Sourceचतुर्दशो’ध्यायः विनियोगान् अथो वक्ष्ये मन्त्रयोर् उभयोः समान् । तद्-अर्थ-कारिणो’नन्त-वीर्यान् मन्त्राꣳश् च काꣳश्चन ॥१॥ वन्दे तꣳ देवकी-पुत्रꣳ सद्यो-जातꣳ द्यु-सप्रभम् । पीताम्बरꣳ कर-लसच्-छङ्ख-चक्र-गदाम्बुजम् ॥२॥ एवꣳ ध्यात्वा जपेल् लक्षꣳ मन्त्रꣳ ब्राह्मे मुहूर्तके । स्वादु-प्लुतैश् च कुसुमैः पलाशैर् अयुतꣳ हुनेत् ॥३॥ मन्वोर् अन्यतरेणैवꣳ कुर्याद् यः सुसमाहितः । स्मृतिꣳ मेधाꣳ मति-बलꣳ लब्ध्वा स कविराड् भवेत् ॥४॥ स्यान् मनुस् तत् समजपध्यान-होम-फलो’परः । श्रीमन्-मुकुन्द-चरणौ सदेति शरणꣳ ततः ॥५॥ अहꣳ प्रपद्य इत्य् उक्तो मौकुन्दो’ष्टादशाक्षरः । नारदो’स्य तु गायत्री मुकुन्दश् चषि-पूर्वकाः ॥६॥ प्रातः प्रातः पिबेत् तोयꣳ जप्तꣳ यो’ष्तोत्तरꣳ शतम् । अनेन षड्भिर् मासैः स भवेच् छ्रुतधरो नरः ॥७॥ उपसꣳहृत-दिव्याङ्गꣳ पुरोवन् मातुर् अङ्कगम् । चलद्-दोश् चरणꣳ बालꣳ नीलाभꣳ सꣳस्मरन् जपेत् ॥८॥ अयुतꣳ तावद् एवाज्यैर् जुहुयाच् च हुताशने । स लभेद् अचलाꣳ भक्तिꣳ श्रद्धाꣳ शान्तिꣳ च शाश्वतीम् ॥९॥ मनुनैतत्-समस्तान्ते मरुन्-नमित-शब्दितः । बाल-लीलात्मने हुꣳ फट् नम इत्य् अमुनाथवा ॥१०॥ नलकूवर-गायत्री-बाल-कृष्णा इतीरिताः । ऋस्य्-आद्याः सिद्धयः सर्वाः स्युर् जपाद्यैर् इहामुना ॥११॥ लम्बितꣳ बाल-शयने रुदन्तꣳ वल्लवी-जनैः । प्रेक्ष्यमाणꣳ दुग्ध-बुद्ध्या तर्पयेत् सो’श्नुते’शनम् ॥१२॥ अमुना वान्न-रूपान्ते रस-रूप-पदꣳ वदेत् । तुष्ट-रूप नमो द्वन्द्वम् अन्नाधिपतये मम ॥१३॥ अन्नꣳ प्रयच्छ स्वाहेति त्रिꣳशद्-अर्णो’न्नदो मनुः । नारदानुष्टुब्-अन्नाधिपतयो’स्यर्षि-पूर्वकाः ॥१४॥ भूत-बाल-ग्रहोन्माद-स्मृति-भ्रꣳशाद्य्-उपद्रवैः । पूतना-स्तन-पातारꣳ ग्रस्त-मूर्ध्नि स्मरन् जपेत् ॥१५॥ सासु-चूषण-निर्भिन्न-सर्वाङ्गीꣳ रुदतीꣳ च ताम् । आविश्य सर्वे मुक्त्वा तꣳ विद्रवन्ति द्रुतꣳ ग्रहाः ॥१६॥ जुहुयात् खर-मञ्जर्या मञ्जरीभिर् विभावसौ । सुस्नातः पञ्च-गव्याद्भिः पूतनाहन्तुर् आनने ॥१७॥ प्राशयेच् छिष्ट-गव्यꣳ तत्-कलशेनाभिषेचयेत् । साध्यꣳ सहस्र-जप्तेन सर्वोपद्रव-शान्तये ॥१८॥ अमुनैतद् द्वादशार्णꣳ हुꣳ फट् स्वाहान्तकेन वा । ऋष्य्-आद्या ब्रह्म-गायत्री-ग्रह-घ्न-हरयो’स्य तु ॥१९॥ निज-पादाम्बुजाक्षिप्त-शकटꣳ चिन्तयन् जपेत् । अयुतꣳ मन्त्रयोर् एकꣳ सर्व-विघ्नोपशन्तये ॥२०॥ अङ्गान्य् अमीषाꣳ मन्त्राणाम् आचक्रादिभिर् अर्चना । अङ्गैर् इन्द्रादि-वज्राद्यैर् उदिता सम्पदे सदा ॥२१॥ बालो नील-तनुर् दोर्भ्याꣳ दध्य्-उत्थꣳ पायसꣳ दधत् । हरिर् वो’व्याद् द्वीपि-नख-किङ्किणी-जाल-मण्डितः ॥२२॥ ध्यात्वैवाग्नौ जुहुयात् शतवीर्याङ्कुर-त्रिकैः । पयः-सर्पिः-प्लुतैर् लक्षम् एकꣳ तावज् जपेन् मनुम् ॥२३॥ गुरवे दक्षिणाꣳ दत्त्वा भोजयेद् द्विज-पुङ्गवान् । स ह्य् अब्दानाꣳ शतꣳ जीवेन् न रोगो नात्र सꣳशयः ॥२४॥ अत्रापरो मनुर् द्वादशार्णान्ते पुरुषोत्तम । आयुर् मे देहि सम्भाष्य विष्णवे प्रभविष्णवे ॥२५॥ नमो’न्तो द्व्य्-अधिक-त्रिꣳशद्-अर्णो’स्यार्षिस् तु नारदः । छन्दो’नुष्टुप्-देवता च श्री-कृष्णो’ङ्गान्य् अतो ब्रुवे ॥२६॥ रवि-भूतेन्द्रिय-वसु-नेत्रार्णैश् चात्मने युतैः । महानन्द-पद-ज्योतिर् माया-विद्या-पदैः क्रमात् ॥२७॥ जप्त्वा लक्षम् इमꣳ मन्त्रम् अयुतꣳ पायसैर् हुनेत् । पूर्ववद् दूर्वया जुह्वद् आयुर् दीर्घतरꣳ लभेत् ॥२८॥ दारयन्तꣳ बकꣳ दोर्भ्याꣳ कृष्णꣳ सꣳगृह्य तुण्डयोः । स्मरन् शिशूनाम् आतङ्के स्पृष्ट्वा’यतरम् अभ्यसेत् ॥२९॥ तज्-जप्त-तिलजाभ्यङ्गाद् भवेयुः सुखिनश् च ते । अत्राप्य् अन्यो मनुर् बाल-वपुषे वह्नि-वल्लभा ॥३०॥ गोरक्षायाꣳ क्वणद्-वेणुꣳ चारयन्तꣳ पशूꣳस् तथा । उक्त्वा गोपालक-पदꣳ पुनर् वेशधराय च ॥३१॥ वासुदेवाय वर्मास्त्र-शिराꣳस्य् अष्टादशाक्षर । मनोर् नारद-गायत्री-कृष्ण-र्ष्यादिर् अनेन वा ॥३२॥ कुर्याद् गोपाल-सꣳरक्षाम् आचक्राद्य्-अङ्गिना बुधः । कुम्भी-नसादिक्ष्वेडार्तौ दष्ट-मूर्ध्नि स्मरन् हरिम् ॥३३॥ नृत्यन्तꣳ कालिय-फणारङ्गे’न्यतरम् अभ्यसेत् । दृशा पीयूष-वर्षिण्या सिञ्चन्तꣳ तत् तनुꣳ बुधः ॥३४॥ तर्जयन् वाम-तर्जन्या तꣳ द्राङ् मोचयते विषात् । आपूर्व-कलशꣳ तोयैः स्मृत्वा कालिय-मर्दनम् ॥३५॥ जप्त्वाष्ट-शतम् आसिञ्चेद् विषिणꣳ स सुखी भवेत् । काव्य-मध्ये लियस्यान्ते फणामध्येदि-वर्णकान् ॥३६॥ उक्त्वा पुनर् वदेन् नृत्यꣳ करोति तम् अनन्तरम् । नमामि देवकी-पुत्र इत्य् उक्त्वा नृत्य-शब्दतः ॥३७॥ राजानम् अच्युतꣳ ब्रूयाद् इति दन्त-लिपिर् मनुः । अस्याङ्गान्यङ्घ्रिभिर् न्यस्तैः समस्तैर् नारदो मुनिः ॥३८॥ छन्दो’नुष्टुब् देवता च कृष्णः कालिय-मर्दनः । जप्यो लक्षꣳ मनुर् अयꣳ होतव्यꣳ सर्पिषायुतम् ॥३९॥ अङ्ग-दिक्पाल-वज्राद्यैर् अर्चनास्य समीरिता । क्रिया सर्वा च कर्तव्या विसघ्नी पूर्वम् ईरिता ॥