Govardhan - the salvation of a demon by the touch of a rock and the description of Govardhan's glory by the mouth of that Siddha in divine form

Srinardji says - Rajan! In this theme is narrated an old history, the mere hearing of which leads to the destruction of great sins. 1.

On the banks of the Gautami Ganga (Godavari) lived a Brahmin known as Vijaya. He came to Papanasini Mathurapuri to recover his debt. After completing his work, when he started returning home, he went to the banks of Govardhan. Mithileshwar! There he took a round stone. Slowly while in the forest, as he exited the celestial body, he saw a fierce demon coming from before him. His face was on her chest. He had three legs and six arms, but only three arms. The lips were very thick and the nose was one arm high. His seven hands were long tongues, his tears were as thorns, his eyes large and red, his teeth crooked and fierce. The king. The demon was very hungry, so he appeared to the Brahmin standing there, uttering the word 'Ghur-Ghur'. The Brahmin killed the demon with the stone of Giriraj. As soon as Giriraj touched the rock, he left the demon-body and took the form of Shyama Sundara. Her large eyes began to look like bright lotus leaves. Vanmala, Pitambara, Mukut and Kundala became her major adornment. With a staff and cane in his hand, he began to resemble another Kamadeva. Thus, in a divine form, he bowed repeatedly to the Brahmin deity with folded hands. 2-10 | (Girirajkhand Chapter 6 to 11)

The Siddha said - Brahman Shrestha! Blessed are you, for you are engaged in the good work of saving others from trouble. Excellency! Today you made me free from the demon's vagina. The mere touch of this stone made me feel better. No one was able to save me but you. 11-12 |

The Siddhas said, "Brahman! Shri Giriraj Govardhan Parvat is the direct form of Shriharika. The mere sight of it makes a person grateful. The philosophy of Giriraj is as virtuous as the tablet that a person acquires by traveling to Gandhamadana. Wow! The fruit that is obtained by five thousand years of penance at Kedarnath Tirth is the same as that obtained by man momentarily by doing penance on Govardhan Parvat. 14-16 |

Donating a load of gold to Malayachala is worth a million times as much as donating a masha of gold to Giriraja. The one who bestows the golden daksha on Mount Mangalaprastha attains the likeness of Lord Vishnu despite having hundreds of sins. Man attains the same position of God by simply having a darshan of Giriraj. There is no other Punyatirtha like Giriraj. The one who donates ten million cows laden with gold on Mount Rishab, Mount Kootak, and Mount Kolak also shares in the great virtue by worshipping Brahmins diligently. O Brahman! Even a million times more virtuous than that is accessible by simply visiting Govardhan Parvat. The virtuous fruits that a person finds when he travels to Rishyamukha, Sahyagiri, and Devagiri and the whole earth, he gets even more than a million times more fruits when he travels to Giriraj Govardhan. Therefore, there has never been a pilgrimage like that of Giriraj and there will never be one in the future. 17-23 | (Girirajkhand Chapter 6 to 11)

A virtuous man who stays on Srisailam for ten years and bathes daily in the Vidyadhara-kund there reaps the fruits of a hundred sacrifices; but a man who bathes one day in the Govardhan mountain's tail-kund reaps the fruits, no doubt, of the direct rituals of the Kotijñas. By performing an Ashwamedha-yajna ritual on Venkatachala, Varidhara, Mahendra, and Vindhyachal, a person becomes the lord of the heavenly realm; but the one who performs the yajna on this Govardhan mountain and gives the best daksha, steps on the head of the heavenly realm and goes to the abode of Lord Vishnu. Double whammy! On the day of Sri Rama Navami at Chitrakoot mountain at Payaswini (Mandakini), on the third day of Vaishakha at Pariyatra mountain, on the full moon day at Kukurachal, on the day of Dwadashi at Neelachal, and on the Saptami at Indrakeel mountain, the virtuous acts of bathing, charity, and penance, etc., are multiplied. O Brahman! Similarly, at Govardhan Tirtha in India, the Sranadi auspiciousness performed becomes infinite. When Jupiter is in the zodiac sign of Leo, it is in the Godavari, and when it is in the zodiac sign of Aquarius, it is in the Hardwar. When it is in the Pushyanakshatra, it is in Pushkar. When it is in the solar eclipse, it is in Kurukshetra. When it is in the lunar eclipse, it is in Kashi. When it is in the Phalguna, it is in the Naimisharanya. On Ekadashi, it is in the Shukratirtha. On Kartik Purnima, it is in the Garhmukteshwar. On Janmashtami, it is in the Mathuram. On Dwadashi, it is in the Khandav-Van. On Kartik Purnima, it is near the Mahavata called Vateshwar. On Makar Sankranti, it is in the Prayag-Teertha. When it is in the Vidyut-Yoga, it is in the Barhishmati. On Shri Ram Navami, it is on the banks of the Sarayuk near Ayodhya. On Shiva Chaturdashi, it is in the auspicious Vaidyanath-Van He becomes a millionaire. The same virtue is attained only by a journey to Mount Govardhan. Maithilendra! Whoever bathes in the Nirmal Govindkund with his heart devoted to Lord Krishna attains the likeness of Lord Krishna - there is no doubt about it. The Manasi Ganges on our Govardhan mountain is devoid of the thousands of Ashwamedha yajnas and hundreds of Rajasuya yajnas that are akin to a dip. Wow! You have directly seen, touched and bathed in Giriraj, so there is no one else on this earth above you. Look at me if you don't believe me. I was a great devotee, but I attained the likeness of Lord Krishna only by touching the rock of Govardhan. 24-41 |
