Based on a series of talks given by Ananta between April to August 2014. “You are always the Awareness itself, and as Awareness you know that all that is appearing in front of you is just an appearance. There is no one here besides You. All appearances are a play of Consciousness. You stay as the Awareness itself. Once the one that wants to help vanishes, then pure grace and help will flow from You, from your Being itself. Do not get confused, my beloveds. This is all for your own good, for your own freedom. There is only You. You are all there is. All emerges from your own Being. And the way to bless the entire Being is to find your complete freedom.”
Can You Stop Being consists of excerpts taken from some of Ananta's earliest Satsang's between August to October, 2014. “Ask yourself right now: Can I stop being now? In this question you will see that there is a Being here; your own Presence, which cannot be stopped. This Being is not a man or a woman, it is just Being. Irrespective of what happens in the story of this life, this Being is unaffected, unchanged, untouched Consciousness. Prior to I am a person, I am a man, I am a partner, I am a parent, I am a child, prior to all of this: ‘I Am’.
This book is a selection of Satsang dialogues that took place between Novemmeber 2014 to October 2015. “Although it can sound simple, almost trivial, but to not believe our next thought is to experience the freedom, the non-resistive, non-suffering state, right now. You cannot suffer without buying your next thought. Even if you believed all your previous thoughts, this fresh moment is so beautiful and powerful that all prior conditioning has dissolved already unless we pick up the tree of conditioning again by pulling at the branch of the next thought.”
This book is a selection of satang dialogues that took place between January and February, 2016. “You see, the Knowing is always Knowing. Awareness is always Aware, and This is always 'I'. So although Being is coming to a realization of its Source, The 'I' has always been 'I' . Even in the playing of ‘I’ as ‘I Am’, ‘I’ has remained as ‘I’.”
This book is a selection of satang dialogues that took place between March and May, 2016. “That’s why I say that ‘You are free now’. What does that mean? As Awareness you are free. But the advice is ‘Keep coming to satsang’. For who? For the Beingness. There is nothing here for the person. You see? So Consciousness in this monologue is saying to Itself: ‘Hey, buddy, you know, it’s good, what we’ve walked together so far, but let’s just keep at it’. You know? That’s the real monologue that God is having with Itself. It’s all part of the game.”
This book is a compilation of short, poignant talks taken from online Satsangs with Ananta between 19th May to 11th July 2016. It is not the recognition which is difficult. More difficult is to give up our stories. But That which You Are, (and you’re recognizing it now), cannot have a story. That which is not phenomenal cannot have a story. That within which all phenomenon is born and dissolves cannot have a story. You Are This.
Based on a series of talks given by Ananta in July and August 2016. “Can it be that all the wise ones were fooling us with their imploration ‘Know Thyself’ just so that one day we would come to this conclusion that ‘The Truth about the Self is unknowable’? The Realization of the Self is completely possible! The Self is completely Knowable! But not in the way we think. Bhagavan Ramana Maharshi's repeated advice to inquire ‘Who Am I?’ and Nisargadatta Maharaj's guidance to stay with the sense ‘I Am’ was not so that one day they could say ‘Fooled you!’ There is a big clue in the phrase ‘Know Thyself’. The clue is to look at this Knowing itself.”
This is the 8th book of Ananta Satsang talks, taken from online satsangs from 5th September to 19th October 2016. Meet me here where we are One. Meet me here where the universe is just a tiny firefly. Meet me here before time and space. Meet me where meeting Me is to meet Yourself.
This book contains simple pointings, contemplations, guided inquiry and powerful discussions from online satsangs between 26th Oct. to 15th Dec. 2016. “I feel [this] is the gist of what has been shared from here over the years; the gist of what Advaita Vedanta really is trying to convey. It has been a great gift in this life here. Meeting all of you also has been the greatest gift that my Master has given. I have so much gratitude in my Heart for all of you. Thank you for being this beautiful Sangha, my beautiful friends and family. May we all never forget the beautiful grace we have all had in our lives to have the opportunity to be at the feet of Satguru Sri Moojiji.”
Based on a series of talks from Satsang with Ananta, April through September 2017." What witnesses everything and Itself remains unchanging? This one sentence is more than enough, actually." "Satsang is nothing but these two aspects, which are completely inter-linked: What is it that I truly Am? and the dissolution of the belief in this idea of limitation."
Based on a series of talks from Satsang with Ananta, from first of October through end of December 2017. “If it is picked up, it is picked up. Now it's gone. No concept has ever survived this moment. Isn’t this good news? No concept has ever, ever survived this moment. You are empty of it Now.”
This book is a compilation of a series of Satsang talks from 1st January through 23rd February, 2018. “Look at truly what your starting point already is. Once you See that in the beginning itself You are All-There-Is, then what to do with this idea of getting something? These are the gifts of our notionless Existence. As we don’t create a notional, conceptual boundary about ourselves, as we include all sensations and perceptions in our own Being, we See that ‘I witness all of this. There is only One without another and This is MySelf.’ This is Your starting point already. This is the best news.”
This book has been compiled from online Satsangs, 1st March to 14th June 2018. “The bigger meaning of Grace is that it is the will of Consciousness Itself which is all-inclusive. Everything is included in that. This is Grace. When we say ‘Guru Kripa Kevalam’ it means ‘Only the Master’s Grace Is.’ We start to see then that it is one unfolding; it is one movement of Consciousness. The physical form of the Master is the embodiment of this Satguru, the Divine Presence in Your Heart. Everything is unfolding in Its light. This Guru is the light of our Existence. We will See ultimately that everything is the Grace of this Divine Presence; everything is this Satguru’s Grace, is God’s Grace.”
Taken from online Satsangs 25th June to 21st August 2018, these simple pointings, contemplations, guided inquiries and interactions with sangha are full of Ananta’s direct insights, love and laughter. “It is not possible to find the Absolute through conceptual or perceptual understanding. I’m pointing you to emptiness. To put one drop is to fill my cup. What does the empty cup look like? To know one thing is to know too much. What do I know when I know nothing?”
