Baldevji's marriage with Revati
Naradji says - Rajan! In this way I have made known to you the reason for God's dwelling in Dwarakama. Now I will tell you all the stories of the marriages of the relatives of God. Mithileshwar! Listen first to the account of Baldev's marriage, which is the best instrument for forgiving sins and prolonging life. 1-2.
In the solar dynasty, the great king Anarta was born, after whom the land of Anarta was settled on the banks of the mighty roaring sea. King Anarta had a son named Ravata, who was endowed with the traits of Gunonki Khan and Chakravarti Raja. He built Kushasthilpuri and ruled from there. Raivata had a hundred sons and a daughter named Revati. She wished to have the best Chiranjeevi and beautiful groom. One day, mounted on a chariot adorned with golden jewels and carrying his daughter on it, King Ravata began to circumnavigate the globe. (The purpose of this trip was to find a suitable bride for the daughter.) ) Eventually, the king, out of curiosity for his daughter, made his debut in the yogic celestial realm of Brahmaloka, where he bowed his head at Brahma's feet. At that time, an apsara called Purvachitti was being sung in Brahma's court, so he sat in silence for a moment. Subsequently, Brahma realized that he had been wronged and communicated his intentions to him. 3 - 8. (Dwarkand Chapter 1 to 5)
The Ravata said, "O Lord! You are the Supreme Puranic Person. It is from you that the sprout of this cosmic tree is born. You are the Absolute Supreme Personality of Godhead and perpetually resides in your supreme abode, creating, nurturing, and destroying this world. Oh God! The Vedas are your mouths, Dharma is the heart, Adharma is the back, Manu is the intellect, the gods are the limbs, the Asuras are the legs, and the whole world is your body. You see the whole universe directly like an amla in your hand, and just as the charioteer leads the chariot on the desired path, you are capable of leading the worldly chariot to the three gunas or threefold themes. You are the only one unique, and just as the spider produces a web from its own form and then consumes it, so you are weaving a web of jaguarupi, and when the time comes, it will then merge with itself. The abode of Mahendra - the heavenly realm is under your control; then may the sovereign kingdom and yogasiddhi be under your control, what is there to say? You are always situated in the Paramestcha Pada - Brahmadham. Salutations to such an eternally virtuous Ape Bhuma (the great and omnipresent) man. Thank you! You are Swayambhu (self-manifested), the Pitamaha (father of the three worlds). Because of this influence, you are called the "Sun God." You are omniscient, so soon tell me some divine, omnipotent and eternal boon for this daughter of mine. 9-13 |
Naradji says - Maithil! Hearing this, the omniscient Lord Swayambhu Brahma smiled and said to King Raivata. 14.
Sri Brahma said, "Rajan! By this point, the Mahabali period on Earth had passed very quickly. Twenty-seven Chaturyugis have been completed. Your sons and grandsons and their siblings are no more in the mortal world. Even the grandchildren of their sons no longer listen to their grandchildren. So Raja! Go quickly and dedicate this kanyaratna to the best Nararatna Sanatan Purusha Baldevji. Balarama, the Supreme Lord, the Lord of the Realms, and Keshava have descended to assume the role. Despite being the rulers of innumerable universes, they both have been living with the Yaduvanshis of Dwarakama as Bhaktavatsala Hari Vasudevananda. 15-19 | (Dwarkand Chapter 1 to 5)
Naradji says - Rajan! Hearing this, Nripat Shrestha saluted Raivat Brahma and came back to Dwarkapuri, prosperous. By marrying the bride to Baldevji, he provided a divine chariot made by Vishwakarma for dowry, which was an elaborate plan. There were a thousand horses in the chariots. Mithileshwar! Giving divine clothes and jewels given to Brahma, King Ravata went to perform penance at the auspicious Badarikashramatirtha. At that time, there was a great celebration in the houses of Yadupuri. Subsequently, Lord Sankarshana began to have a great courtship with Queen Revati. A person who listens to this story of Baldevji's marriage will be free from all sins and will attain supreme perfection. 20-24 |
Thus was completed the third chapter called 'Baldev Vivahotsava' in the Narada Bahulashka Samvad under Dwarka Khanda in the Srigarghasamhita. 3.