४०॥ सदृशो’नेन जगति नहि क्ष्वेअ-हरो मनुः । अङ्गैः शुकतरोः पिष्टैर् गुलिका धेनु-वारिणा ॥४१॥ आननस्याञ्जनालेपैर् विषघ्नी साधितामुना । उद्दण्ड-वाम-दोर्-दण्ड-धृत-गोवर्धनाचलम् ॥४२॥ अन्य-हस्ताङ्गुली-व्यक्त-स्वर-वꣳशार्पिताननम् । ध्यायन् हरिꣳ जपन् मन्वोर् एकꣳ छत्रꣳ विना व्रजेत् ॥४३॥ वर्ष-वाताशनिभ्यः स्याद् भयꣳ तस्य नहि क्वचित् । मोघ-मेघौघ-यत्नापगतेन्द्रꣳ तꣳ स्मरन् हुनेत् ॥४४॥ लोलैर् अयुत-सङ्ख्यातैर् अनावृष्टिर् न सꣳशयः । क्रीडन्तꣳ यमुना-तोये मज्जन-प्लवनादिभिः ॥४५॥ तच्-छीकर-जलासारैः सिच्यमानꣳ प्रिया-जनैः । ध्यात्वायुतꣳ पयः-सिक्तैर् हुनेद् वानीर-तर्पणैः ॥४६॥ वृष्टिर् भवत् काले’पि महती नात्र सꣳशयः । अमुम् एव स्मरन् मूर्ध्नि विष-स्फोट-ज्वरादिभिः ॥४७॥ स-दाह-मोहैर् आर्तस्य जपेच् छान्तिर् भवेत् क्षणात् । अथवा गरुदारूढꣳ बल-प्रद्युम्न-सꣳयुतम् ॥४८॥ निज-ज्वर-विनिष्पिष्ट-ज्वराभिष्टुतम् अच्युतम् । ध्यात्वा ज्वराभिभृत्यस्य मूर्ध्न्य् अन्यतरम् अभ्यसेत् ॥४९॥ शान्तिꣳ व्रजेद् असाध्यो’पि ज्वरः सोपद्रवः क्षणात् । ध्यात्वैवम् अग्नाव् अभ्यर्च्य पयोक्तैश् चतुरङ्गुलैः ॥५०॥ जुहुयाद् अमृताखण्डैर् अयुतꣳ ज्वर-शान्तये । निशात-शर-निर्भिन्न-भीष्मताप-नुदꣳ हरिम् ॥५१॥ स्मृत्वा स्पृशन् जपेद् आर्तꣳ पाणिभ्याꣳ रोग-शान्तये । अपमृत्यु-विनाशाय सान्दीपनि-सुत-प्रदम् ॥५२॥ ध्यात्वामृत-लता-खण्डैः क्षीराक्तैर् अयुतꣳ हुनेत् । मृत-पुत्राय ददतꣳ सुतान् विप्राय सार्जुनम् ॥५३॥ ध्यात्वा लक्षꣳ जपेद् एकꣳ मन्वोः सुत-विवृद्धये । पुत्र-जीवेन्धन-युते जुहुयाद् अनले’युतम् ॥५४॥ तत्-फलैर् मधुराक्तैः स्युः पुत्रा दीर्घायुषो’स्य तु । क्षीर-द्रुक्-काथ-सम्पूर्णम् अभ्यर्च्य कलशꣳ निशि ॥५६॥ जप्त्वायुतꣳ प्रगे नारीम् अभिषिञ्चेद् द्विषट्-दिनम् । सा बन्ध्यापि सुतान् दीर्घ-जीविनो गद-वर्जितान् ॥५७॥ लभते नात्र सन्देहस् तज्जप्ताज्याशिनी सती । प्रातर् वाचꣳ-यमा नारी बोधि-च्छद-पुटे जलम् ॥५८॥ मन्त्रयित्वाष्टोत्तर-शतꣳ पिबेत् पुत्रीयती ध्रुवम् । प्रहिताꣳ काशि-राजेन कृत्याꣳ छित्वा निजारिणा ॥५९॥ तत्-तेजसा तन्-नगरीꣳ दहन्तꣳ भावयन् हरिम् । स्व-स्नेहाक्तैर् हुनेद् रात्रौ सर्षपैः सप्त-वासरम् ॥६०॥ कृत्या कर्तारम् एवासौ कुपिता नाशयेद् ध्रुवम् । आसीनम् आश्रमे दिव्ये बदरी-षण्ड-मण्डिते ॥६१॥ स्पृशन्तꣳ पाणि-पद्माभ्याꣳ घण्टाकर्ण-कलेवरम् । ध्यात्वाच्युतꣳ तिलैर् लक्षꣳ हुनेत् त्रि-मधुराप्लुतैः ॥६२॥ मुक्तये सर्व-पापानाꣳ शान्तये कान्तये तनोः । द्वेषयन्तꣳ रुक्मि-बलौ द्यूतासक्तौ स्मरन् हरिम् ॥६३॥ जुहुयाद् इष्टयोर् द्विष्ट्यै गुलिका गोमयोद्भवाः । ज्वलद्-वह्नि-मुखैर् बाणैर् वर्षन्तꣳ गरुडध्वजम् ॥६४॥ धावमानꣳ रिपु-गण-मनु-धावन्तम् अच्युतम् । ध्यात्वैवम् अभ्यसेन् मन्वोर् एकꣳ सप्त-सहस्रकम् ॥६५॥ उच्चाटनꣳ भवेद् एतद् रिपूणाꣳ सप्तभिर् दिनैः । उत्क्षिप्त-वत्सकꣳ ध्यायन् कपित्थ-फल-हारिणम् ॥६६॥ अयुतꣳ प्रजपेत् साध्यम् उच्चाटयति तत्-क्षणात् । आत्मानꣳ कꣳस-मथनꣳ ध्यात्वा मञ्चान् निपातितम् ॥६७॥ कꣳसात्मानम् अरिꣳ कर्षन् गतासुꣳ प्रजपेन् मनुम् । अयुतꣳ जुहुयाद् वास्य जन्मोडु-तरु-तपणैः ॥६८॥ अपि सेवित-पीयूषो म्रियते’रिर् न सꣳशयः । अथवा निम्ब-तैलाक्तैर् हुनेद् एधोभिर् अक्षजैः ॥६९॥ अयुतꣳ प्रयतो रात्रौ मरणाय रिपोः क्षणात् । दोषारिष्ट-दल-व्योषकार्पासास्थि-कणैर् निशि ॥७०॥ हुनेद् एरण्ड-तैलाक्तैः स्मशानस्थो’रि-शान्तये । न शस्तꣳ मारणꣳ कर्म कुर्याच् चेद् अयुतꣳ जपेत् ॥७१॥ हुनेद् वा पायसैस् तावत् शान्तये शान्तमासः । जय-कामो जपेल् लक्षꣳ पारिजात-हरꣳ हरिम् ॥७२॥ स्मरन् पराजयस् तस्य न कुतश्चिद् भविष्यति । पार्थे दिशन्तꣳ गीतार्थꣳ व्याख्या-मुद्रा-करꣳ हरिम् ॥७३॥ रथस्थꣳ भावयन् जप्याद् धर्म-वृद्ध्यै शमाय च । लक्षꣳ पलाश-कुसुमैर् हुनेद् यो मधुराप्लुतैः ॥७४॥ व्याख्याता सर्व-शास्त्राणाꣳ स कविर् वादिराड् भवेत् । विश्व-रूप-धरꣳ प्रोद्यद्-भानु-कोटि-समुद्युतिम् ॥७५॥ द्रुत-चामीकर-निभम् अग्नि-सोमात्मकꣳ हरिम् । अर्काग्नि-द्योत-दास्याङ्घ्रि-पङ्कजꣳ दिव्य-भूषणम् ॥७६॥ नानायुध-धरꣳ व्याप्त-विश्वाकाशावकाशकम् । राष्ट्र-पूर्-ग्राम-वास्तूनाꣳ शरीरस्य च रक्षणे ॥७७॥ प्रजपेन् मन्त्रयोर् एकतरꣳ ध्यात्वैवम् आदरात् । अथवा व्यस्त-सर्वाङ्घ्रि-रचिताङ्गार्जुनर्षिकम् ॥७८॥ त्रिष्टुप्-छन्दसिकꣳ विश्व-रूप-विष्ण्व्-अधिदैवतम् । जपेद् गीता-मनुꣳ स्थाने हृषीकेशाद्यम् आज्यकैः । हुनेद् वा सर्व-रक्षायै सर्व-दुःखोपशान्तये ॥७९॥ इति caturdaśo’dhyāyaḥ viniyogān atho vakṣye mantrayor ubhayoḥ samān | tad-artha-kāriṇo’nanta-vīryān mantrāṁś ca kāṁścana ||1|| vande taṁ devakī-putraṁ sadyo-jātaṁ dyu-saprabham | pītāmbaraṁ kara-lasac-chaṅkha-cakra-gadāmbujam ||2|| evaṁ dhyātvā japel lakṣaṁ mantraṁ brāhme muhūrtake | svādu-plutaiś ca kusumaiḥ palāśair ayutaṁ hunet ||3|| manvor anyatareṇaivaṁ kuryād yaḥ susamāhitaḥ | smṛtiṁ medhāṁ mati-balaṁ labdhvā sa kavirāḍ bhavet ||4|| syān manus tat samajapadhyāna-homa-phalo’paraḥ | śrīman-mukunda-caraṇau sadeti śaraṇaṁ tataḥ ||5|| ahaṁ prapadya ity ukto maukundo’ṣṭādaśākṣaraḥ | nārado’sya tu gāyatrī mukundaś caṣi-pūrvakāḥ ||6|| prātaḥ prātaḥ pibet toyaṁ japtaṁ yo’ṣtottaraṁ śatam | anena ṣaḍbhir māsaiḥ sa bhavec chrutadharo naraḥ ||7|| upasaṁhṛta-divyāṅgaṁ purovan mātur aṅkagam | calad-doś caraṇaṁ bālaṁ nīlābhaṁ saṁsmaran japet ||8|| ayutaṁ tāvad evājyair juhuyāc ca hutāśane | sa labhed acalāṁ bhaktiṁ śraddhāṁ śāntiṁ ca śāśvatīm ||9|| manunaitat-samastānte marun-namita-śabditaḥ | bāla-līlātmane huṁ phaṭ nama ity amunāthavā ||10|| nalakūvara-gāyatrī-bāla-kṛṣṇā itīritāḥ | ṛsy-ādyāḥ siddhayaḥ sarvāḥ syur japādyair ihāmunā ||11|| lambitaṁ bāla-śayane rudantaṁ vallavī-janaiḥ | prekṣyamāṇaṁ dugdha-buddhyā tarpayet so’śnute’śanam ||12|| amunā vānna-rūpānte rasa-rūpa-padaṁ vadet | tuṣṭa-rūpa namo dvandvam annādhipataye mama ||13|| annaṁ prayaccha svāheti triṁśad-arṇo’nnado manuḥ | nāradānuṣṭub-annādhipatayo’syarṣi-pūrvakāḥ ||14|| bhūta-bāla-grahonmāda-smṛti-bhraṁśādy-upadravaiḥ | pūtanā-stana-pātāraṁ grasta-mūrdhni smaran japet ||15|| sāsu-cūṣaṇa-nirbhinna-sarvāṅgīṁ rudatīṁ ca tām | āviśya sarve muktvā taṁ vidravanti drutaṁ grahāḥ ||16|| juhuyāt khara-mañjaryā mañjarībhir vibhāvasau | susnātaḥ pañca-gavyādbhiḥ pūtanāhantur ānane ||17|| prāśayec chiṣṭa-gavyaṁ tat-kalaśenābhiṣecayet | sādhyaṁ sahasra-japtena sarvopadrava-śāntaye ||18|| amunaitad dvādaśārṇaṁ huṁ phaṭ svāhāntakena vā | ṛṣy-ādyā brahma-gāyatrī-graha-ghna-harayo’sya tu ||19|| nija-pādāmbujākṣipta-śakaṭaṁ cintayan japet | ayutaṁ mantrayor ekaṁ sarva-vighnopaśantaye ||20|| aṅgāny amīṣāṁ mantrāṇām ācakrādibhir arcanā | aṅgair indrādi-vajrādyair uditā