The fierce battles of Utravakesh and Aniruddhaka and Nad and Gadaka; the slaying of Utravakesh and Nadaka
Shri Gargji says - Maharaj! Then Utthakesha got up from his stupor and climbed onto another chariot, and as soon as he came to fight before Aniruddha, he tore his chariot into pieces with his sharp arrows. O Lord! Seeing the chariot broken, he again took refuge in another chariot. But Pradyumna Kumar immediately shot an arrow in the battlefield and also broke his chariot. Thus nine chariots of Utravakesha were broken by Aniruddha in the battlefield. 1-3.
The demon then angrily struck Aniruddha in the battlefield with swift force. Seeing that power coming over him, Veer Aniruddha cut it into ten pieces with many sticks. Then, mounted on a golden chariot on the battlefield, Utravakesh came with great speed to face Aniruddha. Upon arrival, full of excitement, he wounded Aniruddha with five arrows. Aniruddha was in great pain from the blow of those arrows. Aniruddha, then enraged, raised his bow and suddenly shot ten arrows with strange petals into the chest of his forehead, showing quickness of hand. The fiercest arrows drank his blood, and drank it, and fell to the earth as the ancestors of those who bear false witness fall into hell. 4 - 8.
Then, angered again, Uparakesh struck Aniruddha on the head with ten arrows, saying, "Stand up, stand up." Rajendra! The ten arrows landed on Aniruddha's turban and began to resemble the ten branches of a tree. Oh dear Lord! Just as an elephant does not suffer if struck with a flute, Rukmavati Kumar Aniruddha did not suffer from the blow of those arrows on the battlefield. Madhava Aniruddha, full of fury, pulled out a hundred arrows with strange wings and golden wings on his bow. The king! The arrows pierced all the limbs of the upper hair and fell down quickly, blood-stained; in the same way, humans devoid of devotion to Lord Krishna achieve degradation. Injuries from those arrows sent shivers down the battlefield. The Supreme Being At that time, there was a commotion in the demon army. The sound of 'Jai Ho, Jai Ho' reverberated through the Yadava army, and the deities showered flowers on Aniruddha. Yadvaraj! From that battlefield, Uparakesha took the divine body and ascended on an aeroplane to heaven, the abode of the virtuous. 9-16 | (Ashwamedh Khand Chapter 26 to 30)
The river was filled with grief when the brother was killed. The demon, seated on an elephant, shot multiple arrows at the donkey seated on Gajraj. The great archer Gadena saw the arrows come upon him and cut them all with a single arrow at the sight of Aniruddha. Deep in his brother's grief, Nodan, in a fit of rage, shot his arrows in the battle, rendering Rohinandan the donkey elephantless and killing his elephant. The elephant's limbs were severed by the impact of hundreds of arrows, so he attained Panchatva, and the donkey fell to the ground with him. That miraculous event happened. The donkeys then burst out in fury and took the mace in the battlefield and proceeded to kill the enemy in the same manner as a lion attacks another lion in the forest. 17-21 |
The king. Upon arrival, the river elephant wrapped the donkey in its trunk and threw it a hundred yojanas high into the sky. When the donkey fell from the sky, he got up, grabbed the trunk of the elephant, turned it, and hit it on the ground. The elephant died instantly on the battlefield. Seeing this, the great Asura river was amazed. He picked up a heavy mace in praise of the mace and soon challenged the mace-wielding heroic mace to battle. Prajanatha! Similarly, Gadane also called for a war with the Daitya Nadaka. Nadne replied to Gad - 'Yadav! You are a human being. Therefore I am ashamed to wage war with you. How are you going to fight me? You have to hit me first. You will not be able to survive my beating behind your back. " 22-26 |
Hearing this, Gadane spoke to him in the same manner as Devaraja Indra had spoken to Vritrasura. 27.
The donkey said, "Demons! Moles that make big things up are not able to do anything. Those who are knights do not boast in the battlefield; they display their valor. 28.
Rajendra! Hearing this, Nadir became furious. He roared and threw his heavy and colossal mace on Gadki's chest. Even after suffering a mace injury, the heroic donkeys did not get distracted on the battlefield in the same way that drunken elephants do not care if a child is killed by a flower. The demon had been put to shame. Looking at him, Veerasiromani Gadane said, "Parantapa. If you are brave, then bear a blow from me too. " 29-31 |
- Having said that, the donkey hit him hard on the forehead. The priest, Ndane, was also angry and hit the donkey on the shoulder with a mace. They were both skilled in heroic mace fighting and thus engaged in mace fighting, intending to kill each other while inflicting heavy blows. The two were distraught by each other's trauma, filled with anger, and eager to attempt victory. But none of them were defeated or discouraged there. Injuries to the shoulder, shoulder, head, thorax, and entire limbs left him bleeding profusely and looking like two blossoming palms. The two of them had a great battle going on in the battlefield with maces. Both of their maces broke into pieces, releasing sparks of fire. Then a fierce duel broke out between the two - Gad Yadava and Nad Daitya. Filled with fury at the time, Balaram's younger brother Gadne held the river in his arms and struck it on the earth in the same manner as Singhraj knocked down a buffalo. The demon then punched the donkey in the chest. The clenched hands also inflicted a punched wound on his head. With punches, knees, legs, punches, and arms, they were both hitting each other, and both were furiously suppressing their paranoia. Then in the battlefield, the demon got angry and forcefully grabbed one of the donkey's legs and swung them around and hit them to the ground. At the same time, the fiery donkey also got up, grabbed one of the enemy's legs, turned it, and knocked it over the elephant's back. 32-41 |
The king. The demon rose again, caught Rohini Kumar, and forcefully threw him a hundred yojanas into the sky. Even when he fell from there, the donkey with the same limb as Vajra was not hurt: it was only a little distraction. Then they also lifted the demon up a thousand yojanas. Even after falling from that height, the demon rose again and started fighting. Gada Nadko and Nadi Gadko continued to inflict injuries through mutual blows. Nripesvara. A fierce battle ensued between the two of them. The two began to have lathis, punches, kesha-keshi (jhota-jhoti), nakha-nakhi (bakota-bakoti) and toothed teeth. Thus, a fierce battle ensued. While fighting in this way, the two warriors were repeatedly beaten. The two became entangled in each other's desire to kill each other in such a way that the legs were crushed, the chest was crushed, the hands were crushed, and the mouth was covered. Both of them fell and were crushed by the force of the attack. O Lord! Seeing such a battle between the two of them, the demon and the Yadava began to speak - "Gad is blessed, Nad is blessed." 42-49 | (Ashwamedh Khand Chapter 26 to 30)
Aniruddha was filled with grief on seeing the donkey fall. They tried to bring the donkey to his senses by sprinkling water and stirring the dish. Rajendra stood up in an instant and said, 'Where the river is, where the river is.' Did he not flee from the battle for fear of me? 'The people saw that the demon had died there in obscurity. Then the Yadavas and the Devas began to shout. 50-52 |
