English translation
Description of the fierce battle of Pradyumna and Shakuni
Bahulashva asked, "Munishreshtha! What did the great demon Shakuni do next, knowing that brothers like Harishmashnu had been killed? . 1.
Narada said, "O king! Shakuni faints in anger when Harish is killed in tears. Deep in grief over the death of his brothers, he addressed the demons on the battlefield. 2.
Jarasandha, Shalva, the wise Dantavakra, and Sisupala are my friends. With these friends and your people, I will go to conquer the gods by summoning mighty demons from the world, and Banasura will be with us in that battle. By conquering the evil spirits of Pradyumna and the other Yadavas, and by binding the gods, including the women, I will cast them into the mouths of the caves of Mount Meru. I will surely kill the cow, the Brahmin, the deity, the sadhu, the Veda, the ascetic, the yajna, the shraddha, the tithikus, and even the spirits who consume the various pilgrimages. Then I will walk in peace. Blessed was King Kansa, the mighty Mahabali, who conquered the gods. He was my friend and best friend. Sadly, it does not exist on this surface today. 12-16 |
Naradji says - Rajan! Having said this, the demon king Mahabali suddenly appeared before Pradyumna in the battle of Daitya Shakuni. With a huge bow, as strong as iron and as heavy as a million, he pierced its face. That bow of his was made of Mayasuraka. The sound of the bow made the giants deaf, many mountains collapsed, and the sea was shaken from its limit. O Lord! The whole universe buzzed and the earth began to shake. The warriors fell on top of the warriors, amazed by the harsh wording of his message. The elephants began to flee the battlefield, and the horses to the battlefield. 17-21 |
Thus, all the people suddenly ran away in panic. Then Gad and Adi, men of great strength and valor, came there, sitting on a chariot and bowing. Shakuni shot ten arrows at Arjuna in the battlefield. This caused Arjuna, the Gandivadhari with the chariot, to fall four kos away. Randurmad Shakuni shot twenty arrows at the top of the mace. The king! He threw the donkey into the air with the chariot and began to roar loudly. The king! The hero shot forty arrows at Aniruddha, the best of the archers along with the chariot, and raised the sky with his lion's roar. Aniruddha's chariot with its horses fell sixteen kos away. Woe to you! Shakuni shot a hundred arrows at Samba in the battlefield. The king! Samba also fell with the chariot into the sky on the way thirty-two yojanas away from the battlefield. 22-27 | (Vishwajitkhand Chapter 36 to 40)
Shakuni was filled with fury when he saw Pradyumna appear next and suddenly wounded them with arrows in the battlefield. The king! Pradyumna's chariot, circling for two hours, landed on the earth a hundred kos away, as if someone had thrown a kamandalu. All the Yadavas were amazed at the strength of the Shakunika. Just as the elephants hit the mountain on the head, all the Yadavas started wounding the demon with various weapons. Gada, Arjuna, Aniruddha, and Jambavatikumar Samba returned to the battlefield, bowing their bows. The king! Mahabahu then reached the battlefield, riding a chariot as fast as Pradyumna Vayu, bowing his bow. The ominous bow's antiperspirant sound was like the sound of the seas crashing during the Holocaust. Srikrishna Kumar shot ten arrows and cut it down. Then with a thousand arrows he shot down to the earth a thousand of his horses, his chariot with a hundred arrows, and his charioteers with twenty arrows. Then he picked up the chariot, mounted another horse in it, and seated another charioteer, and the daitya king re-embarked on the chariot. The king. He then charged back at the staff, which had tremendous power. Then he drew a hundred arrows from the arrow lying on his back, placed them on the bow, and pulled the arrow, and said to Pradyumna. 28-37 |
Shakuni said, "You are my main enemy and drunkard warrior among all the people, so I will kill you first." Then I will annihilate all the armies of the Yadavas who are of sound strength. 38.
Pradyumna said, "Asura! The age of the beings is always destroyed or passed by the force of time. She keeps coming and going like a shadow. Just as the bundle of clouds comes and goes through the air force in the sky, so does the happiness and sorrow come and go through Kalki's inspiration. As the farmer irrigates the sown crop and when it is ripe, he himself chops it from all sides with a smile, nurtures his own class of bodybuilders with his qualities, and then destroys them when the time comes. The living entity is so captivated by ego that it believes that 'I will do this, I do this; this is mine and that is yours; I am happy, sad and these are my sundas' and so on. 39-41 |
Shakuni said, "O Lord! Blessed are you, who through your speech imitate the sages and sages. It is difficult for them to renounce what is in the nature of beings separately according to the three gunas. 42. (Vishwajitkhand Chapter 36 to 40)
Naradji says - Maithilendra! In this way, Pradyumna and Shakuni fought like Indra and Vritrasura while talking to each other on the battlefield. The remnants of the ominous bow shone as brightly as the rays of the sun, but Srikrishna Kumar cut them all with a single arrow, just as a man breaks old friendships with a single stroke. Then Shakuni, a fierce warrior, struck Pradyumna on the head with a colossal mace weighing a hundred thousand pieces. Directly, Lord Pradyumna cut his donkey into a hundred pieces with his Vajra-like donkey - the same way that someone can smash a glass pot with a stick. The demon, then filled with fury, took a gleaming trident in his hands and struck Pradyumna on the head with it, roaring loudly. Srikrishnakumar Pradyumna also killed the trident and cut the demon's trident into a hundred pieces. Rukmininandan then took a sharp spear and drove it over Shakuni. 43-48 |
The spear pierced his chest. This made him feel a bit nervous, but he still beat Pradyumra to death in the battlefield. Then the mighty Rukmini-kumara took the yamandanda and tore the daitya's marvellous circumference with it. Not only that, but the fast-moving Yamadanda suddenly knocked down his horses, the Sarathikas, and even the divine chariot. Nareshwar. When Sarathi died and the chariot and the circumambulation, including the horse, were torn to pieces, the great warrior took up the sword in anger. Maithil! Just as Garuda broke a serpent into two pieces, Mahavira Pradyumna broke its sword into two pieces with a yamadanda. Srikrishnakumar then struck the demon's shoulder with the same spear. Shakuniko had an immediate seizure from her trauma. Then Pradyumna, filled with anger, immediately entered the demon army. Just as the wildfire burns down the forest, they begin to crush the great heroes of that army. Madhava Pradyumna killed the elephants, horses, chariots, and the demons like Yamaraja through that yamadanda. The feet, mouth, limbs, and arms of the demons were pierced. All those demons and demons went to the cheek of time. When Bhima saw the mighty Pradyumna taking the form of Yamaraja, many demons left their places on the battlefield and fled in ten directions. 49-58 |
Thus was completed the thirty-eighth chapter in the Narada Bahulashva-Samvad under the Vishwajit Khanda in the Srigargha Samhita, titled 'Narrative of the War of Shakuni and Pradyumna'. 38.
