Legend of Sage Rupa Gopis - The Arrival of Mangal-Gopaki Daughters of Bengal in the Vrajam of Nandaraja and Entry into the Rasamandala on the banks of the Yamuna
Shrinaradji says - Maithil! Now listen to the story of the sage Rupa Gopis. She is the taker of all sins, the Most Holy, and the giver of increased devotion to Krishna. In Bengal, there was a great sage Gopa known as Mangal, who was lakshmivan, endowed with scriptural knowledge and the lord of nine lakh cows. Mithileshwar! He had as many as five thousand wives. At some point, all his wealth was destroyed by Daivayoga. His cows were kidnapped by thieves. Some cows were forcibly taken over by the king of the land. Mangal-gop became very sad on being humbled in this way. In those days, the sages of Dandakaranya, who had received the feminine aspect from the boon of Sri Ramachandra Ji, became his daughters. Grief-stricken at the sight of the girl-group, Gop Mangal became even more sorrowful and began to be troubled by paranoia. This is what he said to himself: 1 - 6.
Mangal said - What should I do? Where shall I go? Who will take away my sorrow? At this moment, I have neither Lakshmi, nor Aishwarya, nor family, nor any strength. Hi there! How will these girls get married without money? Where there is doubt even in food, what hope of riches? There was a sense of humility. Girls also came to this house because of the coincidental justice. Therefore, I will offer these daughters to a rich and powerful king, only then will these daughters find happiness. 7-93 | (Madhurikand Chapter 1 to 5)
