The Salvation of Vakasura

One day, says Srinardji, while grazing calves with Balarama and Gwalior hair, Sriharina saw Vakasura approaching the Yamuna. It looked as high as the White Mountain. Big legs and thunder are the same sound! On seeing him, all the children ran away in fear. Its beak was as sharp as a diamond. He made Srihariko his grass as soon as he arrived. Seeing this, everyone started crying profusely. With tears in their eyes, they fell to their deaths. At that time, all the gods came there shouting. Indra immediately struck the great vakas with a Vajra. Vakasura fell to the earth due to Vajra's injury, but did not die. He got up again and stood up. Then Brahma was also angry and killed him with the Brahmadanda. The demon lay unconscious for two hours after falling from the shock. Then he stood up with a great speed, shaking his body. He did not die. The mighty giant began to roar like a cloud. It was at this time that the great asura was struck by the trident by the three-eyed Lord Shankara. Even though one of the demon's wings was cut off by the blow, the monstrous demon could not die. The god Vayu then wielded a north-westerly weapon on Vakasura; he rose slightly above it, but rose back to his position. Yama then appeared and struck him with a yam stick, but the mighty Vakasura did not die from that stick either. Yamaraja's staff was also broken, but Vakasura was not harmed. Just then, the moon-powerful sun god with tremendous rays appeared before him. With the bow in his hand, he shot a hundred arrows at Vakasura. Those sharp arrows landed on his wing, yet he could not die. Then Kubera struck him with a sharp sword. This also cut off his other wing, but it did not reach Daityapungva Mrutyaka. Subsequently, Somadeva used the Niharastra on that Mahavaka. Suffering from a cold from his blow, Vakasura fainted, but did not die; he then stood up. Now the fire god struck the giant with a firearm; it burned his tears, but the giant did not die. Varuna, the lord of the waters, then dragged him down to the earth, tying him with a piece of parachute. The great demon was wounded by the dragons, but he did not die. 1-15 |

Subsequently, Vegasalini Bhadrakali came and attacked him with a mace. Upset by the mace's blow, Wakasura lost Sudha-Buddha in agony. He was wounded in the head, yet he stood up again, shaking and flapping his body, and the mighty giant stood patiently in the battlefield, roaring like a cloud. Skanda, the powerful being at that time, wielded his power over him with great haste. The bird-keeper Asura broke a leg from his blow, but he could not die. Then, thundering like lightning, the demon suddenly attacked with fury and repelled all the gods with his sharp beak. The gods were running back and forth in the sky, and Vakasura was driving them away from behind. After this, the demon returned to the place and began to invoke the entire universe with his lion's roar. 16-20. . (Vrindavan Khand Chapter 1 to 5)

At that time all the Devarshi, Brahmarshi and Dwijas soon blessed Sreenandanandan with success. At the same time, Krishna expanded his luminous divine body within the body of Vakasura. Then the Mahavakka's throat began to crack and he suddenly spit on Krishna. Then when he came near to catch Krishna with a sharp beak, Krishna snatched his tail and hit him on the ground; but he rose again and spread his beak and stood in front of them. Then Krishna took hold of both its beaks with both hands and tore it apart like an elephant would tear a branch of a tree. 21-24 |

At that time, a light came out from the body of the demon who had died and was absorbed into Krishna. Then the gods began to shower divine flowers, cheering. Then all the sons and daughters were amazed; they came from all directions, embraced Lord Krishna, and said, 'All of you! Today you have come out of the face of death skillfully. " . 25-26 |

Thus, after slaying Vakasura, Krishna returned to the Raj Bhavan with joy, singing along with Balarama and Gual-Haal, leading the calves. This heroic character of Lord Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, was described in great detail by the children who returned home. Hearing this, all the Gopas were greatly astonished. 27-28 |

Bahulashva asked - "Devarshe! Who was this Vakasura in the past and what gave him the body of a heron? It is a matter of great fortune that he became absorbed in the Supreme Being, Lord Krishna! . 29.

Shrinaradji said, "O Lord! The daitya named 'Hayagriva' had a son, who became famous by the name 'Utkala'. He had taken away the umbrella of Devaraja Indra by defeating the Devas on the battlefield. The giant Mahabali plundered the kingdom of many more men and kings and enjoyed the omnipotence for a hundred years. One day, Utkala, a wandering demon, went near the Siddha Muni Jajliki foliage at the confluence of the Ganges and the Sagar and repeatedly caught fish by throwing flutes into the water. Though Muni refused, the sage did not listen to him. Munishreshtha Jajli was the Siddha Mahatmya, cursed Utkala, and said, 'Evil! You fish and eat like an eagle, so be an eagle. 'What was it then? Utkala transformed into a bugle at the same moment. All her pride vanished as she was lost in the gloom. He bowed to the sage with folded hands and fell at both their feet. . 30-35 | (Vrindavan Khand Chapter 1 to 5)

Utkala said, "Munna! I did not know your great penance. Jazliji! Protect me The company of saints and mahatmas like you has been considered the gateway to supreme salvation. Those who are equal in enemies and friends, in honor and dishonor, in gold and clay, and in happiness and sorrow are true sadhus, just like you, Mahatma. Oh no! What human desires have not been fulfilled by the philosophy of the Mahatma on this earth? Brahmapada, Indrapada, Samratka Pada, and Yogasiddhi - all can be accessed by the grace of saints. O Lord of the heavens! What happened when people like you got Dharma, Artha and Kamya from Mahatmas? By the grace of the sadhus, one also attains the Absolute Supreme Being. 36-39 |

Shrinaradji says - Nareshwar! At that time, Jajli Muni was pleased to hear Utkala's polite words. They had done penance for sixty thousand years. He said to Utkala. 40.

Jajli said - When the last hour of the twenty-eighth Dwapara has passed since the attainment of Vaivasvata Manvantara, at that time the most perfect Lord Krishna will be grazing cows in Vrindavan, directly within the Vrajmandal located in the Mathur district of India. There is no doubt that on those days you will be absorbed in Lord Krishna. The demons like Hiranyaksha have also attained their supreme status for their animosity towards God. 41 - 43.

Shrinaradji says - Thus the laya in Lord Krishna was obtained by the boon of Utkala daitya Jajlika, who was transformed into Vakasura. What cannot be made accessible by association with the saints? . 44.

Thus was completed the fifth chapter called 'Moksha of Vakasura' under the Sri Vrindavan Khanda in the Srigarghasamhita. 5.
