English translation

Lord Krishna's protection of Mount Govardhan from the fierce torrential rains wrathfully caused by Indra by lifting it.

Srinardji says - Rajan! Subsequently, on hearing the news of the annihilation of his yajna and the completion of the Govardhan-pujanotsava from my mouth, Devaraja Indra became very angry. He summoned the cloud god Sanvartaka, whose bond is only opened during the holocaust, to destroy Vraja immediately. The oddly colored clouds roared with indignation as soon as they received the command. Some of them were black, some were yellow, and some were green. Some were as red as insects called Indragop (Veerabhuti). Some were as white as a kapoor, and some were as blue as a blue lotus. In this way, clouds of various colors began to pour down torrents as thick as an elephant's. Some frantic clouds began to drop currents as thick as the trunk of an elephant. Millions of boulders started falling there with great speed like a mountain peak. At the same time, a severe storm started, uprooting trees and houses. Maithilendra! The dreadful sound of catastrophic clouds and thunderstorms swept over Brajbhumi. From that fierce sound, the universe, including the seven worlds and the underworld, reverberated, the giants were distracted, and the stars began to fall from the sky to the ground. Now the chief Gopa, fearing for his life, came forward with his children and family to the Nanda temple. Balarama and all the frightened Vrajas went to the refuge of Lord Sreenandanandana and bowed down to him. 1-10 | (Girirajkhand Chapter 1 to 5)

Gopa said, "Mahabahu Rama! Rama! Oh! And Lord Krishna! Krishna! Oh! Protect your people from this great suffering inflicted by Indra. Today, Indra's anger is very high because we left Indra's sacrifice and celebrated Govardhan Puja at your behest. Now tell me quickly, what should we do? . 11-12 |

Srinardji says - Rajan! God spoke without hesitation, watching Gokul with his gopis and goons in distress, and seeing the suffering of the cow community, including the calves. 13.

The Lord said, "Do not be afraid. Walk along the banks of the Giriraj with all the parikars. Only those who have accepted your worship will protect you. 14.

Srinardji says - Rajan! Having said this, Srihari went to Govardhan with his relatives and uprooted the mountain and sported it with one hand. Just as a child picks up cow dung hides without labor; or as an elephant spontaneously uproots a lotus with its trunk; similarly, the benevolent and compassionate Lord Srivrajarajanandan adorned himself with Govardhan Parvat. 15-16 |

Then they said to the Gopas, "Maiya! O Baba! Vraja - Vallabheshwaragana! May all of you enter the pit of Giriraj with all the materials, all the wealth, and the cows. This is the place where Indra has no fear. " 17.

Hearing this promise of Sriharika, they, along with Godhan, Kutumb, and all other tools, went down to the pit of Govardhan mountain. O Lord! With Krishna's approval, Balramji and all his companions also used their sticks to stop the mountain. Seeing the stream of water coming down the mountain, the Lord gave orders for its removal by remembering the Sudarshan Chakra and the rest of the mind. May Mithileshwara be situated on the top of that mountain, the radiant Sudarshana Chakra like the suns began to drink the falling water currents - just as Agastya Muni had drunk the sea. At the bottom of the mountain, the Sheshnagne is spherical in circumference, blocking the currents as the shoreline blocks the sea. Govardhanadhari Srihari stood steadfastly for a week and sat staring at Sri Krishna Chandra like all the Gopa disciples. Devaraja Indra, then filled with fury, came to Vrajamandala, riding an elephant, armed with his army. He attempted to operate his Vajra, intending to destroy Nandavraja from a distance. But Madhava stumped his arm with a Vajra. Then Indra was terrified and, just as the elephant fled after being hurt by the lion, so he fled suddenly with the Sanvartakas and the Devas. O Lord! At the same time, it was sunrise. The clouds were scattered all over the place. The wind speed stopped and very little water was left in the rivers. Punk did not even have a name on Earth. The sky turned out to be clear. The grasshoppers and the birds were happy all around. Then, at the command of the Lord, all the Gopas took their oxen and went out slowly from the crater of the mountain. 18 - 29. (Girirajkhand Chapter 1 to 5)

Then Govardhanadhari said to his companions, "Go forth, you also. Then they said, 'No, we are blocking the mountain by our own force; get out.' "Seeing all of them talking like this, Mahamana Govardhanadhari Srihari put half the weight of the mountain on them. The poor and weak boy fell, crushed by the weight. Then, after lifting them all, Krishna placed the mountain in front of them as before in a playful manner. O Lord! At that time, the chief gopis and chief gopas worshipped Nandanandana with perfume and incense, and offered him the boon of curd and milk, and everyone, knowing him as the Supreme Being, bowed at his feet. The king! Elderly gopas like Nanda, Yashoda, Rohini, Balarama, and Sannanda donated money to Lord Krishna by applying his heart and blessed him with mercy. After this, after praising him profusely, all the Vrajavas began to sing, play, and dance near Nandanandana with great success and returned to their homes with the Sriharikas. At the same time, the deities filled with joy started showering beautiful flowers of Nandan-Van and the community of chief Gandharvas and Siddhas standing in the sky started singing the praises of Govardhandhari. 30-37 |
