By the fruits, good and bad, that is, the desired and the undesired, those actions whose fruits are good and bad being the bonds of action, actions themselves being the bonds: from those bonds of action, acting thus as an offering to Me, you shall be freed. This is what is named the yoga of renunciation: it is renunciation, since action is given over to Me, and it is yoga as well; joined with that yoga of renunciation, being one whose self, whose inner instrument, is so joined, freed from the bonds of action even while living, and when this body has fallen, you shall come to Me, shall reach Me. Is the Blessed Lord, then, one of passion and aversion, since He favours devotees and not the others? Not so. He says.
