The Anecdote of Jyotishmati

The sage Pravipaka said, "Then the kantivali of the millions of Sharadiya moons will arrive there on the great chariot of Nagalakshmi herself." Millions of sakhis were adorning her. He came and said to Swami Mahanta Ananta Bhagavan Sankarshana - God. I will walk the earth with you. The agony of your departure will leave me so distraught that I will not be able to keep my soul. Nagalakshmi's throat was thick with tension. It is the nature of Lord Anant, who is also the cause of the whole world, to alleviate the sufferings of the devotees and whose Sri Vigraha is the form of the great serpent like Airavata. Seeing this, his beloved said, "O Rambhoru! You do not have to grieve. Go to earth and merge with Revati's body. Then you will be at my service. Hearing this, Nagalakshmi said - 'Who is Revathi, why is she a daughter and where does she live - you tell me in detail. Hearing this, Lord Anant smiled and said to his beloved, 1 - 5.

Adi Adi is a matter of creation. I was born as Kashyapa's son from the womb of Kadru. By the command of Lord Krishna, I assumed the unbroken earth on one of my hands like a lotus, and from all the worlds, I went to the lower worlds and was vanquished. When I was thus there, a son of Chakshusha named Atibala Chakshusha became the omnipotent emperor of the monolithic earthly realm of Manu Saptadvipa, the great Mandaleshvara king rubbing his head on his lotus feet. The gods and goddesses Indradi also believed in his rule. They were positioned by crushing all the might and pride of the visually impaired enemy with fierce bows. The wise man had many sons with Sudyumna. Subsequently, Manu performed a yajna and a daughter named Jyotishmati was born from his yajna kunda. One day, a visionary Manu affectionately asked his maiden, "Tell me, what kind of groom do you want?" 'Then the virgin answered, "May those who are strongest be my lords. Hearing this, the king summoned Indra, believing him to be the most powerful. When Indra, the Vajradhari, appeared, the king respectfully seated him and said, "Tell me the truth, if anyone is more powerful than you." Otherwise, Smriti says, "Goddess Prithvi has said that there is no religion greater than truth; I can bear everything, but I cannot bear the burden of a false person." Indra said, "I am not a strong man. The wind god is stronger than I am. I work with the help of them. With that, Indra went away. Then the king called to Vayu and asked him, 'Tell me the truth, is there any one more powerful than you?' The wind said, 'The mountains are stronger than I am, because my speed cannot uproot them.' Saying this, the wind blew away. Then the king called to the mountains and said, 'Tell me the truth, who is stronger than you in the firmament? The mountains answered, 'The earth is stronger than we, because it holds us up.' 'The mountains said this and went away. Thou king called unto the earth, and said unto it, Tell me the truth, whether there be any mightier than thou. 6-14 | (Shribalbhadrakhand chapter 1 to 6)

When the world heard this, it said, 'A stronger God than I am, Sankarsha.' They are the eternal infinite, the ocean of infinite qualities. He is the Adi Deva, the form of Vasudeva, he has a thousand faces, his idol is as vast as Gajraj, he is a bright Prabhavala like Kailasa, his light is like crores of suns. They are supposed to crush the pride of millions of Kamadevas in beauty. He has eyes as beautiful as a lotus leaf. They are adorned with garlands of divine serene lotuses - karnikas, the youth of the Bhramaras keep humming to drink their parimalakas. The Siddhas, the Charanas, the Gandharvas, and the great Vidyadharas who are praised; the gods, the demons, the serpents, and the sages who are always worshipped and who are seated at the top; on one of whose heads the unbroken earth, adorned with mountains, rivers, seas, forests, and millions of creatures, is visible, and whose name in all three worlds - by chanting, even the slayer of the Trilokas attains Kaivalya-moksha - is such an influential, for all reasons, God of all, and the most powerful God is Sankarsha. They are located at the base of the lagoon. There is no one better than him. " 15-17 |

Thus said the great-grandfather, "Knowing my beauty and influence when the earth is gone, Jyotishmati took the command of her father and went to do penance on Mount Vindhyachal to receive me." He meditated there for a million years. She meditated in the midst of the Panchagni during the summer, endured the constant flow of water in the rain, and was neck-deep in the cold water during the winter. She would sleep on the ground below during her penance. 18-19 |

Thus the third chapter, 'Upakhyan of Jyotishmati', was completed in the dialogue of Sri Pradvipaka Muni and Duryodhana under the Sribalabhadra Khanda in the Srigarghasamhita. 3.