Compiled from transcripts from Ananta Satsangs (27th August to 1st November 2018) these simple pointings, contemplations, and interactions with sangha are full of Ananta’s direct insights, love and laughter. “What is apparent to You Now, without making any distinction, without using any terminology, not even Satsang terminology? We have made a nice nest with all the concepts about Consciousness, Awareness and ‘What I have to do to stay there’. Don’t rest even in that. Don’t make any conclusion, any judgment. I say to you that the Truth is apparent to You Now, the Complete Truth is apparent to You Right Now, fully. There is no time in which this is not true. Only our intellect seems to cloud it, our judgments, our interpretations, our labels. They seem to cloud it, but not really. In the Right Now, the Absolute Truth is apparent to You. But not to your mind.”
This is the 16th book of Ananta Satsang excerpts (not including the paperback/kindle on Amazon) taken from online Satsangs from the 5th of November to the 31st of December 2018. These simple yet powerful pointings, contemplations, guided inquiries and interactions between Ananta and sangha are full of Ananta’s direct insights, love and laughter, continuously opening us to direct realization of the ever-present Truth. “Right Here and Now, the Truth is Apparent to You. Your own Presence is un-deniable, un-miss-able. But this Self has given Itself the power to consider Itself to be limited. In your openness, in your emptiness, all the Truth that needs to be discovered, the Self that you are looking for, is realized. There is no distinction between openness and realization.”
This book was created from transcripts of Ananta’s online Satsangs from 1st January to 7th February 2019. Ananta takes on concepts and interpretations in this book and the way many can miss the living direct experience of the Truth by holding onto spiritual concepts left over from moments of revelation instead of meeting and living this Truth fresh each Now. Ruthlessly exposing yet gently showing step-by-step how the Truth cannot be spoken and what living without concepts is actually revealing to us, this book is full of Ananta’s direct insights, poignant clarity, and interactions with the Sangha, always sprinkled with generous doses of love and laughter.
Namaste everyone. Very warm welcome to satsang today. Moojiji ki Jai! Thank you all very much for joining in. And if this is your first time in Satang, the way to ask questions is through the chat window. Namaste. Wonderful to be back with all of you. For many months actually this has been the …
Namaste everyone. Very warm welcome to satsang today. Moojiji ki Jai!
Thank you all very much for joining in. And if this is your first time in Satang, the way to ask questions is through the chat window. Namaste. Wonderful to be back with all of you.
For many months actually this has been the first break from satsang, isn’t it? Short break [laughing] but first time where we’ve not had satsang for two / three days. So good to be with all of you. Namaste. Namaste.
I feel most of us actually are missing a great opportunity for laughter. We have the services of the best clown in the world. We have the services of the best clown in the world; the best stand-up comic in the world, and this stand-up comic is always telling us jokes. And like the Course in Miracles says ‘We forgot to laugh!’ When we hear the jokes of this stand-up comic, we forgot to laugh and we started taking this comic seriously.
Yes, yes, we are live Wiebke, so try refresh, yes. Namaste, everyone. Namaste. Very good.
So we employed the best stand-up comic in the world, the best clown in the world; and now we started taking the joke seriously. We forgot to laugh. And now, even now, if you were to look for a joke; you can just wait for a few seconds and the joke will come. And the joke could be you must do this. As simple as that, you see! [Laughing] You get it now?
Aradhana says, “My sister is with me, Vasanthi, joining satsang today. Please bless.” Yes. So wonderful to have you with us, my dear. All my love and blessings are with both of you.
So we must drop even calling the mind our favorite example of the ATM machine; the ‘Any Time Misery’ machine! We can now start calling the mind ‘Any Time Comedy’ machine…, ‘Any Time Comedy’ machine!
Aryev says, “It appears scary though; so many people suffering.”
You see, so if we look at this…, so how to get comedy out of this? If you look at your thoughts with a sense of individuality, if you look at your thoughts as a person, then it will always appear scary; it will always appear to have a sense of separation.
But if you look at your thoughts as Awareness, or as Beingness then you will find that funniest things cannot be spoken. [Laughing]
You see, Zoe says very nicely, “Any Time Merriment.”
So the personal perspective is ‘Any Time Misery’. From the personal perspective the mind is Any Time Misery; and as Consciousness and as Awareness the mind is ‘Any Time Merriment’. This is very nice. Can you laugh at the mind? Very good.
Zoe says, “Laughter bubbling up here. Feels like a very deep truth, Father.”
This is all for your entertainment. All of this maya is meant to entertain you. You bought tickets to this movie.
Vivi says, “So funny; I have been watching stand-up comedy in this weekend; the funniest person in the world!” Yes.
Very welcome my dear. Good.
So from a personal perspective you will not get this joke; and when somebody says, ‘Any Time Merriment’ or ‘Any Time Comedy’ we’ll not appreciate it. But as the Supreme One, as ‘All There Is’ you will find that this is completely true. So at best the mind is a comedian; at best. Actually it is nothing at all, but since we’re here for entertainment then we have employed the services of this comedian.
Aradhana says that the video screening is buffering a lot. Anyone else facing this? Let me know. AV seems fine for the others so we’ll wait for a while before we try to change something. AV is fine for the others, I see. Okay.
So what is the comedian saying now?
All of us can find what is the comedian saying now? And you will see that as you go looking for what the comedian is saying it is…, it becomes very quiet mostly.
Ah! Bhagvatiji, Namaste. Namaste.
So what is the comedian saying? And when we go looking for it, it becomes quiet. Otherwise our usual complaint is what? That ‘This mind is so active; it just doesn’t keep quiet’ and ‘My mind is troubling me so much, so much’. That is the usual complaint.
Thank you my dear. So much love. It is so wonderful to be here. Very good.
