English translation

Akrur's visit to Nandagrama, his meeting with Balarama-Krishna on the way and his entry into the Nanda-Bhavan with him; his conversation with Krishna and his determination to go to Mathura; getting agitated by the fear of separation of the gopis when the discussion of Mathura-Yatra spread everywhere.

Srinaradji says - Maithilendra! Akrurji rode on a chariot and went to Nandgaon with great pleasure to do the work of King Kansa. He had great devotion to the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Shri Krishna. The Most Wise Man, on his way to Akrur, began to think in this way with his intellect. 1-2.

Akrur said - What virtue have I done in Bharatvarsha, what charity have I selflessly given, what excellent sacrifice, pilgrimage or auspicious service to the Brahmins, so that today I will have darshan of Lord Parameshwara Sriharika? What excellent penance I did in a previous life and when did I consume a saintly person with devotion, will give me a rare glimpse of Lord Krishna in front of me today. Lord Sureshwara Krishna, whose eyes are visible, has a successful birth on the ground floor. Today, I will be omnipotent by having a rare darshan of that God. 3 - 5.

Thus, says Naradji, while contemplating Krishna and seeing the supreme omen, Gandini-Nandana reached Nandagokul in the evening on a chariot. The symbols of Sri Krishna Charanarvindus with Yavas and Ankush, etc., and their attractive dust particles made them appear on the earth. Overwhelmed by the excitement of his darshan and the joy of devotion, Akrurji jumped out of the chariot and began to shed tears as he rolled through the dust particles. Mithileshwar! For those in whose heart the devotion to Lord Krishna manifests, all the pleasures of the world up to Brahmaloka become as insignificant as theirs. 6-9 | (Mathurukhand Chapter 1 to 5)

Akrur then set out on a chariot and reached Nandgaon in an instant. He reached the gathas and saw that Shri Krishna was coming there with Balramji. Both of them had eyes similar to that of the ancient Puranic god Prafulla lotus. Along the way, Balarama and Krishna appeared as if the two mountains of Indranil and Hirakamanike had come into contact with each other. They both had crowns similar to those of a child, and their garments resembled electricity. Their wings were dark like the clouds of the rainy season and dark like the clouds of autumn. On seeing them both, Akrur immediately got down from the chariot and fell at the feet of both of them, filled with devotion. His face was wide with tears streaming down his cheeks and his body was awestruck. Seeing them, Parameshwara Srihari picked them up with both hands and they began to pour tears on the devotee with their hearts filled with Madhava's mercy. Thus Srihari, along with Balarama, met him and soon brought him home, where he gave him the best seat. At the hospitality, a cow was given and served a hearty meal. Nanda put Akrur at his heart with both hands and asked, "Ah! How are you living in the Kingdom of Kansake? How can the shameless one who killed the babies with his sister's little one be kind to other people? When Nandaji went home, Srihari asked him all the skills of his parents. Similarly, he inquired about all the contrary wisdom of Kansaki by asking the news of his relatives, the Yadavas. 10-16 | (Mathurukund Chapter 1 to 5)

Akkur said, "O God! The next day, Bhojaraja Kansa was about to take the sword and kill Vasudeva; but Narada stopped him. All the Yadav-Bandhu-Bandhavs are frightened and sorrowful. Oh dear! Many Kansaks have moved with their families to other countries out of fear. He is still in business today to kill the Yadavas and conquer the gods. Kansa, the mighty demon king on this earth, wants to do something else too. Therefore both of you must go there to do the inexhaustible good of the world. Without you two lords, no work of good men can be accomplished. 17-20 |

Naradji says - Rajan! Hearing Akrurji's words, Lord Krishna, along with Balarama, took the advice of Nandaraja and told the worker gopas as follows. 21.

The Lord said, "Brothers and sisters. Balarama and I, along with Nandaraja, will go to Mathura with the old gopas. The nine Nandas and Upanandas and the six Vrishabhas will all rise in the morning and travel to Mathura; therefore, gather together yogurt, milk, and ghee. It would also be accompanied by other measures to be given to the king. Get the chariots ready quickly, along with the wheels. 22-24 |

Hearing this, says Naradji, all the working gopas went from house to house, listening to the gopis and repeating the entire statement. Hearing this, the gopis were filled with anxiety. They were alarmed at the prospect of a future separation and started talking to each other about it, gathering from house to house. Oh dear God! The news of Mahatma Krishna's departure also reached Vrishabhanuvar's house. Vrishabhanunandini was deeply saddened to suddenly hear the news in the packed assembly - 'The beloved will go away'. She fell to the ground like a dead banana and was wiped out. The faces of some of the gopis became very dirty. The fingers of the hand became the bracelets of the wrists. The strands of his hair loosened, and the flowers that were embedded in them soon loosened and fell out. Those gopis stood as if they were paintings. Oh dear God! Some gopis became very engrossed while saying 'Shri Krishna Govinda Hare Murare' in their house and left all the household chores and indulged in meditation like a yogi. The king! Some of the gopis were able to gather and talk to each other in this way. His throat was slit and his voice trembled as he spoke. Tears started flowing out of his eyes spontaneously. 25-31 |

The gopis said, "Ah! The character of a very innocent person is very strange. He is not worth speaking of. The innocent man says something else with his mouth, but has a different feeling in his heart. Even God does not know his mind, so how can man? They are about to leave, leaving everything they said incomplete. Ahhh! There will be no pain for all of us when our souls go to Mathurapuri. 32-33 |

Thus was completed the third chapter in the Narada Bahulashva Samvad under Srimathurakhanda in the Srigarghasamhita, titled "The Coming of Akrur." 3.
