The marriage of Krishna with sixteen thousand one hundred and eight queens and their progeny description; Prakatya of Pradyumna and his marriage with Rati and Rukma-daughter
Shrinaradji says - Mithileshwar! Now listen to the account of the benevolent marriage of Krishna's other wives, which is the best remedy for all sins, benevolent, and life-enhancing. 1.
Famously known as Satrajit, Yadav was given the Syamantaka gem directly by Lord Surya. Lord Krishna asked for the gem for King Ugrasena. Mithileshwar! Satrajit, out of greed for substance, did not give the gem; for the gem itself yielded eight pounds of gold every day. One day, Prasena, the brother of Satrajit, tied the gem around his neck and mounted an Indus-based horse to hunt in the forest. There, a lion killed Prasen. Then the lion was also killed by the Jambavan and immediately the Jambavan took the bead and went to his cave. The satraps began to preach that 'my brother Prasen had gone to the forest with a bead around his neck, but Lord Krishna killed him there; that is why he did not come to the assembly hall this morning'. 2 - 6.
The Lord was afflicted with a vengeance. They took some civilians and went into the forest. The great There he first saw the body of a dead Prasenke with a horse and a lion killed by someone else. Seeing this, they reached the Raksharaja Jambawanki cave, tracing the footprint. Then directly Srihari entered the cave to bring the gem from there and fought for twenty-eight days and Raksharaja Jambavanpar was victorious. Rajendra! Jambavan handed over his beautiful daughter Jambavati to Srihari with the bead. With him, the Lord returned to Dwarkama. He gave the gem to Satrajit and got rid of the stigma himself. Satrajit felt very ashamed of his actions and started living in fear with his face down. Mithileshwar! He also offered his daughter Satyabhama and the bead at the feet of the Lord to keep peace in the Yadava family. 7-11 |
Subsequently, Lord Krishna went to Indraprastha (Delhi) to help the Pandavas. They spent four months of the rainy season there. One day, while riding a chariot with Arjuna, a Gandivadhari, Srihari Nirmal, filled with sweat, wandered to hunt on the banks of the Yamuna. There, directly Kalindi Devi was meditating with a desire to attain Lord Krishna as her husband. The Pandavas Arjuna showed them to Krishna. Then the Lord came to Indraprastha with them. From there, he reached Dwarakama and solemnized his marriage with the beautiful Suryakanya Kalindi. At that time, the Param Mangalya Utsav was held in full swing. 12-15 | (Dwarkand Chapter 6 to 10)
Avantika was a daughter of the king, who was known for her beauty and grace. Her name was Mitravinda. Lord Krishna also brought the physical friend of Rukmini, Mitravinda, from Swayamvara. 16.
King Nagrajit had a daughter, popularly known as Satyake. For her marriage, the king made a vow that he would give his daughter to "the seven bulls that Nath would give at the same time." "Lord Krishna, in the sight of all the people, married the seven bulls to Nathakar Satya. 17.
Kekayarajakumari Bhadra was also brought to her house by Lord Srihari as per her wish. There, he solemnized his marriage with Bhadra, as with Kalindi. 18.
Sixteen thousand and one hundred princesses were imprisoned in the prison of Bhaumasura. The Lord killed Bhoumasur and freed him from his captivity. Seeing the desire of these virtuous young women, he brought them with him. 20.
At the same moment, the Lord ceremoniously took all the young women who were living in different buildings and assumed the same form out of his delusion. Thus sixteen thousand one hundred and eight queens - each of them produced ten sons each of Krishna. He was like his father in all aspects. 21-22 | (Dwarkand Chapter 6 to 10)
Pradyumra first appeared from the womb of Rukmini, a Bhishmakanya. He was an incarnation of Kamadeva and, like his father, was endowed with all auspicious attributes. Within ten days, the ruthless Shambarasura picked them up from the cotton shed and threw them into the sea. There he was swallowed by a fish, however, he did not die in the stomach of Srikrishna Kumar Matsya. Pradyumna emerged from the fish when it was cut into the stomach of Shambarasura. There he was raised by his former wife, Rati. When he grew up and began his youth, he learned of his enemy's exploits. The king! Then, after slaying his enemy Shambarasura, he came to Dwarakama with the divine Bharya Rati. That act of his was very strange and wonderful. 23-26 |
The king! Maharathy brought the daughter of Sri Krishna's son Pradyumna Rukmi from Swayamvara Sthal in Bhojkata town and got married to her at Dwarakama. A son named Aniruddha was born to Pradyumna, who had the strength of ten thousand elephants. He was considered to be an incarnation of Brahma. His eyes were as dark as the bright blue lotus of autumn. 27-28 |
Thus I have described to you the fourfold star of the most perfect God and the most benevolent and peculiar character of his marriage, which is the redeemer of all sins, the benefactor, and the best means of increasing life. The king! Now what do you want to hear again? . 29-30 |
Thus was completed the eighth chapter in the Narada Bahulashva-Samvad under Dwarka Khanda in the Srigarghasamhita, titled 'Description of the Marriage of All the Queens of Lord Krishna'. 8.