It’s so simple, you see? In any of these pointings; any of these pointings…, and most of you know that I’m always pointing you towards the simplest…, the simplest pointing. So any of this that you pick up; whatever appeals to you.
So we can say that my Maha Mantra is this simple: Just don’t believe your next thought. No other pointing or teaching is required. All the other teaching is just a variant of this one, isn’t it? And we’ve come up with simple lines for you to remember. We can say ‘Fire the interpreter’ and also now we can say that ‘What is the comedian saying now?’
When we stop taking this mind seriously then we cannot suffer. And also this insight will come that nothing can go wrong; everything is exactly as it is meant to be. And most of you know this very well now. You know this very well now. Now mostly we are dealing with the little bit of doubts that come up, the little bit of ‘but…, but…, but…’ that goes on.
It is my promise to you that you will never suffer again. Just follow this simple pointing: Don’t believe your next thought.
Okay let’s catch up on the chat. Yes, the mind becomes quiet.
Rolf said, “Nothing.”
Jyoti said. “Yes it is quiet.” [Smiling]
Ginger says, “All I hear is that I’m happy to see your radiant face.” Thank you, my dear.
Zoe says, “So wonderful to have you here, Father.” So wonderful to be here.
Prema, thank you so much, my dear; and Denan…
Louise says, “Quite often lately, end up laughing with the girls over any of our ‘same guy’ antics. It is so funny!” Yes. This is very good.
Ishani says. “Father, there is a feeling that I have no control over what arises sometimes and a very deep silence, then some emotions, then again deep silence, then lots of energy…, and I am just here as Awareness through this.”
This is very good that all of this is just coming and going. Silence comes, silence goes, but I am the witnessing of all these appearances. And this Awareness is untouched by any state. Any expression of Consciousness cannot touch Awareness. Because now we are not interested in that which comes and goes. And not being interested does not mean that we become disinterested. It only means that we are neutral.
Let’s take an example of this. So when I say that I am not interested in this body because at best it will last another 40, 50 years…, at best. But this does not mean that the body must be neglected, you see. From the state of neutrality, all auspiciousness arises on its own. The only thing that will become clear is ‘This body can never become me’. That magic cannot happen. I can say that ‘The body arises from me; the body is an appearance for me’ but I can never confuse this body to be me.
And this also does not mean that we become immune to pain. Moojiji takes the example of the injection. So my sister in law actually is a doctor. She stays in Puna and she’s a doctor; so every time she sees me she wants to give me a shot. So this time she gave me a shot of vitamin B12. She says that ‘You are a vegetarian so you must be deficient in B12, here I’ll give you a shot’. So when the shot was given there is pain…, there is pain. In fact, the pain lasted, but there is no suffering. The pain seems very much a part of just regular existence. When it is unresisted, pain is no trouble actually. And when we know it is another expression just coming and going then we will not suffer from pain. We will experience the pain, but no suffering will be there.
Kanchambr says, “Yes, it is so true; we waste all our energy believing our thoughts.”
Yes…, serves no purpose. A thought is always referring to our self…, to us as something which is false. We can never be that which the thought is telling us to be. We can never be separate; we can never be a person. It’s a complete waste of time. As my Master says ‘Ninety nine per cent of all thoughts are rubbish and the other one percent are also rubbish’.
You see it’s very nice to say like this. It’s very nice to say like this, you know why? Because secretly many of us still say ‘Okay, I know ninety nine percent of my thoughts are rubbish, but these are my special ones. These are my near and dear ones’. These concepts; these also must be thrown away. These thoughts which seem special, they must be thrown away. Nothing in the world must be thrown away; we don’t say here that ‘You must renounce your family’, we don’t say that ‘You must renounce your job’, we don’t say that ‘You have to renounce anything that is appearing at all’.
Just renounce your thoughts.
And I have been searching for a true thought for many years; I have not found one. No thought is true. So at best, it is comedy.
Amrita says, “A shot of vitamin B12; very happy.” Yes.
She’s like the vitamin B12 monster, my sister in law. These days, any time she sees me, she wants to give me a shot. [Laughter]
Zoe says, “Yes, yes, Father, the thought I can control various aspects of my life is seemingly hilarious…, completely hilarious. Seemingly hilariously funny now. I know that the right action will arise here on its own without my mind’s intervention.” Yes.
Only what is right will arise; but it might not be right according to the mind. So even this idea of right and wrong will go. There’s actually no such thing; just a label.
Ginger says, “I find that most thoughts don’t even have the capacity to complete themselves anymore.” Yes. “Lots of incomplete sentences inside my head. It is such a … <censored> … watch them fade before they complete themselves.”
Yes, they’re fading out you see. In our lack of interest, in our lack of belief, they are now fading out. Now this bondage, the only seeming-bondage, of thoughts is being broken. This is very good.
Aryev says, “My mind has been very convincing of impending doom and gloom and people dying. Very hard to shake them off.”
We can look at this together now actually; this is good. So you say ‘The mind has been very convincing of impending doom and gloom and of people dying’. Let’s look at this.
So let’s for a moment understand that you cannot prove the existence of another person. For all you know, they could just be characters which are appearing in your dream right now; but you still will be able to say that ‘I Am’. So the only thing convincingly that you can say is that ‘I Am’. And this that you are…, is that a person? Can you show me where the person is in this? You see? So when you say that ‘I believe that people are dying’ that means you’re convinced about your own death actually. You are convinced that you will die.
So let us first find out whether you can die, and then it will be clear to you that ‘If I cannot die, then nobody else can die’. In fact it will be clear to you that there is nobody else. It is all you.
So this person…, first to say ‘Okay, this person will die’. So first we have to show us how this person is alive, isn’t it? What is this person? And you have seen this now, that a person is only a set of concepts, only a set of ideas. It has no validity besides just being concepts.
Where is the person? Is it sitting inside the body somewhere? Is the body sitting inside a person somewhere? Can we find this person who is going to die? And you will come to the conclusion that the person never existed in the first place, and one that never existed cannot live or die.