sampade sadā ||21|| bālo nīla-tanur dorbhyāṁ dadhy-utthaṁ pāyasaṁ dadhat | harir vo’vyād dvīpi-nakha-kiṅkiṇī-jāla-maṇḍitaḥ ||22|| dhyātvaivāgnau juhuyāt śatavīryāṅkura-trikaiḥ | payaḥ-sarpiḥ-plutair lakṣam ekaṁ tāvaj japen manum ||23|| gurave dakṣiṇāṁ dattvā bhojayed dvija-puṅgavān | sa hy abdānāṁ śataṁ jīven na rogo nātra saṁśayaḥ ||24|| atrāparo manur dvādaśārṇānte puruṣottama | āyur me dehi sambhāṣya viṣṇave prabhaviṣṇave ||25|| namo’nto dvy-adhika-triṁśad-arṇo’syārṣis tu nāradaḥ | chando’nuṣṭup-devatā ca śrī-kṛṣṇo’ṅgāny ato bruve ||26|| ravi-bhūtendriya-vasu-netrārṇaiś cātmane yutaiḥ | mahānanda-pada-jyotir māyā-vidyā-padaiḥ kramāt ||27|| japtvā lakṣam imaṁ mantram ayutaṁ pāyasair hunet | pūrvavad dūrvayā juhvad āyur dīrghataraṁ labhet ||28|| dārayantaṁ bakaṁ dorbhyāṁ kṛṣṇaṁ saṁgṛhya tuṇḍayoḥ | smaran śiśūnām ātaṅke spṛṣṭvā’yataram abhyaset ||29|| taj-japta-tilajābhyaṅgād bhaveyuḥ sukhinaś ca te | atrāpy anyo manur bāla-vapuṣe vahni-vallabhā ||30|| gorakṣāyāṁ kvaṇad-veṇuṁ cārayantaṁ paśūṁs tathā | uktvā gopālaka-padaṁ punar veśadharāya ca ||31|| vāsudevāya varmāstra-śirāṁsy aṣṭādaśākṣara | manor nārada-gāyatrī-kṛṣṇa-rṣyādir anena vā ||32|| kuryād gopāla-saṁrakṣām ācakrādy-aṅginā budhaḥ | kumbhī-nasādikṣveḍārtau daṣṭa-mūrdhni smaran harim ||33|| nṛtyantaṁ kāliya-phaṇāraṅge’nyataram abhyaset | dṛśā pīyūṣa-varṣiṇyā siñcantaṁ tat tanuṁ budhaḥ ||34|| tarjayan vāma-tarjanyā taṁ drāṅ mocayate viṣāt | āpūrva-kalaśaṁ toyaiḥ smṛtvā kāliya-mardanam ||35|| japtvāṣṭa-śatam āsiñced viṣiṇaṁ sa sukhī bhavet | kāvya-madhye liyasyānte phaṇāmadhyedi-varṇakān ||36|| uktvā punar vaden nṛtyaṁ karoti tam anantaram | namāmi devakī-putra ity uktvā nṛtya-śabdataḥ ||37|| rājānam acyutaṁ brūyād iti danta-lipir manuḥ | asyāṅgānyaṅghribhir nyastaiḥ samastair nārado muniḥ ||38|| chando’nuṣṭub devatā ca kṛṣṇaḥ kāliya-mardanaḥ | japyo lakṣaṁ manur ayaṁ hotavyaṁ sarpiṣāyutam ||39|| ON THE RQUAL (SIMILAR) APPLICATION OF THE ABOVE TWO MANTRAS.
