Darshan and sermon of Dattatreya near Sahyaparvat and presentation of the form of best devotee and hospitality of Yadava army by Parashurama Ji on Mahendra Parvat
Srinardji says - Rajan! Subsequently, Srikrishna Kumar went to Srirangakshetra after having darshan of Pradyumna Rishabha Parvata in the form of Kamadeva. Then after seeing the best of Kanjipuri and Sarita, went across the Kaveri River to the neighbouring countries of Sahagari. Bhagwanprayumna Hari was accompanied by a large army of Yadavas. Maithileshwar! They saw an open-haired Digambar Avadhoot running towards their military camp. His body is sturdy and he is covered with dust. The children are running after him and clapping, shouting and laughing. On seeing Avadhuta, Pradyumna, one of the wisest sons of Lord Krishna, spoke to Uddhav. 1-43 |
Pradyumna said, "Who is this man of good health, running away like a child, mad, and a vampire?" It also laughs at being despised by people and is extremely cheerful. 5 - 6.
Uddhav said, "This Paramahamsa is Mahamuni Dattatreya, the Kalavatar of Avadhuta Sriharike, who is always seen as blissful." From their offerings, the previous great kings Sahasrarjuna etc. and Yadu and Prahlada etc. have attained supreme perfection. 7 - 8.
Srinardji says - Rajan! Hearing this, Yadu-Kula-Tilaka Pradyumna worshipped and saluted the sage and questioned him by placing him on the divine seat. 9.
Pradyumna said, "Oh my God! There is a doubt in my heart, Lord! Destroy that one. What is the nature of the world, who are the paths of Brahman and what is the essence? Explain all of this in detail. 10. (Vishwajitkhand chapters 11 to 15)
Dattatreya said that unless the object is visible due to darkness, a brilliant meteor or torch is needed. When Mahananda is subdued, what is the purpose of your meteor? Oh dear! The world remains in abeyance until there is knowledge of the essence. What is the purpose of the world when the Supreme Being is known or attained? Just as the reflection of the face appears in a mirror, but the real body is different from it, so is the principal, that is, the conscious being reflected in nature, but in the light of knowledge he is proven to be the Supreme Being. Just as all things are visible to the eye at sunrise, so is the realization of Brahman at enlightenment. Then the creature is nowhere to be seen. 11-14 |
Naradji says - Rajan! Hearing the sermon thus, Yadavaraja Pradyumra saluted him, and with the army he went to Vaikuntha (Venkatachala) in the Dravidian country. Rajarshi Satyavaka, the master theologian of the Dravidian country, honored Pradyumna with great devotion. He then visited Pampa Sarovar after having a darshan of Srisailaka and having a darshan of the magnificent Shiva temple there and Skandaswamy. Subsequently, Shridwaraka Nath Pradyumna went to Mahendrachala, visiting Bhagavata shrines like Godavari and Bhimarthi. On that mountain sat Bhriguvanshi Parashurama, the last of the Kshatriyas. After saluting him and circumambulating him, Srikrishnanandan stood there. Rajendra! Parashurama blessed him and treated the Chaturangini army of the Yadavas with yogic energy. Dals, rice, chutney, bhaji pakoras soaked in yogurt, shukran, avaleh (vinegar or pickle), palanquin saag, ikshubhishika (edible items made of rabi and sugar - special), triangular dessert made of sugar mixture (gujiya, samosa, etc.), bada, madhushirishka (desserts like madhupark or ghevar), fenika (feni), uparishta (puri or pua, etc.), porous satpatra (a type of sweet), chakrabhushinchhika (sweets with circular markings, imirati, etc.), sudhakundalika (jalebi), ghitpur (ghee-made poo) Mandoori (saagka rasa), kumhada, papad, shaktika (energy-boosting drinks, grapes, etc.), lassi, suviramla (sour kanji), sudharas (honey or sweet sherbet), exquisite fruits, candy, various kinds of fruits, mohanbhog, (halwa), salty substances, sweet, astringent, bitter and sour various kinds of food items - all these have been called chhappan bhog. Bhrigukula-Bhushana Parashurama with his yogic strength piled up all these materials like mountains. Even when the whole army had eaten, the mountains of food there were no longer small. All the people were amazed at the splendor of Parashurama. The king! Shrikrishna Kumar Pradyumna, including the Yadavas, saluted Parashurama at that time and asked in front of everyone as follows. 15-30 | (Vishwajitkhand chapters 11 to 15)
Pradyumna said, "Oh my God! You provided excellent food to all of us. O Lord! May all prosperity and accomplishments be at your feet. Now I want to know who is the beloved devotee of Sriharika among all the Haribhaktas? Viprendra! Say this to me, for you are the most excellent of scholars. 31-32 |
Parashurama said, "O Lord! You ask like normal people, even if you don't know what. You roam on the ground floor doing satsang like this only to educate people. The Akinchan who has no collection, who is attracted only by the pollen of the Charanarvindus of Sriharika, who is eager to listen to the beautiful story of Srihariki and whose heart is immersed in the waves of the Lord's form, is said to be a beloved devotee of Sri Krishna Chandra. Oh God! The great man who has subjugated his mind and senses, who has affection and compassion for all living beings, who is calm, tolerant, extremely compassionate, friendly and good-for-all, is said to be a beloved devotee of Lord Krishna. He purifies the whole world with the dust of His feet. The one who constantly takes refuge in the dust of the feet of the Supreme Being Sriharika, never desires the entire Brahma-pad, Indra-pad, the position of the Chakravarti Emperor, the dominion of the abyss, yogasiddhi, and even moksha, is the supreme devotee of the Supreme Being. It is the supreme devotee of the Supreme Personality of Godhead who consumes the supreme post of the Lord who is akinchan, who is repelled by the result of his actions and who is attached to the Srihariki charana rājam; others are not able to experience that indirect bliss. There is no one dearer to Lord Purushottam than his devotee. Neither Shiva, nor Brahma, nor Lakshmi, nor Rohini Nandan Balaram-ji are dearer to him than a devotee. Devotees have bound their minds, so Lord Krishna, the Chudamani of all people, always follows the devotees. Following his devotees, Lord Krishna expresses his interest and affection for them and purifies the entire world. That is why Lord Mukunda grants salvation to those who perform extreme bhajans, but never the best of bhakti yoga. 33-39 | (Vishwajitkhand chapters 11 to 15)
Srinardji says - Rajan! Hearing this sermon, Yadavendra Pradyumna saluted Sri Bhargava Kulbhushan Parashurama and thence proceeded eastwards towards the Gangasagara confluence. 40.
Thus was completed the fourteenth chapter in the Narada Bahulashva-Samvada under the Vishwajit Khandaka in the Srigarghasamhita, titled "Victory over the Dravidian Country." 14.
