English translation

Yadava conquest of Magadha country and defeat of Magadhara king Jarasandha.

Says Srinardji - Rajan. Pradyumna then marched with his army immediately to Girivraj to conquer Magadha, flying a flag adorned with the sign of Matsya. Magadharaja Jarasandha was enraged to hear that Srihari's son Pradyumna had come, especially for Digvijaya. 1-2.

Jarasandha said, "All Yadavs are very insignificant and cowards who fear war. They are the ones who have come out to conquer the earth today. It turns out that his intellect has been killed. Madhava, the father of this evil spirit Pradyumna, has himself, out of fear of me, left all his Mathura and hid in the refuge of the sea. On Pravarshana Giri, I had forcefully consumed Balarama and Krishna, but they fled deceitfully and went to live in Dwarakam. Now I will go up to Kushalasthali myself and bind the two brothers together with Ugrasena. I will make this earth, surrounded by the sea, void of the Yadavas. 3 - 6. (Vishwajitkhand chapter 16 to 20)

Naradji says - Rajan. With this, the mighty king Jarasandha marched out of the town of Girivraj with an army of twenty-three Akshauhins. Magadhar had a large army of elephants with him. The faces of those elephants were painted with cow urine, vermilion, and musk. A stream of wine flowed from their cisterns. The elephants, being of the Airavata clan, were adorned with four tusks and used to pluck and throw away most of the trees with their spikes. The Gajrajas adorned Magadha as the Meghas adorned Lord Indra. The king! Countless chariots, shaped like the planes of the gods, accompanied him, with flags flying above them, storks perched on them, chandeliers swaying, and chirping wheels emitting thunderous sounds. The drunken horses, who were as swift as the wind and of strange colours, were adorned with golden stripes and garlands. They were adorned with chaonars (kalangis) on the top of their spires and reeds. Wearing armour and holding shields, swords and bows, the Veerajans were as graceful as the Vidyadharas. With all of them, Mahabali Magadharaja went out to war. Directions were being called out by the trumpets of the bow and arrows. The earth began to shake, and the dust from the soldiers covered the sky. Maithil! The army was as fierce as the raging Dead Sea. All the Yadavas were amazed to see him. 7-14 |

Seeing the sea of Magadha's army, Lord Pradyumna blew a clockwise conch shell and with it, as if giving shelter to his warriors, said - 'Do not be afraid. 'After this, Mahabahu Samba took ten Aksauhini armies in front of Pradyumna and started fighting with Magadharaja. In that battlefield, elephants clashed with elephants and chariots. Maithileshwar! The horses clashed with horses and on foot. The Magadhas and the Yadavas engaged in a marvelous, thrilling, and fierce war, as did the gods and the demons. Some equestrian warriors wielded spears and shot dead the Gajarohis and even the Mahavats, who sat on the elephants' mounds. Some warriors wielded lightning powers similar to lightning to forcefully throw them at the enemy. Those powers would also scatter armored enemies into the earth. Many heroes roared in the battlefield, picking up and throwing the wheels of the chariots and scattering the groups of soldiers in the same manner as the sun destroys the fog. Some people fought with bhandipalas, muggers, axes, swords, daggers, daggers, daggers, and sharp knives (swords). The heads of the heroes, elephants, and horses were falling to the earth, cut off with tongs, maces, and arrows. There seemed to be great ferocity, running in battle with only torso and sword in hand, and leaping, crushing horses and men. The heroes were falling on top of the heroes. His arms had been amputated. Many horses fell on horses because their necks were cut with arrows. The caste women of Vidyadhara and Gandharva wanted to make the warriors who had attained heroism their husbands when they reached the sky in a divine form. For this they began to have a great quarrel with each other. O Lord! Many Kshatriyas who were pious and always showed grace in battle gave their lives in battle, but did not back down a single step. They penetrated the solar system, attaining the supreme position, and danced in the same manner as the infant chakras, as if on a sphere-shaped ground. 15-28 |

