English translation

The capture of Ashvaka by the king of Champavatipuri; the fierce battle of Hemangada's soldiers with the Yadavas; the coming into their refuge of the defeated king by the valor of Aniruddha and Srikrishna's sons.

Srigarji says - Rajan! After escaping from there, the horse went to Champawatipuri under Ushinar district, observing all the countries. Maintained by King Hemangada, it was surrounded by the massive Puri Fort. People of all four varnas lived within it. She was surrounded by the towering palaces of Puri. There, the virtuous king Hemangada, surrounded by great knights, ruled with his son Hanskete. O Lord! They defied the Yadavas and caught Mahatma Aniruddha's horse by accident. Honourable! King Hemang tied a horse with a gold chain, gave cupboards and arghalas to all the gates of the city, and decided to wage war and set up two lakh shatnis (cannons) on the walls of the fort to destroy the Yadavas. Aniruddha then arrived with an army on horseback. They set up camp in the groves of Champavati. Not seeing the horse there, Pradyumna Kumar asked Srikrishna Chandra's friend. 1 - 8.

Thus said Aniruddha to Uddhav: "Minister! Whose city is this? Who has taken away my horse? Excellency! You know it; think about it. 9.

Hearing this question from him, Uddhav, the wisest of men, understood the story of the enemy and said this. 10 | (Ashwamedh Khand Chapter 16 to 20)

Hearing this from Uddhavji, Aniruddha spoke in anger. 14.

Aniruddha said, "Uddhavji, the best of good men! I will strike down the majority of these enemies engaged in battle in half an hour with iron-clad arrows while they are in the fort. 15.

Yadukulatilaka Aniruddha, thus filled with fury on hearing the aforesaid words of Uddhavji, went quickly to destroy that Puri and started raining arrows in droves. Arrows from the Andhakavamsi heroes created a ruckus in that Puri. All the enemies, including the heroic Hansadhvaja, became suspicious. Then, at the king's behest, the heroes bravely climbed the fort's walls and saw the Yadava soldiers frozen outside. They were all terrified when they saw the best warriors of the Yadu clan, armed with armor and other things. The Yadava warriors were showering arms and ammunition. Hemangada's soldiers started throwing fire at him with sticks from all sides. They came to the conclusion that we would put all enemies to death, never return the horse. 16-20 |

At that time, Aniruddha's army was in great disarray. All the men of Vrishnivamsa were amazed at the heroism of the Satanites. All of his limbs were torn apart. Many of the warriors ran away from the battle. The king! Some soldiers were mute and many lost their lives. Some were burned in battle and some were incinerated. Many people had their arms and legs amputated. Some of the people fell down unarmed. Many of the shells were set on fire. Many shouted hymns, and many warriors chanted the names of Balarama and Krishna. In that battlefield, hundreds of elephants were killed, their limbs damaged, and many fell to their deaths. While jumping and running in the battle, the horses died because their bodies were torn apart. Many of the chariots were crushed to pieces. The entire Yadava army came under fire and started looking terrible. 21-26 |

Seeing all this, Aniruddha thought for a moment, remembering Sangram - Srihari in the land. Then by the grace of Krishna, Ushavallabha Aniruddha realized the wisdom of duty. He took the rainbow, drew the arrow from the arrow, and placed it on the bow, and inserted the rainbow into it. The clouds fell on the Yadava army as soon as the arrow was released. O Lord! Those clouds, protecting the Yadava soldiers, showered torrential rain and extinguished the fire that had spread all around. Then the parts of the soldiers with testicles became cold. They were relieved of their fear of fire and rose again to battle, praising Aniruddha. Addressing them all, Aniruddha said, "I will enter Champawatipuri alone on a winged horse to conquer the king of enemies." 27-32 |

Srigarji says - Rajan! On hearing Aniruddha's words, all the eighteen nobles, including Krishnakumar Samba, spoke to him. 33. (Ashwamedh Khand Chapter 16 to 20)

The sons of Hariputra said, "The king. Do not go into the city of your enemies. We will all go there to conquer that tyrant king. 34.

Having said this, in a fit of rage, all those brave Hariputra suddenly rode on winged horses and reached Champawatipuri, crossing the ramparts of the fort. They were all archers, armormen, and skilled in warfare. As soon as they left, they began to kill their enemies with serpentine arrows. 35-36 |

Nareshwar. Those enemies also arrived enraged at the king's command, suddenly carrying bows for battle. They numbered about ten million people. Samba, Madhu, Brihadvahu, Chitrabhanu, Vrik Arun, Sangramjit, Sumitra, Deeptiman, Bhanu, Vedabahu, Pushkar, Shrutadeva, Sunandana, Virupa, Chitrabahu, Nyagrodha, and Kavi - all sons of Krishna - began to strike with arrows when they saw the majority of the heroes, filled with fury and carrying weapons. Rajendra! Then a terrible river appeared in that city, out of the blood of the heroes, which came out of the city gate. The king! Aniruddha was alarmed when he saw the mighty river flowing by. His mouth dried up, and he cried out in fury - 'Ah! Did all my father's brothers die because of which this mighty river is coming here to take us all away? I will no doubt suck up this river by my own advances. I will destroy this city with my thunderbolt. 37-44 |

Subsequently, at the behest of Aniruddha, inspired by the Mahavats, millions of black elephants, like the giant Madonmatta and Kajjalgiri, started uprooting small trees and shrubs with their tusks and throwing them into the city. They ascended over the city, shaking the earth with the stroke of their feet. O Lord! Arriving there, all the Gajarajas, enraged by their Kumbh sites, hurriedly demolished the Puri. All the windows came crashing down and falling apart. The strong chains of the gates were torn down. The elephants tore down the stone walls of the fort of Puri. Oh dear Lord! The Gajarajas of Sriharika reached Puri and started demolishing the enemy houses by demolishing the Kiwaras, Argala and the fort. At that time there was a great commotion in Champavati. All the people, including the king, were terrified and astonished. Then the defeated king Hemangad came before the Hariputras with both his hands tied with a garland of flowers, saying 'Pahimam'. Seeing the king's presence, the scribe Samban in the battlefield stopped the brothers and the Mahavats, who were killing the poor. They stopped everyone and spoke to the king in this way. 45-52 |

Samba said, "O king! Come on, have a good one. Draw near to Aniruddha with my horse, and the best result will be for you. 533.

When Sambaki heard this, the king took the sacrificial horse and set out from Puri with the Hariputras. The king. The king, accompanied by his son, approached Aniruddha and offered the horse and ten million gold coins along with it. Rajendra! Thereafter, the moralist Dinavatsala Aniruddha, bound with a garland of flowers, opened both his hands and said: "Nripa Śreshtha! Follow me and protect this horse from the enemy kings for the happiness of Lord Krishna. " 54-57 | (Ashwamedh Khand Chapter 16 to 20)

Hearing of Aniruddha, King Hemangada, the best of the wise, thought of happily accompanying his son by granting him the kingdom. 58.

Thus was completed the sixteenth chapter called 'Champavati-Vijaya Varnana' in the Ashvamedha Khanda under the Srigarghasamhita. 16.
