An account of the Shrutirupa gopis, their doubts about Krishna and Durvasamuni and their removal by Krishna
Atasikusumopameyakantiryamunakulakudambarvadi. Vithanotu Manglani is a newly married woman with rich forestry.
May the Vanamali Sri Krishna expand the mangala, 'whose angakantiko is likened to the flax flower, which is present at the base of the Kadamba tree on the Yamuna bank and is exquisitely adorned with new Gopanganas.' 1.
Parikkarita Pitapattam Hari Shikhikirtanitakritha Kandharam. Lakkutvenukkaram chalkundalam patutaram nataveshadharam bhajans.
'I perform bhajans (meditations) to the Supreme Patu, the Natvesha-wearing Lord Krishna, who has placed the Pitambara's font on his head adorned with a peacock feather crown, and his neck tilted to one side, holding a lakuti and Vamsi hands, and his ears twinkling with a faint kundal. 2.
Bahulashwa asked, "Munna! How did the gopis like Srutirupa, who according to the Purvapradattavara had already appeared in Vraja, fulfill their purpose by receiving the company of Srikrishna Chandra? The Great War! The character of Gopala Srikrishnachandra is the most wonderful, say this; because you are the best among the gods. 3-4. (Madhurikand Chapter 1 to 5)
Srinardji said, "Vidhehraj! The gopis who were Śruti rupas originated in the noble clan of the vrajavasi gopas, the foretold lineage of the Seshashayi god Vishnu. They worshipped Vrindavaneshwari Vrindadevi in Vrindavan with a desire to see the most beautiful Nandananda and get her in the form of a boon. Lord Srihari, a devout devotee of Vrinda's grant, was soon pleased with him and began visiting his homes daily for Rasa-Krida. O Lord! One night, after two o'clock in the night, Lord Krishna went to her house for Rasa. At that time, the anxious gopis worshipped the Supreme Lord with great devotion and asked in a sweet voice. 5 - 9.
The gopis said - Aghanashana Sri Krishna! Just as Chakori looks forward to the sighting of the moon, we Gopanganas look forward to meeting you. So why didn't you come to our house sooner? . 10.
The Lord said, "Beloved! He who dwells in the heart is never far from it. Behold, the sun is in the sky, and the lotus is on the earth; yet it blooms at the sight of them (it feels the sun very close to it). Oh dear! Today, my direct Guru Bhagwan Durvasa Muni has reached Bhandir-Van. I had gone to serve them. The Guru is Brahma, the Guru is Vishnu, the Guru is Lord Maheshwara, and the Guru is the Supreme Brahman. My salutations to that Sri Guru. Salutations to Shri Gurudev, who has opened the eyes of a blind man blind to the darkness of ignorance, with the glow of enlightenment. My guru must understand my nature and never disregard him. Gurus are the embodiment of the entire pantheon of gods. Therefore, one should not serve them as ordinary human beings. Oh dear! I have reached your house late by worshipping him and paying obeisance at his feet. 11-16 |
Srinardji says - Rajan! Hearing this noble word of Lord Krishna, all the Gopangas were amazed. She bowed her head with folded hands and spoke to Lord Krishna. 17.
The gopis said, "O Lord! This is quite a surprise. Knowing that you yourself are the Guru Durvasa of the Absolute God, our hearts are filled with eagerness to see him. Oh God! Oh God! Oh! How can we have a glimpse of him when two o'clock has passed tonight? In the middle, the mighty river Yamuna stands as a barrier; therefore, Dev! How would it be possible to cross the Yamuna without a boat? . 18-20 | (Madhurikand Chapter 1 to 5)
The Lord said, "Beloved! If you must go there, reach out to Yamunaji to find a way by saying: 'If Shri Krishna is Balabrahmachari and devoid of all kinds of defects, then the best among the Saritas is Yamunaji!' Give us the way. "When you say this, the Yamuna will automatically give you the way. May all of you walk happily on that path. 21-23 |
Srinardji says - Rajan! Hearing this, all the gopis went to the banks of the Yamuna with fifty-six bhogas in different huge pots and bowed their heads and repeated what Lord Krishna had said. Maithileshwar! Yamuna then immediately gave way to the gopis. By that route, all the gopis reached near Bhandir-Vatke, much to their surprise. There he circumambulated Durvasamuniki and had a darshan of her with a lot of food in front of her. Then everyone began to say, 'Munne. Take my food first, eat my food first. Munisrestha Durvasa, knowing the devotional spirit of the gopis arguing with each other in this way, said this Vimal Vachana. 24-28 |
The sage said, "O gopis! I am Kritakritya Paramahamsa, passive. Therefore, put your food in my mouth with your own hands. 29.
Srinardji says - Rajan! With great joy all the gopis began to put their fifty-six bhogas together in their mouths as they spread out their mouths. Munishwar Durvasa, staring at the gopis while pouring food, stammered like a victim of hunger all those indulgences, which were not less than a million pounds. The gopis looked at each other in surprise. The Supreme Being In this way, all their utensils were emptied. Then all the gopis, amazed at the most serene and devout sage, bowed down wholeheartedly and said so. 30-33 |
Shrinaradji says - Nareshwar! Hearing this, the gopis bowed down to the sage and came to the banks of the Yamuna and, after saying what the sage had said, crossed the river and came to Lord Krishna. Those Mangaldhama gopis were amazed by the peculiar experience of this journey. Subsequently, in the rasa, the Gopangas looked at Krishna and asked him about the doubts they had. In solitude, Srihari had fulfilled all their desires. 39-41 |
The Gopis said, "O Lord! We have seen Durvasa Munika before him; but upon hearing the words of both of you, we are filled with doubt as to their veracity. Just as Guruji is a liar, Chellaji is also a liar - there is no doubt about it. Ignorance! You are the vice-principal of the gopis and have been a jester since childhood, then tell us clearly how you became a child-brahmachari; and how are these Durvasa who eat a lot of food (bhar-ke-bara chhappan bhog) in front of us, who only drink the juice of Durvaka? Vrajeshwar! This great doubt has arisen in our minds. . 42-443 |
The Lord said, "O Gopis! There is no doubt that I am devoid of affection and ego, have the same attitude towards everyone, are omnipresent, the most excellent, always devoid of inequality and devoid of natural qualities. Yet, as the devotees worship Me, so do I worship them. In the same way, the wise Sadhus and Mahatmas are always devoid of heterogeneity. A learned man with yoga should not discriminate between the ignorant who are engaged in karmas. Always make them consume all the karmas. All the karmas of a man whose samarambha (organization) are void of desire and will are burned up by advances in the form of knowledge (that is, for him those karmas are not binding). Such a man is called a jnanijana pundit (philosopher). One who has no desire in his mind, who has taken control of the mind and intellect, and who has given up all accumulation, does not attain to kilvisha (the auspicious fruit of karma) merely by performing bodily and subsistence-related karmas. There is nothing in this world as sacred as knowledge. The yogic person acquires that knowledge on his own in due course of time. One who renounces attachment to all karmas by sacrificing Brahma does not engage in sin in the same way as by burning a lotus leaf. So in front of Durvasa you became a great eater, eager to serve everyone's interests. By themselves they never have a desire for food. They eat only a limited amount of food. 45-52 |
Shrinaradji says - Maithileshwar! Hearing this statement of Lord Krishna, the doubts of all the gopis were destroyed. Those sruti rupa gopanganas became enlightened. 53.
Thus was completed the first chapter called 'Upakhyan of the Shrutirupa Gopis' in the Shrinarada Bahulashva-Samvad under Madhuryakanda in the Srigarghasamhita. 1.
