Conquest of Kutch and Kalinga by the Yadava army
Sri Bahulashvana asked - "Devarshi Shiromani! Describe to me the generous deeds of Pradyumra, the son of Srihari, which he went on to conquer successively. Ahhh! Such is the grace of Lord Krishna towards His devotees, which, when heard and contemplated, purifies the sinners along with their families. 1-2.
Shri Naradji said - Rajan! You have asked a very good question. Greetings to your Vimal intellect! The character of devotees of Lord Krishna purifies the three worlds. The king! A learned man may count the streams of water pouring down from the clouds and all the dust particles on the land during the rainy season, but no one can count the merits of the great Sri Hari. Rukmininandan Pradyumna was adorned with a white umbrella, the shadow of which was visible for four yojanas. He rode on a chariot given by Indra and went with his army to conquer the first Kutch country, just as in the past, Lord Shankar travelled in a chariot to conquer the Tripuras. The king of Kutch country had gone out to play white hunting. He returned to his capital Halapuri with the arrival of the Yadava army. 3-7 | (Vishwajitkhand Chapter 1 to 5)
The invading army of Pradyumna continued to uproot trees and demolish buildings in various countries with the help of elephants. The sky was darkened by the masses of dust that had risen from it, and all the inhabitants of the land of Kutch were terrified. At that time, King Shubhra was very happy and immediately came out with five hundred elephants adorned with gold garlands, ten thousand horses, and twenty loads of gold. He paid obeisance to Pradyumna by presenting an offering and tying both his hands with a garland. Pleased with this, Shambarari Pradyumna rewarded King Subhrako with a garland made of jewels and restored it to his kingdom. The king! Such is the nature of the sadhus. 8-12 |
Subsequently, the strongman Rukmininandan went on to conquer the Kalinga country. They were accompanied by fine legions decorated with flying flags. Seeing them, it was as if Devaraja Indra was traveling with the Meghonki troupe. Kalingaraja with his army and powerful elephant-riders set out to fight in front of Mahatma Pradyumna. Seeing Kalinga, Aniruddha, the best of the archers, with his only chariot, stood before the Yadava army and fought against its forces. Repeatedly banging his bow, Vira Anarudhina wounded the Kalingarajas with a hundred arrows, his chariots and elephants with ten arrows each. Seeing this, his own and all the warriors of the enemy saluted him by calling him "Sadhu-Sadhu." Seeing Pradyumna, Aniruddha began to fight. O Lord! Many heroes were torn in two by their arrows, elephants were beheaded, and horses had their legs amputated. The wheels of the chariots were torn to pieces, the horses and those accompanying them went into the gallows, the chariots and the chariots fell down like uprooted trees in a storm. Maithil! The army of the enemy began to flee. Seeing his army fleeing, Kalingaraja, seated on an elephant, advanced with great fury. His armour was torn to pieces. He immediately wielded a heavy mace made of seventy-two weights of iron, and the mighty Kalingaraja roared like a cloud, knocking down great heroes with his elephant. Disturbed by the mace's blow, Aniruddha fell onto the chariot on the battlefield. Seeing this, the Yadavas lost their temper. He immediately began to injure Kalingaraja with sharp and brilliant arrows in a manner similar to that inflicted by carnivorous falcons and squirrels. The king of Kalingara, also enraged at that time, shot back at his bow and repeatedly shot at the enemy's arrows with his arrows. 13-24 | (Vishwajitkhand chapter 1 to 5)
Maithileshwar! Baldev's younger brother Balwan Gadane then took the mace and struck his elephant with his left hand, then struck him with a crescent-shaped arrow. Nareshwar. The elephant was torn apart by the impact, as if a rock had been shattered by Indra's lightning strike. Kalingaraj fell from the elephant and with a huge mace, he hit the mace and the mace also immediately hit Kalingaraj with the mace. A fierce battle ensued between Kalingaraj and Gadam. Both of their maces broke apart, scattering sparks of fire. Gada then captured Kalinaraja and killed him on the battlefield. Just as Garuda is pulling a snake, Gada immediately starts dragging Kalingaraju with his hand. The bones of Kalingaraj, who was struck by a donkey, were falling apart. He came to the refuge of Mahatma Pradyumri. He offered and said, 'You are God, the God of gods too. Who on earth can withstand your onslaught like the enraged Dandadhara Yamaraja? Hello there. 25-31 |