Then at best what you can say is that ‘I feel that I am the body. I’m convinced that I am the body’. Isn’t it? And this body will die. So if you are convinced that you are the body and you’re convinced that this body will die, then what is the problem now? What is the struggle left? So there is no problem even in this.
If you were to be completely convinced that you are just this flesh and blood; if all that you are is comprised of the food that you have taken, then there is no trouble even in this. Because if you’re convinced about this then you know that at death all of this is over anyway. So just go from moment to moment observing the sensations which are happening in the body. So if there’s hunger, you eat; if there are some other needs those needs get fulfilled and that is it.
See, this is disappointing, no? To hear that it is so simple is also disappointing to the mind because what we are catering to, including our quest for freedom, is not a quest of the body. Isn’t it? So the mind tries to have it both ways to confuse us. And most times it gives us things to do which are coming from a personal perspective: ‘I want freedom, I want security, I want relationship’. And then, when it’s put in a corner and it is asked ‘Who wants all of this?’ then you say ‘Oh, I’m just a body’.
This is not true. The body does not want security, the body does not want relationships. The body definitely does not want freedom. I often said this that if you were completely convinced that ‘I am just the body’ then life is very simple actually.
You must look at this. What is it that is going to die? And are you convinced that you are that which is going to die?
Ishani says, “Yes, Father, it was seen that earlier there was a policing of feelings.” Yes. “And thoughts that I should be peaceful always.”
And in this constant expectation that only a certain type of feelings and thoughts should come, that itself becomes an obstruction to freedom or peace.
[Ishani], “But peace has nothing to do with what comes and goes.” This is very good you see.
‘Peace has nothing to do with what comes and goes’. See, once you say this, then it is over. Then you have seen through this play of maya. Now you’re beyond maya; now you are Amaya: untouched by maya. Very good.
And Ishani says, “Grateful for all the uncomfortable feelings for showing even more clearly what is beyond good and bad.”
Very good. See this is what we are talking about, isn’t it? That you will see even experiences which cause suffering with so much gratitude; because it unravels, it gives you the opportunity to transcend the false and there is so much gratitude for it. This is very good.
So now we are withdrawing all power from the mind. Through all the various pointing we have relegated to the mind to the position of nothingness which it deserves.
So sometimes we call it ‘The interpreter’, sometimes we call it ‘A comedian’, sometimes we call it ‘The serpent’. All of it is just meant to create a distance between you and your thoughts. For too long you have believed these thoughts to be your own and you have never questioned them. Now the game is up.
And as you’re marinating; all of you are marinating in your own Being, you’re coming up with such beautiful testimony, such beautiful testimony; your normal words are becoming like scripture.
Just read this: “But peace has nothing to do with what comes and goes.” So beautiful, isn’t it? I am very happy to read this report, it is very good.
Ishani says, “Thank you, Father, bowing to your love and compassion.” So much love, my dear.
Amaya says,” So can you speak about how you supposedly love ‘us’ (as individuals), without there being God within any others; or where compassion figures into this? I find these perspectives make my heart cold.”
‘How you supposedly love ‘us’ without there being God within any others’. This is good. So we can look at this. What is it that we love? We love…, that which we find Oneness with…, so initially it seems like there’s a belonging-ness with a set of people, and people love others with whom they have this feeling of belonging-ness with, isn’t it? You see? So we say that ‘I am so much in love with this person that I can feel their pain’. See? ‘So much in love with this person that I would rather have their pain’. And physically when the beloved is hurt, then we can physically also experience pain. You see? So this is pointing us towards the Oneness actually. But the person takes on a personal perspective and says that ‘I am in love with another’. Actually what is being pointed out is that in this relationship, what is shown is that all are ultimately One.
So, suppose that you were driving along on a road and there’s a cyclist who’s driving in front of you. The cyclist you do not know, you see, but this cyclist just slips off the bike and he falls to the ground. For a moment there, you will also feel the ‘ouch’, you will also feel the pain. Why does this happen? Because ultimately all of us know intuitively that we are One. So True Love can actually come from this sense of Oneness only. If there is a two-ness, then it is actually a need. If I were to love you as another, then it would actually be a need because then I would need you to love me back. It needs to be a symmetrical relationship. But because I love you as my Self I’m not concerned about what your expression is. Whether it is a loving expression or an angry expression or a distant expression does not concern me at all.
Because my love is independent of any thoughts or actions.
You said ‘So can you speak about how you supposedly love ‘us’ without there being God in any others?’ I did not say that there is no God within others. I said that there are no others, there is only God! So all that you see will be seen to be God Himself. You see?
And one of the perks of this game is to give God the ability to love Himself or Herself.
Once it is seen that all is One, that’s where compassion can come from.
You see, we are the most compassionate towards our Self. And once the whole world becomes a projection of our own Self, then that is true compassion, true love; love without any need; love with no need for reciprocation also.
Then you said, “I find these perspectives make my heart cold”. Not meant to be that way. You see, we are not saying that there’s only God here from a personal perspective, we are saying that there is only God from an impersonal perspective; and as you let go of any belief, any concept; when every concept is gone, you will find that Love is automatically in your service actually. You cannot help but Love. See some ‘Self help’ teachers have started saying that ‘Love is an action’. You see? And it could be true in that way, but the fact is that Love is an energy which is felt; a force which is felt in the Presence of your own Being: just like Joy, just like Peace. And the actions that come in the Presence of this Love can be also called Love.
But it cannot be faked, you see. This is good.
So much love Wiebke.
Amaya says, “Yes, that is it.”
And Rolf says, “Beautiful analogies, Guruji.” Thank you, my dear.
Amaya says, “I don’t need you / others to love me; and do feel the oneness in all, but somehow it seems this nullification of any others; even being here as God in expression. It makes life feel almost nihilistic [that there is no meaning to life]. Exposing and surrendering this.”
