English translation

Appointment of various kinsmen in the yajna by the king in different functions; cleansing of the feet of the Brahmins by Krishna; indigestion of the fire god by the burning of ghee; entrance of the sacrificial animal Tej into Krishna; transformation of his body into camphor; his oblation and abhrutastra at the conclusion of the yajna.

Sriganganji says - Maharaj. Mahatma Raja Ugrasena's yajna was attended by all the kinsmen bound by a bond of love. The Yadava king engaged his kinsmen in various engagements. Bhimsen was made the president of the kitchen. Dharmaraja Yudhishthira was appointed to the Dharmapala-related duties. The king appointed Arjuna in the service of the noble men, Nakul in the presentation of various substances, Sahadeva in the act of worship, and Duryodhana in place of the chieftain of wealth. Donors engaged Karna in charity, Draupadi in service, and the eighteen great sons of Krishna in protection. 1 - 4.

Bhupala then placed Yayudhana, Vikarna, Hridika, Vidura, Akrura, and Uddhava in various karmas and asked Lord Krishna, "Deva! What task would you like to take up? 'Hearing him, Lord Krishna said - 'Rajan! I will do the work of cleansing the feet of the Brahmins. I did the same thing in Indraprastha. Hearing this, the gods and goddesses like Brahma and the humans on the ground began to laugh. 5 - 7. (Ashwamedh Khand Chapter 51 to 58)

Sriganganji says - Rajan. Having said this, Lord Krishna directly washed the feet of the ascetic sages and ascetics and made them sit on appropriate seats. Wearing new clothes, wearing twelve tilaks, various beads adorned with divine ornaments - garlands made of different types of art. Sitting on many seats, they chewed the betel leaves of Brahmin leaves and adorned themselves like deities in the Yajna mandapa. 8-10 |

Then all the mendicants, the mendicants, the ants, and the hungry came from a far country, and begged there, 'O Lord! Give us food, give us food, give us food. Provide a lamp, utensils, clothes, and blankets. 11-12 |

In that yajna of Ugrasena, full of saints and kings, Yadukulatilaka the great granted them gold, silver, garments, utensils, elephants, horses, chariots, cows, umbrellas, and cymbals with great joy and enthusiasm on hearing the compassionate plea of those beggars. The king gave whatever he liked to those who loved it. 13-14 |

King Ugrasena, who was initiated into the yajna, was taking a bath with Queen Ruchimati. In the Vedic scriptures, twenty thousand Brahmins like Vyasa and Garga were performing the supreme sacrifice. Oh dear Lord! A stream of ghee, thick like the trunk of an elephant, was falling in the bonfire and the Brahmoist sages were bringing it down. By the grace of Lord Krishna, in that yajna, the fire god became indigestible. They all listened and said to the king, 'I am pleased, I am pleased. Now give me the animal. Yadavendra Ugrasena, along with the sages, heard Agni's words in the Yajna assembly and spoke to the horse, tied with a golden thread in a golden thread. 15-20 |

Ugrasena said, "O horse! You listen to the voice of Agreedev. Even if you are satisfied with the ghee in the sacrifice, the fire god will make your pure sacrificial animals his food. 21.

Hearing the king's words, Shyamakarna Ashwana looked at Krishna with delight and shook his head in approval. (Ashwamedh Khand Chapter 51 to 58)

Then a light appeared from the horse's body, which, in the sight of all, absorbed Madhusudana and Krishna. After this, the horse's body collapsed into a camphor. It is as if Vibhuti has fallen from the body of Lord Shankar. May Maharishi Vyasa and others be very happy to see that wonderful camphor sign and to know that its fragrance fragrant the Yajnasala and Dwarkapuri, said to the king involved in the Yajna-Karma - 'Nripa-Sreshtha! Thankfully, your noble sacrifice was a success. Now we will perform the havan with this Karpoor and so will you. " 22-33 |

- Having said this, all the rithvis called for Ghansara (camphor) for the purpose of Yajñeshvara at that very moment in the Yajna Kund. King Vajranabha! What was rare in a place where Lord Krishna, the four-headed God, was seated with his sons and grandsons? In that yajna, I said to Mahendra - 'Oh my God! In this yajna, take the aarti of camphor. Come, accept this call given by King Ugrasena; now it will become rare in the Kali Yuga ahead. " 34-363 |

Hearing my words, Indra smiled and said, "O sages! When the Kauravas will perish in the Kaurava-Pandava war and Dharmaraja Yudhishthira will perform the Uttama Ashvamedha Yajna at Hastinapur, I will accept again such an offering made by the Brahmins. Why are you calling it rare? '. 37-38 |

The Supreme Being Upon hearing this statement of Indra, all the sages accepted it as true and offered prayers to all the deities in the yajna. Others did not understand what Indra had said. Brahmins invoke all the gods with the mantra 'Agnaye Swaha'. The whole world was pleased with the homa of camphor. King Ugrasena returned to the great sacrifice. 39-41 |

Subsequently, Maharaja Ugrasena, along with the Shrestha Brahmins, the Yadavas like Shrikrishna, and the other Bhupalas, performed the abhishekana at the Pindaraka Tirtha at the conclusion of the yajna. By prostrating with his wife according to the Vedakotta, wearing silk robes, the king began to adorn himself in a manner similar to that of a yajna deity adorned with dakshina. At that time the groans of the gods and the groans of men were kindled. All the gods started showering flowers on King Ugrasena. Vyas then distributed prasad of yajnasheya purodas to all the people by making them drink and drink purodas respectively. With thunderous applause, the captives cheered and praised King Ugrasena. Then women like Devaki performed aarti for him. Pleased after the aarti, the Maharaja gave all the women a variety of runs, clothes, and ornaments. 42-47 |

Thus was completed the fifty-sixth chapter of the Ashvamedha Khanda under the Srigargha Samhita, titled 'The King's Anointment on the Completion of the Sacrifice'. 56.
