The slaying of Sunandana by Nandikeshwara: Aniruddha's fainting hurt by Lord Shiva's trident; Shiva's rebuke by Samba; Samba and Shiva's battle and Lord Krishna's auspiciousness in the battlefield

Sriganganji says - Rajan. Mrityunjaya Shiva was enraged to see Bhairava sleeping. He induced his bullock Nandikeshvara to attack the heroic Abhimanyu. At the same time, Taurus, filled with anger, began to roam in the army, striking Yadavarvo with both horns, teeth, and hind legs. He quickly struck Sunandan standing in front of him with one of his horns. The blow from the horn shattered Sunandana's thorax and he attained the Panchatva. 1-3.

Then Aniruddha, seated on an elephant, came there with great fury, taking the bow, tying the armour and saying, 'Do not be afraid, do not be afraid.' Aniruddha was very sad to see that Sri Krishna's son Veera Sunandana was killed there. They were filled with grief and trembling. Mourning the death of Mahavira, Shiva said to Aniruddha, "Mahabali, Aniruddha. You shall not grieve in the battlefield. Running away in battle has been considered offensive to knights. Therefore fight diligently with me, you also, on the battlefield. You have come before me with a desire for war and are about to lose your life. You have to protect them. " 4-7 | (Ashwamedh Khand Chapter 36 to 40)

Srigarji says - Rajan! Hearing this, Yadukulatilaka Aniruddha gave up grief and shot five arrows at Shiva's head. The five arrows became entangled in Maheshwar's mace and resembled a vulture's winged botanical branch. Rudra then placed an arrow on his staff and suddenly cut off Aniruddha's bow. Aniruddha then quickly reciprocated his strong bow and also shattered Shankarji's bow appeal with a stroke. Then, on hearing the news of a wonderful and thrilling battle between the two, the gods Indra and Adi, seated on a plane, came there with curiosity, and seeing the battle in the sky, they spoke to each other with fear and awe. 8-13 |

The gods said - these two are the creators and destroyers of Tribhuvan. Therefore, the battle between the two is futile in the battlefield. Who will win this war and who will be defeated? (How can this be said). 14.

Srigarji says - Rajan! The two of them then fought a very heavy battle for three days. Rudra then angrily attacked the bow and struck the Brahmastra, which was there capable of annihilating the three worlds. But Aniruddha removed the Brahmastra from the Brahmastra, the Parvatastra from the Vajra, and the Agnisastra from the Parshniyastra. Then Shiva, the bearer of the pinak, became agitated with great anger. He struck Pradyumna Nandana Aniruddha with a trident with three spikes. He ripped apart the trident Aniruddha and left, tearing apart the elephant as well, and placed the upper wing and lower face between them. The elephant died instantly and Aniruddha too was mute on the battlefield. They both fell right next to each other in the battlefield due to a broken thoracic area. There was a sense of panic at the time. All the Yadavs started crying. Just as the sinners were terrified before Yamraj, so were all the Yadavas before Rudra Dev. Upon hearing the news that Aniruddha had fallen like a dead man, Samba, suspicious, left Skanda and went there. Tears welled up in Sambak's eyes as he saw Yadavveer's moustache and took the bow in his hands, angrily shouting at Shiv Sena - "Rudra! How will you follow the demons by killing Aniruddha and Veer Sunandana in the war? I had earlier heard in the Vedas and the Bhagavata-Shastra from the Brahmins that Shiva is a Vaishnava and they always chant hymns to the Supreme Brahman, signifying 'Shri Krishna'. When Pradyumna Kumar collapsed today, it was all in vain. Sunandana is the son of Krishna, but you also killed him in battle. Maheshwar! Shiva! You are fighting a futile war. You are disgusting You are alienated from Lord Krishna; therefore, I will slay you soon in the battlefield with barbers and scythes. You stand up, you stand up. " 15-27 |

On hearing this, Lord Shankar was pleased and thus spoke. 28.

While Lord Bhoothnath Shiva was saying this, Samban, filled with rage, hurriedly injured him with barbed wire and scythes left from his bow. Rudradeva did not feel the slightest pain even after being hurt by those arrows, as Gajraj does not realize when he is hit with flowers. Now Shiva raised his bow and shot many sharp arrows at Jambavathi Kumar in the battle. Samba Shivko and Shiv Sambko started injuring each other. Seeing the battle between them, the gods began to believe that all the worlds were about to be destroyed. The king! There was a great noise in the earth and in the sky. The entire Vrishni-vamsi was terrified and remembered their protector Lord Krishna. 32-36 | (Ashwamedh Khand Chapter 36 to 40)

Knowing then that great calamity had befallen the Yadavas, Shriyadukula Palaka reached there on a chariot mounted by Shatrusudana horse and charioteer. His penis was dark in color. The crown on the head was shining brightly. The eyes would take away the beauty of the new blue lotus. Lord Shyamsundar, who wore millions of new sun rays, was holding a Kaumodaki mace, conch shell, chakra, lotus, bow, arrow, and sword in his hands. Decorated with Srivatsa symbols, Kaustubhamani, Pitambar, and Vanamala, Srihari was adorned with blue areas and ornaments such as Kundal, Kankan, etc., adorned with millions of Kamadevas. Just as the swans were dropping pearls from their mouths, their chariots were studded with horses of great speed and grace, such as Sugriva, who spewed white foam. Just as those who are afraid of the cold become happy on seeing the rising of the sun, so the Yadavas marveled at the good fortune of their Lord Krishna. At that time, there was jubilation in the Yadava army. The gods in the sky began to shower flowers. Samba was ecstatic when Lord Krishna came to his aid and fell at his feet, abandoning the bow. 37-43 |

Thus was completed the thirty-eighth chapter in the Ashvamedha Khanda under the Srigargha Samhita, 'The Coming of Krishna to the Aid of Aniruddha etc.' 38.