‘But somehow it feels this nullification of any others.’ [she says]. ‘Any others’ would mean that there’s a sense of separateness, isn’t it? How can there be another without a separation?
There is no other, there is only You. There is only One Being and One Seeing. In the Light of Consciousness, all this play comes into play. In your own Presence ‘I Am’ all of this appearance appears.
Then Amaya says, “Because the One expresses as uniqueness, that is how. Why do we feel other’s pain when the Oneness is found?”
Because it is seen, you see: The One expresses this uniqueness. This is very good. So when you say already that ‘The One expresses as uniqueness’ then you are already saying that there are no others. So in this we are saying the same thing now.
I have no trouble with this one, because here you say that ‘All is an expression of Consciousness’. We do feel other’s pain when the Oneness is found, yes. So there must be a common thread of Beingness, isn’t it?
So now I find no difference in what you are saying, as you are saying that ‘The One Itself is expressing different forms of uniqueness’.
Yes, that’s why every fingerprint…, have we wondered about this? It’s so beautiful, isn’t it? Every finger print is different, every face is different, every Being is different from another. Every DNA is different, because Consciousness doesn’t waste any energy in duplication. All is a unique expression, as you say. Yes, it is one Being and billions of expressions of the same Being. Thank you, my dear. Very good.
Jasminder says, “Hello, glad to be back.” Welcome back, welcome back. Very good. So good to have you back as well.
Aryev says, “This feeling of others pain is extremely painful. I’d much rather suffer myself.” Yes.
This is the expression of the Saint, you see? This is the expression of the Saint. The one who says that ‘I would much rather take the pain of the entire world upon me’…, yes. It is very beautiful.
But remember that in this realm you are never given more that you can manage. Actually there’s a trick in even saying that, because all is your own projection actually. But even if that understanding is not there, you’ll find that only what you can manage is given. It might seem horrific, it might seem horrendous. But I’ve seen Beings who have gone through huge, huge problems; the death of a very close one, the worst kinds of accidents, the worst kind of crime, and with most of them there is the sense that even in this there was Grace; even in this there was Grace because I discovered so much of myself.
Some will say ‘I discovered I was so strong that I never knew’. You see? But many will actually say that ‘I discovered what I Am’. This is discovered by any of this also. Very good.
Amaya says, “Thank you for taking this. It is an ongoing one that Advaita can seem a very cold-hearted perspective: ‘It’s all me and only me’.” Yes. “Giving it to you.”
Yes, yes. And if this ‘me’ is a person-me, then what you say is right. So I say, and we have said this often that: ‘It’s all about You, but not about you as a person’.
Then what is the ‘me’ we are referring to? Then we are referring to Beingness or Seeingeness, isn’t it?
Zoe says, “So, from the perspective of the Self, all body / minds, including Zoe body / mind are in service to me.” Yes, yes.
All appearance is in service to you. Every moment it is pointing you to your own Reality. Everything, not just body / minds, everything that is appearing in Consciousness is all in service to you completely.
[Zoe] “And the Me like this, with a capital M?”
Yes, the Real, the Absolute You; not the imagined one, not the impossible one.
Amaya says, “Same, same Aryev.”
Yes, this is the theme for today isn’t it? The ‘other’.
Amaya says, “But in the Oneness, feel all others, the world, within Self. Really wanting to be free of sense of separation, yet keep compassion; so your words are valuable to release this.”
See one important tip for you also is that if anything that you feel can go away by hearing something; if something can go away, then it is not eternal. If it needs to rely on some concept, or if by hearing something it can just flow away, then it is not the Truth. The Truth is unmoved by any concept. The truth is unmoved by the words of God also.
So the true compassion, the true love that you feel in your heart will not go away. It is in service to your own Being and no concepts need to be believed to retain that or keep that.
If there is love here, then no words can change it. If there is compassion…, if it is arising, then no words can take it away. The Peace that you feel in the Presence of your Being is unmoved.
Then you say, “Is there a personality that can span and include the world and Beings within? … a personality that can span and include the world and Beings within, that is not the Self beyond it all? That’s what it feels like.”
There is no such personality; all personalities are only imagination. They have no substance in reality; not even in phenomenal reality. There is no such personality that can span anything at all, it is only imagination. It cannot span anything; not even an atom.
Amaya says, “…since obviously Self is beyond all and unmoved, so it must be like the vast personality that feels …”
So, ‘Since obviously Self is beyond it all…’ Yes. The Absolute Witnessing is beyond any appearance and yet all feelings, Love, Compassion, Peace, arise completely naturally in this. No belief is required to bring these authentic feelings up, but the feelings still are not yours, you see. All of this is just arising in your Presence.
Cornelia says, “Namaste, Father, seems I am late.” No worries, my dear.
Maybe there’s some confusion about daylight savings time? I believe some time zones have changed.
Amaya says, “Yes, ultimate Truth is unmoved and no concepts needed.” Yes.
Very welcome, my dear.
Then Amaya says “So if not a vast personality, must be Love.” Yes. “…but imagines there are others and feels for them.”
Yes, the feeling of compassion, the feeling of Love is independent of our concept about this ‘other or One’. Very naturally it arises. You see? So first, to feel Compassion, it does not rely on a thought; for Love to appear does not rely on a thought. And it’s completely unpredictable and natural.
Cornelia says, “Yes, confused the hour.”
Aryev says, “Yes Ananta, I understand fully what you’re saying, yet this Maya is very powerful still.”
Yes, yes, and that is why if we operate from here and try to force this concept that ‘The world is illusion’ or to force the feeling of Oneness then it becomes like hard work; this Advaita business becomes hard work. It can seem to be so challenging, isn’t it? And that is why we made it very, very simple. We just said: Don’t believe your next thought and all the insights, all the Truth will be clear to you on its own.