Thus, the Mahavira army of Samba routed the Magadha army. That army fled at their sight, just as the inauspicious is destroyed by devotion to Lord Krishna. Some had their armour cut off, some had their bows drawn; many soldiers were running back with swords and clubs thrown at them. Seeing his army fleeing, Magadhar came there bowing and bowing to everyone, saying, "Do not be afraid." Jarasandha inspired the advance of his army with the bow and arrow, just as a Mahavata would ambush an elephant. It was at this time that Samba also arrived there. He wounded Mahabali Magadharaja in the battlefield with ten arrows missed from the bow. Jambavathikumar Samba then shattered the tip of his bow with ten arrows, which sounded like a fierce struggle of the raging waves of the sea. Mahabali Jarasandha then took the second bow in his hand and cut the bow of Sambak with ten forward arrows. Jaraputra Magadhendra killed four horses, two flagpoles, three chariots, and one charioteer with four arrows. After the bow was cut off and the horses and charioteers killed, Mahabali Samba, who was chariotless, mounted another chariot and, having ritually repelled the fiery bow, cut Jarasandha's chariot in pieces with a hundred arrows. At that time, Jarasandha left the chariot and climbed the elephant with great speed. Magadhendra had the same beauty on that elephant as Indra, mounted on Airavata. 29-39 |

Jarasandha's heart was filled with a great deal of rage. He raised a caparisoned elephant on the sambar, whose limbs had strange lettering and were as fierce as those of Kaala, Antaka, and Yama. The Nagaraja picked up the Sambako with his chariot from his trunk and threw it nine yojanas away while shouting. Maithil! At that time, there was a great commotion in the Sambaki army. Then the donkeys from Pradyumna's side came swiftly to the face of his army in the same manner. It is as if the sun rises from the horizon, destroying the darkness. Vasudevananda of Jarasandha struck the elephant with a mace, as if Indra had struck a high mountain with a lightning bolt. Disturbed by their punching, the elephant fell to the ground. The king! He became the Grass of Death at the same time. That was a wonderful thing. Then Jarasandha got up, picked up the mace with great speed, and suddenly hit it on the mace. At that time, the mighty hero roared like a cube, but his strike did not deter the Gada from the battlefield. He immediately attacked Jarasandha with a mace weighing a lakh and roared like a lion. The king! Upset by his blow, the mighty Brihadrathkumar Jarasandha got up and grabbed the donkey with the donkey and threw it a hundred yojanas into the sky with great fury. Then Mahabali's donkey also picked up Jarasandha and spun it and threw it a thousand yojanas away in the sky. King Magadha fell from the sky on the Vindhya mountain. 40-50 | (Vishwajitkhand chapter 16 to 20)

Mahabali Jarasandha rose again and started a war with Gada. At the same time, the Samba arrived. They captured Magadheshwar Jarasandha and knocked him down to the earth in the same manner that a lion would overpower another lion. Then the king of Magadha struck Sambako with one punch and Gadako with the other and thundered loudly in the battlefield. Disturbed by his punching, both Gada and Samba fainted. At that time, there was an immediate great panic on the battlefield. Then, the Yadava king Pradyumna arrived with an Aksauhini army in a chariot with a high flag and gave shelter to all, saying, "Do not be afraid." Seeing them, Jarasandha grabbed a mace weighing a million and entered the Yadava army just as the forest was on fire. Rajendra! He killed chariots, elephants, and many Sindhi horses, including heroes, as if a great Gajaraja had uprooted many lotuses. The army that had escaped from Jarasandhi also returned in all directions. He surrounded the Yadava army and started shooting at them with sharp arrows. Yadavraj Pradyumra started fighting fearlessly in that battle. The chariots, horses, elephants, and footwear they killed were crushed to the point of a hundred yojanas. All of them were lost in the dark. At that time the cries of the gods and men began to ring together. The gods began to shower flowers on Baldevji. The Yadavas' own army immediately erupted into loud cheers. Thereafter, Pradyumna Adi, being calm, saluted Lord Kampala (Baldev). The king. Thus Bhaktavatsal Mahabali conquered Lord Baldev Magadharaja and went to Dwarka. Sahadeva, the wise son of Jarasandha, set out from Giridurg with gifts and appeared before Shambarari Pradyumna.