b Vyasa said :—Now I am stating how to apply equally the! aah two mantras; the endless efficacy of them; and Tam entioning about the other mantras also. (1)
I bow down to that son of Devaki, §ri Krgna just born, of aie; colour of the rising sun, wearing yellow robe and holding conchshell, discus, club and lotus. (2)
Thus meditating one should make one 1al Brahma-mihurta, in the eatly morning, and perform *” thousand times with Palasa flower brought by °°

Rising early in the morning, if one makes japam Bhakel and eight times, within six months, the devotee, full of as retains whatever he hears and can reproduce that afterwards directly. (7) i
One is to remember that Sri Krgna has got the full Divinity summed up in brief in His divine Body, is tending cows, of a childlike nature, of blue colour and situated in the lap of His mother. Thus one has to think and make japem- (8)
Whoever performs homa ten thousand times by ghee, will acquire unflinching faith, devotion and peace. (9)
All the actions of the mantra are performed with Vayu vija (yam and then uttering Balalilatmane hum phat namah). (10)
One has to make japam, gayatri being Nalakivara Bila Krsna, the Rsis etc, are the Siddhas, (11)
Think Krgnza as liying on a child’s bed, crying, and being asked by the Gopis to drink milk ; thus thinking, whoever performs tarpanam. gets himself amply compensated. (12)

“Amuna anurdpa rasaripam namah mama annadhipataye namah annam Prayaccha svaha” is the 30 lettered mantra,
Take anna (food), svaha. Thus recite! the thirty lettered mantra by which food is given. Narada is the Rsi of this mantra and anustup is the chanda. (14)
In case of afflictions caused by Bhitas (ghosts), Balagraha (any demon or Starry influence teasing infant children), madness, loss of memory etc, the man who is thus afflicted should recollect within
his head Sri Krsna, sucking the breast of Putana ; and then, make japam of the mantra. (15)

Then offer homa on fire, thinking fire to be the face of Sri Hari, the destroyer of Pitana, with Tulasi manijari flowers and five gavyas, cow urine, cow dung, curd, ghee and milk in certain proportions, (17)
With excellent products of milk, fill the jars and use them in inauguration ceremony (abhigeka kriya) and offer them for préna Purpose. Then try your best to make Japam (mutter the mantra)

Thus meditating one has to perform homa ceremony into fire with Sataviryankura and other articles and milk and ghee etc, and mutte ; the mantra one lakh times. (23)

Sarya (Sun), Bhitendriya (the eleme senses), Vasus, Eyes, 4tma, the Great Light, worshipped in turn, (27)
Make japam of this mantra one lakh one thousand times with payasa (milk boiled with rice and sugar), offer durba grass. Thus longevity is attained. (28)
Try to practise with another maatra, remembering Sri Krsna as rending asunder Bakasura with His two hat ds ; and repeating His names He had in His childhood. (29)

Thus finishing one’s japam one is to take one’s bath applying “till’* oil on one’s body ; and here one ought to repeat the mantra “Balavapuse svaha”’. (30)
While protecting cow-herds and taking other cattle to grazing ‘pasture, one is to meditate and worship Sri Krgna wearing a cow herd’s dress and playing with His flute. (31)
The eighteen-lettered mantra of Vasudeva, wearing a coat of armour has Narada for its Rsi, Gayatri for its chanda and Sri Krsna for its Devata. (32)
' The exprienced devotee is to remember Sri Krsna, in case he ‘be affected with disease called Kumbhinasa or be bitten by a snake on his head ; and he will be cured by Sri Krsna, the protector of -allcalves. (33) '
On that think that Sri Krsna is dancing on the centre of the raised hood of Kaliya serpent ; and think also that Sri Krsna is showering nectar by His eyes ; and that He is thus an object of Sight of the ladies. (34)
Therefore to destroy the effect of any position, threaten by ‘raising the forefinger of the left hand and remembering the crusher of the Kaliya serpent, fill one jar (ghata) with water and think that it is cleared away of the poison. (35)
Make japam twelve hundred times, sprinkle with water and inaugurate the Serpent become happy. On the middle of the hood and on the middle Karu (artistic work), recite the two lettered mantra. (36)
And speak “that the son of Devaki is dancing on it’? and bow -down to the sound that you seem to hear of His dancing, (37)
In case of tooth-ache, think yourself as falling on the lotusfeet of Sri Krsna, and remember the Rsi Narada, and utter the mila mantra (seed mantra). (38)
The Chandas (metre) of the above mantra is anustup, Sri Krsna, the Trampler of Kaliya snake, its Devata, one lakh japam,
and ten thousand times homa or casting ghee on fire ought to be performed, (39)

The worship of Anga Dik-pala Devatias (deities of the several quarters of the sky and body) ought to be performed with ‘clothings; and on them all the aforesaid acts tending to destroy the effects of poison are performed. (40)

If the above mantra be muttered ten thousand times, then certainly no rain falls. And here one ought to remember Sti Krsna, playing merged in the -Yamuné river.