So all these insights don’t need to come from knowledge, you see, and like my Master says: the best thing we can do for the world…, what is the best thing you can do for the world? … is to first free yourself from this suffering. And then your Presence itself is so beautiful that many Beings are freed from suffering. And then we don’t operate from this presumption also. We don’t even operate from this presumption that ‘I know what is best for another one; I know better than life what is best for another’. This presumption is not true. God knows best. The Universe knows best, even when…, especially when our mind cannot understand it. You see?
I’ll give you a very simple example to understand this. Once I was part of a Seva Team at an Ashram, and in the kitchen what happens is that there was a lot of food that got left over, and there was some construction activity going on close to this place; this Ashram. So we said that there are so many Indian…, in India there’s a presumption that, you know, construction workers are always hungry, and would be happy to receive food and things like that. So we presumed that we know that they must be hungry. And this was just after lunch time actually, so we carried these heavy cans of food to this construction site which was about a mile away. And when we got there actually…, this was very funny in a way…, that when we got there every one of them dangled their lunch box in front of us and said ‘No, we already ate’. And in this simple experience it was seen by me that there was so much arrogance here to believe that I knew what is best for another, and those others must be suffering, and I will go and help them.
So first let me free what is here from suffering; let me not be bound by thoughts, and let His will be done. How would a mind know what is best for another when it doesn’t even know what is best for me? The mind doesn’t know anything at all.
Amaya says, “Yes, thank you. Much gratitude for taking me / us through this.” You’re very welcome, my dear.
Aryev says, “Does that state come with practice?”
It’s not a state. All these realizations are not states, they’re just insights which are always true. It’s just that so far we’ve been listening to the mind’s concepts; and now that we are free from the concepts of the mind then true insight has space to appear. It’s as simple as that.
Amaya says, “I have had, two or three times, long silent experiences of everyone / everything being inside a vast me.” Yes. “Disappeared as a person. Since then don’t really find division within this.” Yes. “But do see others, (myself as one of them). Surrendering anything about this that the mind took on.”
This is very good. In these experiences…, so beautiful to see that all of the creation is arising inside you. I mean, everyone can have a different flavor of these experiences, and some might not have any of these experiences also. They might experience these insights in a different way. That’s completely fine. So if we can experience that this is true that ‘All is arising from within me’ then this itself is beautiful insight. You see? Very good.
And you say, “Inside non-personal One are all the Beings and what they feel.” Yes. “Surrendering that I felt the pain of all humanness”, Yes. “and still do.”
Yes. Many actually Saints have reported these kind of experiences, isn’t it, that the whole pain of humanity is experienced. That itself shows Oneness. It is a way of life showing you that there’s Pure Oneness…, all is One Being; otherwise there would be no way in which you would be able to feel the pain of the seeming-others. There would be no common medium for this pain to travel. Very good.
Zoe says, “Head at your feet, beloved Anantaji. Let there be no arrogance here.” Very good, very good.
Aryev says, “Thank you for that sharing, perhaps this suffering is to dilute this arrogance in me that I can help others.”
Yes, no need to even dilute anything. What is the greatest help you can give another? Let’s look at it from this way. Let’s presume for a few minutes…, I know we’re a little late already but let’s take another couple of minutes to look at this point. I’m enjoying this conversation very much.
So we say that there is me and that there are these billions of others. Let’s presume that this is completely true. Okay now all of these others are there. What is the best thing that I-separate-from-them can do to help another? What is the highest Truth, what is the highest help I can bring to another? For me the highest answer would be to say that ‘If I was to free this another from their suffering, that is the best I can do’. Isn’t it? I don’t know whether money will make it better, I don’t know whether food will make it better, I don’t know whether clothes will make it better; I don’t know what is going to happen with that money, maybe another addiction could be taken on. But I know that if it is possible for this other to be free from their suffering, then there can be nothing better, no better gift that I can give them; no better service that I can do for them.
But can I really do this? How can I free another from their suffering? That is the best, highest gift I can think of which cannot be misused also in any way. So now we have seen from a dual perspective, which is from a Seva perspective, you see? So what is it that I can do? I can free them from their suffering. But to free them from their suffering first I must be free from my own suffering. Isn’t it?
So even forget for a few minutes, forget also forever if you like, that we distinguished and we said that ‘It is all One’. Forget we said that. Just presume that what seems real is real; that there is ‘me’ and there is ‘another’. Even from this perspective it is completely important first to be free from suffering ourselves before we can help another. And then when we have got this gift…, have given this gift to our Self, then we can give it to another. You see? I hope that helped a little bit.
Then Amaya says, “So beautiful; as I release into freedom, then will know the freedom of all the world.” Very beautiful, very good.
Ishani says, “Pray that any arrogance be burnt in Truth’s fire. At your feet Father.” So much love, my dear.
Amaya says, “At your feet Father, so much love.” So much love to you, too, my dear. Always in my heart. Then she says, “Surrendering arrogance of separate self / all One paradox”. Yes.
It’s actually very good we contemplate these things. It’s good. Very nice.
Aryev says, “Yes, I agree. Thank you for that pointing. I am fully committed to that.”
Yes. Then stay your course; most important: Be free from suffering. And let the insights about Oneness and otherness…, whether you become a sage or a saint it is all fine for me; either is completely fine for me. As long as you have lost the ability to suffer, the way in which your expression plays out, whether that is of an Advaitian or if that is of Mother Theresa, either is perfectly beautiful for me. My only attempt is to free you from your suffering. That’s it.
Thank you all so very much for joining in Satsang today.
Moojiji ki Jai! [Namaste].
Thank you all. Thank you so much. [Blows a kiss and waves]
Sangha: Moojiji ki Jai! Anantaji ki Jai! Thank you. Love you.

Q: Whenever I’m done with work, and just sit, and nothing is left.
And when work is happening…, and there is a witness which is saying that nothing is left…
You see, I want all of you to listen to this point very carefully, because this is very relevant. This is very relevant, and it’s the cause of much confusion. All around, I see this confusion. This is very good.
