His eyes stretch almost to His ears, while curls ripple across His face. Intoxicated, playful, and radiant, He pours forth splendor and displays a million wonders. Bending and swaying in flashing movement, He drinks nectar and steals both moon and moonlight. That immensely lovely beauty of Mohana delights the heart, says Rasakhān, and leaves it aching for more.

Pearl garlands gleam at their throats; every young cowherd is beautifully arrayed. Yet throughout all Vraja it is Hari alone—Hari alone—who steals every heart and carries it away.

At evening, whoever sees Him begins to yearn inwardly for another sight. The women of Vraja climb their high terraces and, hiding modesty within love, lean out to look. Through the dense cloud of dust raised by the cattle they seek His beauty, says Rasakhān— as though a flame wrapped in sparks were leaping and curling from a mountain of fire.
