Waves of the beloved’s lovely adornment have reached and broken upon the shores of Rati’s beauty. What can be said of the treasury of youth, or the many lovely silks spread across her breast? At the sight of the red dot upon her white bodice, even heaven’s possessors of thunderbolts would die of longing. Today, says Rasakhān, it seems the lord of spirits is worshiped with scarlet bandhūka flowers.