So, we say ‘At times, there is something, and at other times, there is nothing’. At times there is some thing, including the Presence of Being, it can be said ‘This is something which is always here in the waking state. But in the sleep state, even this is not there. There is nothing. You see?
So if we identify as some thing, even this Beingness, then when Beingness disappears then we can say that ‘I was also not there’. You see, when we are identified as an entity, including the Immaculate Conception of Beingness itself, then when this disappears we can say that ‘I was also not there. Nothing was there’. See, truly nothing.
But if we identify with the Witness which witnesses…, with this Awareness which witnesses something or nothing…, so the presence of something and the lack of presence of this something is also witnessed by You. And if this is the ‘I’ that you are identified with, as Awareness, then you know that ‘I was there to see that there is nothing’. Even the nothing is witnessed.
But if you identified with the Absolute, then the arising or the disappearing of this something and the appearance of this nothing will mean nothing for you; because all is coming and going in You-as-Awareness.
You see? But if you’re identified with something phenomenal …, when we identify with something phenomenal …, so suppose we say that you are ‘identified with the body’ and in the dream there is a different body, then we can say that ‘Oh, even I was not there in my dream. It was somebody else’. You see, we can say like this; if you’re identified with the body.
And if you’re identified with Consciousness, with Beingness, then we say that ‘Oh, waking state was there; I was here. And then sleep state came, and even I was not there’.
But if you’re identified with the Absolute, the pure Awareness, the Witnessing of all of this, we say that ‘Something came as Consciousness, and then nothing came as emptiness; and I was aware that nothing was here’.
You know, I hope this is not too complicated. I’m trying to explain it as simply as possible. And it’s very simple. Don’t let your mind come in and say that ‘This is too difficult or abstract’.
It’s the simplest thing: I am able to say that there is something, or there was nothing. And if I did not witness this nothing, then I would not be able to say that there was nothing. It’s a simple as that. You see?
And then, when we’re identified as This Absolute Awareness itself, then it does not matter; any state can come and go. All ‘somethings’ can come and go; all ‘nothings’ can come and go. I am untouched by this play of something and nothing.
And when we are untouched, we realize that ‘I am untouched even by the most horrific or the most sublime of appearances; and untouched by the lack of any appearance’. Then this is freedom. This is your true, natural state.
Q: Anantaji, my Guru, children have been challenging me with their anxiety which has lead to my own heightened anxiety and lack of sleep at times. I feel I am not the right parent for them. God cannot make this kind of mistake, you see? It’s only the mind which can say this. If you …
Q: Anantaji, my Guru, children have been challenging me with their anxiety which has lead to my own heightened anxiety and lack of sleep at times. I feel I am not the right parent for them.
God cannot make this kind of mistake, you see? It’s only the mind which can say this. If you were not the right parent for them, they would not be your children. You are the perfect parent. The Universe makes no mistakes, and it has perfect timing.
This does not mean that everything becomes ‘chocolate flavored’. You see? This does not mean that everything goes according to the mind’s plan. Like my Master says ‘God is never so unkind as to fulfill all of the mind’s plans’ because then we would be deluded forever. Your children have exactly what they need. And you have your children to show you exactly what you need. What needs to be overcome and what needs to be transcended is also as important to be shown. And all our relationships play this role…, more than any other relationship actually.
It’s good. All that is appearing is exactly as it is meant to be. And we’re not saying that it is perfect from the mind’s perspective. It is perfect from your realization of the Truth perspective, because everything shows you what needs to be transcended.
This is very good. And to have this spirit of surrender, then none of this problem can last. And to have this surrender, then you’re being the perfect parent, you see? You’re being the role model. Because children look for us to show them the way. And with this surrender now, you will show them that you are untouched by any appearance. And this will be your gift to them. Your freedom will be your biggest gift to your children. And in this way also, the light will carry on further.
Q: Father, exposing this resistance of parents coming to know of me attending satsang. I see… “Whatever!” she says. In fact, when you said your parents were there, I had a feeling to say ‘Why don’t you invite them?’ [Laughs]. You must not become sheep. Many of us, because we feel that what we are …
Q: Father, exposing this resistance of parents coming to know of me attending satsang.
I see… “Whatever!” she says.
In fact, when you said your parents were there, I had a feeling to say ‘Why don’t you invite them?’ [Laughs].
You must not become sheep. Many of us, because we feel that what we are doing is swinging to a different beat compared to the world; the world must not turn us into sheep.
And your parents will know in their Heart what is true. And all they want to see you is happy. So if satsang is making you happy, they will trust satsang as well. And along the way, if they have some resistances, some suffering which shows up, then they need to transcend this; and this will bring them to satsang. It’s not necessary that it will be this satsang. But as they get open, and they start looking for answers, then the right teacher, the right experiences will start appearing for them.
But you don’t need to hide yourself. Neither arrogance nor false humility is required. Just be your natural self.
Q: Father, just wanting to clarify…, sometimes there is a feeling to just stop; to stop scanning Facebook, the chat groups, books, etc. To just stop looking for the answer or for something to sink in. Yes. It’s not about the action, you see. It is not about what is flowing through this body; whether we’re …
Q: Father, just wanting to clarify…, sometimes there is a feeling to just stop; to stop scanning Facebook, the chat groups, books, etc. To just stop looking for the answer or for something to sink in.
Yes. It’s not about the action, you see. It is not about what is flowing through this body; whether we’re chatting all day or sitting in a meditative silence. It is ultimately not even about that. It is whether there is any belief given to the mind, then all these actions are happening. That is the root. You see? So a liberated one can have the busiest job, or can be sitting in a cave. Hmm? So it’s not about the actions. But yes, if there is a belief in a thought, even a thought that says ‘Something needs to sink in’…, you see? What is being spoken of here doesn’t even need to ‘sink in’. But I know what you are saying; I get the essence of what you are saying. But right now…, you are aware.
This is for all of you: Right now, you are aware.
