Atrocities of Kansa; Avatar of Balabhadraji and his hymns by Vyasadeva
Srinardji says - Rajan! Kansa thought that Vasudeva should not run away in fear - he sent many soldiers as soon as this thought came to his mind. At the behest of Kansa, ten thousand armed soldiers arrived and surrounded Vasudevji's house. In due course, Vasudeva gave birth to eight sons from Devaki's womb, which were born a year later. Then she also gave birth to a maiden, who was the traditional Maya of God. The first son to be born was named Kirtiman. Vasudevji picked him up from the godown and took him to Kansa. They also understood the other person's purpose well, so they gave the child to Kansko. Kansa felt pity for seeing Vasudevji's promptness in keeping his word of truth. Sadhus endure suffering, but do not let what they say be false. Who does not feel a sense of forgiveness when they see the truth? . 1 - 4. .
Kansa said, "Vasudeva! I have no fear that this child will return home with you. But the eighth womb you two will have, I will surely slay - there is no doubt about it. 5 | (Golok Khand Chapters 6 to 10)
Shrinaradji says - Mithileshwar! When I said this to him, Kansa was very angry with Udyog for killing demons by the gods. He considered killing the Yadavas at that very moment. He imprisoned Vasudeva and Devaki with strong shackles and crushed Devaki's first-born child on a stone platform. He remembered the events of his previous life, so in fear of Lord Vishnu and also due to his evil nature, he killed every child of Devaki who appeared on this earth at birth. He had no hesitation in doing so. Seeing all this, Yadukul-Naraja King Ugrasena was enraged at that time. He helped Vasudevji and stopped Kansa from committing atrocities. Seeing Kansa's evil intentions firsthand, the great Yadava heroes rose up against him. They stayed behind Ugrasena, guarding him with their swords. Seeing Ugrasena's followers ready for war, the privateers of Kansa also stood up to face him. It was in the court hall that the two parties began to battle each other. A battle also broke out between the heroes of the two parties at Rajdwar. They all began to open up and brandish swords at each other. Ten thousand men lived in the fields during this conflict. Kansa then took up mace and began to crush his father's army. Many people were beheaded, their legs amputated, their nails broken, their arms amputated, and their hopes dashed when they were touched by his donkey. Some were shot in the face and others were shot in the arm and collapsed in an instant. Many of the heroes fainted and fell on their cheeks while spilling blood. There was so much blood that the whole hall was stained. . 11-20 |
Rajarajeshwara! Thus the wicked and drunken Kansa, in a fit of rage, overthrew the eccentric enemies and imprisoned his father. He was dethroned by the evil one, bound in chains, and imprisoned along with his friends. Kansa himself ascended the throne, taking control of all the possessions of Madhu and Shurasena, and began to rule the kingdom. All the victims immediately went inside different countries in all directions on the pretext of going to the house of Yadav's relatives and waited for the right opportunity. Devaki's seventh womb was an outgrowth of both joy and sorrow for her, in which the Eternal God had descended directly. Yogamaya dragged the womb of Devaki into Rohini's womb in a fit of rage. When this happened, the people of Mathura expressed regret and said, 'Ah! Where did the poor Devaki's womb go? How did it fall? Only five days had passed since that womb in Vraj that Anantadeva emerged from the womb of Vasudeva's wife Rohini on Wednesday, in the Swati Nakshatra, on Bhadrapada Shukla Shashthi. The baby was born in the afternoon at Tula Lagna, surrounded by five higher planets. In that Janmavela, when the gods were showering flowers and the clouds were scattering rainbows, Anantadeva, who appeared, illuminated the Nanda Bhavan with his angakanti. Nandarayaji also donated a million cows to the Brahmins by performing the Jatakarmanas for the infant. The gopas were invited and held a grand auspicious festival with the music of singers who excelled in fine music. The Deval, Devarat, Vasistha, Brihaspati, and I, along with Narada, sat there with Shrikrishna Dvayapayana Vyasa and were extremely pleased with the gifts given by Nanda Ji. 21-30 |
Nundarayaji asked - "O sages! Who is this beautiful child that no one else looks up to? Dear Sir! How was it born in just five days? Tell me about it. 31.
Srinardji says - Rajan! Nanda then, amazed, gave him a vision of the child-like remnant. Satyavatinandan paid obeisance and praised Seshaji by having a darshan of him seated in the cradle. 35.
Srivyasji said, "Oh my God! You are the supreme deity of the gods as well as the Kāmapala (Maker of all desires), salute to you. You are indeed Anantadeva Sheshnag, Balarama; my salutation to you. You are Dharnidhar, Purna Swaroop, Swayam Prakash, the one who holds the plough in his hands, adorned with a thousand heads, and the deity of attraction, salutations to you. Revathi - Raman! You are Baldev and Krishna's elder brother. Halayudha and Paralabhasuraka are the destroyers. Purushottam! Mayst thou protect me You are the bearer of the flag bearing the emblem of Bal, Balabhadra and Tala; salute to you. You are blue-clad, blonde, and the son of Rohini; I bow to you. You are the enemy of Dhenuka, Mushtaq, Kumbhand, Rukmi, Kupakarna, Koota, and Balvala. You are the one who diverted the currents of Kalindi and drew Hastinapur towards the Ganges. You are the destroyer of the two worlds, the lord of the Yadavas, and the mandan (jewel) of the universe. Thou art the Lord who slayest the brethren of Kansa, and who traveleth in pilgrimage. You are also the guru of Duryodhana himself. O Lord! Protect the world, protect it. The Supreme Being, who is never removed from His glory, is truly infinite! Hail to you, Hail. Your happiness pervades the entire horizon. Apsurendra, Munindra and Phanindra are the best. There are Muslims, Haldars, and Balwans; greetings to you. Whoever recites this hymn always in this world will attain the supreme position of Srihari. In the world he will have all the power to destroy enemies. He will always be victorious and will be the owner of plenty of wealth *. . 36-44 | (Golok Khand Chapters 6 to 10)
Srinardji says - Rajan! Parasharanandan went to the banks of the Saraswati river with the sage Satyavatikumar Sri Krishna Dwayapayana Vedavyasa, who was a great-wisdom Badrayana, bowing and circumambulating Balaram a hundred times. 45.
