Having of old, at the beginning of creation, brought forth the creatures, the three classes, together with sacrifice, Prajāpati, the creator of creatures, said: by this sacrifice may you bring forth increase, a 'prasava' being a bringing-forth, a growth, an arising; make that increase. Let this sacrifice be for you the cow that yields what you wish, yielding the desired ends, the particular fruits you long for. How?