And perform tarpanam (10) ten lakh times, Krsna drenched with sprays of water, thrown beloved ladies. (46)
By this, rain will come to pass; and if He be remembered, the boils on the he: will be cured, © (47)
If a body be burning and if there be making japam for a short while, bring Pradyumna riding on the bird Garuda comes OU him. (48)
If one wants one’s fever to subside, one is to meditate the Deva Acyuta and perform Hema ; if it be a case of bhautika fever, then one should recite the mantra over one’s head. (49)

At this, the fever, though incurable, will subside within a few seconds ; and, as aforesaid, one should make puja (worship) of Him in Fire with fuel of dimensions equivalent to four fingers. (one finger equal-to two inches and a half or three inches). (50).
For the allaying of fever, one ought to remember Sri Hari, the remover of sorrows of Bhigma, whose heart was Tent asunder by sbarpened arrows an perform homa_ with Sugarcandy (sweetmeats). (51)
And to appease any disease, one Ought to remember Sri Hari, and touch the diseased person with one’s hand. Sri Hari the deliverer of the son of Sandipani Muni will prevent him from meeting with unnatural death. (52)
Moreover one jis to perfornt homa ceremony ten thousand times with bits of creepers (lata Khanda) and meditate Him, and remember the deliverer of the dead child of the Brahmana Sandipani, (53)
And, for the increase of children, one is to make japam of any of the aforesaid mantras one lakh times and perform homa on a special fire ten thousand limes, (54)
And for the iongevity of the child, worship the above God in the night with fruits and honey and with jar filled with the juice of the Ksiri tree. (55)
Mutter japam ten thousand times and inaugurate the lady with water, twelve times in the morning, Thus, even if lady be barren, she will give birth to long-lived children, free from disease. (56)
Even in case when children, being born, die away such children continue to live, (57)
And this water of inauguration ceremony, rhe women, desirous of sons, should drink on breaking her fast, after muttering her mantra one hundred and eight {times (12x3x3 times) and thus making the water for the Period of one month and should say :—“O Devaki’s son !” (58)

To kill the enemy in a moment, become pure in the night and perform homa with herons, bones and K4rpis cotton and other articles, that is, an aggregate of three spices (black and long pepper and dry ginger. (70)
Rather to quell down an enemy, perform homa with castor oil and for killing, make japam ten thousand times. (71)
Or becoming calm and quiet and desirous of victory make homa as before ; for peace, with payasa (rice boiled with milk and
sugar) and mutter the name of Sri Hari, the stealer of Parijata one hundred thousand times, (7 )
Remembering His name brings nowhere defeat to the devotee. ‘The above mentioned Hari is giving advice and explaining the meaning of Sri Bhagavadgita to Arjuna in Vyakhya Mudra. (73)
For the increase of Dharma (religion) and Equality, think
Sri Hari seated in the chariot ; and thus if any one performs homa
one lakh times with Palasa flower and honey, he becomes learned
in all the Sastras, and he becomes a poet and expounded of the
astras and sees things beyond, becomes expert and competent.
But one must think of His Form as encompassing all this universe and lustrous as that of tens of millions of Suns, (74-75)

g His lotus feet, looking like Fire and Moon. (76) }
Holding various weapons and extending. Himself throughout,
the universe, He has come down as an Avatara to protect continenis, countries and village. (77)
Meditate Him thus with great love ; and mutter any one of the above mentioned two mantras ; or recite the mantra named Arjuna Rsi and locate mentally in heart His lotus feet. (78)