Please hear my words: Right now, you are aware.
Can you find any distance between yourself and this awareness?
And don’t automatically answer; even if you feel that ‘I know this answer completely’. All of you, Look:
I am aware now. How far am I from this awareness?
Is there any separation between this awareness and me?
What is needed to be understood to find this awareness?
Can I ever become anything but this?
Just look at this fresh, as if you’ve never heard any of this before.
And as you let go of your next thought, then you will see that all these actions are unfolding on their own. You see?
Q: …to sink in. Sometimes I feel to trust this; that it is the stopping of being ‘the seeker’. But wanting to check that it is not the mind wanting to take me away from satsang.
Anything…, if God himself comes and says ‘You can now stop going to satsang’…, don’t believe him. [Chuckles]. I know those seem like strong words, you see? But they need to be used. Anything which tries to take you away from satsang…, even if this strong thought comes that ‘Oh, now I find that the Master is here in my Heart so I don’t need to come to satsang anymore’ …, even if this feeling is there; even then, don’t stop coming to satsang. This is the only rule, (if we can call it that), that we enforce. Because there is only one thing that you can trust, and that is satsang.
You see? So what will happen is that satsang will burn all that is untrue, and then satsang will remain as a joy. It will not seem like effort; it will seem like complete Joy.
Q: Something feels to stop, Father. Not to stop coming to satsang, but to just stop this trusting of seeking and grasping.
Yes! This you must do right now. You see? This can be done right now. If there is a needy, seeking, grasping sort of energy then this is only coming from the sense of separation; because only the imagined one, only the impossible one can say ‘I need to get somewhere. I need to understand something’. Or even to say that ‘I got it now’. It is only the imagined one, the impossible one, that can say this. So this we can stop. Hmm?
So, if you find that ‘I am aware now’ can you see that this Awareness is not seeking anything at all? This Awareness is seeking nothing at all. That is why my Master says ‘Stay as the Awareness’. You see, there is some power in these words. Although the mind will come and say ‘How can I not be the Awareness? I know this now’. You see? But sometimes it feels like some seeker-entity seems very strong; and even to drop this by staying as the pure Awareness itself. And from here you can tell me what is going on.
You see, I hear you in your broadcast when you are reading Adyashanti’s book. I can sense such a pure Presence there; it completely goes straight into the Heart every word that you say. And this Presence is completely free.
So let the mind come and throw all the tantrums that it wants; I know it is the last stand of the mind. You stay in satsang. All this will not last.
See, the light does not have to ‘work’. The light does not have to make an effort to dispel the darkness, you see? It is the nature of light that darkness cannot survive. You don’t have to work at it. In the Presence of Being, unattached, uncontaminated, the false ego will not survive. Because darkness …
See, the light does not have to ‘work’. The light does not have to make an effort to dispel the darkness, you see? It is the nature of light that darkness cannot survive.
You don’t have to work at it. In the Presence of Being, unattached, uncontaminated, the false ego will not survive.
Because darkness has no substance actually. Darkness is only the seeming-absence of light. It has no independent existence; just like the ego.
So we must not even make a big thing about the ego. We must not make a big concept out of ‘person’ also. Because if we keep believing that it is a big obstacle, then in our belief it will get that reality. Just be in the light of satsang and all darkness will be dispelled.
That is one of the meanings of the word ‘Guru’ also; the Guru is the dispeller of darkness.
It is not an effort to be in the Presence of the Satguru in your Heart. It is only seen that the Presence is strongly felt when we let go of effort; when we give up this myth of attempting to do something instead of just witnessing the flow.
When we rely on our thoughts…, as if God would need a thought to run the world, as if God needs a thought to run this life. Therefore the confusion must be that this is a personal life. The misconception must be this, that this is a personal life.
As you see through this misconception, then you see that this is God’s life.
God is living this life.
The Eternal One is leading this life.

Namaste everyone. A very warm welcome to satsang today. Moojiji ki Jai.
Thank you all so very much for joining in; and if this is your first time in satsang, the way to ask questions is through the chat window. Namaste. Thank you so much.
Happy Birthday, beloved Naomi. Hope you have a wonderful day. All my love and blessings are always with you.
And Happy Diwali, Rashmi. Yes, Happy Diwali to everyone as well. It’s so beautifully symbolic, isn’t it? The festival of lights; just like this sangha is a festival of lights. Such beautiful lights here, all of you. I’m so blessed to be in your Presence. Thank you so much for making this a beautiful Diwali.
Namaste, Namaste. Very good.
Naomi says, “Thank you so much, dearest Anantaji. It is so wonderful to have you in my life this year.” Same, same, my dear. Very good.
Rashmi says, “Oh, Lord, so good to see you, Father.” Same here, my dear. Very nice.
Kunchan is also here. She says, “Happy Deepavali, [Another name for Diwali], Anantaji.” Happy Deepavali to you, too.
[Silently reading chat greetings]. Thank you all so much.

One of us in chat had worried about turning a particular age. [chuckles]. And there are two things I want to tell you about that. The first one is, I am also getting there in a few months; so tell me how it goes. [chuckles]. But more importantly, what I want to tell you is that you are the Eternal One. You are not the age of your body; you are the Eternal One. And it is very good if these kind of fears are coming up so that they can be exposed and any body-identification which still remains, most of it can be thrown into the fire of satsang. You see? So don’t feel that no fear should come up. If it doesn’t come up, it might never get released actually. And how long do you want to carry all this? Just hand it all over. It’s all my problem now. [Big smile].
Thank you, Lizelle. Lizelle says, “Father, may your light shine throughout all the worlds.” Your faith will make it so, beloved one. Thank you so much.
How old is this Awareness? How old is this Awareness? How old is the Being that is here?
Naomi says, “Happy Diwali.” You, too, my dear. “Thank you for your words and wishes. Age is just a concept of the mind. Handing over the fear of aging. We are the Eternal One Being.”
Beautiful. See? Exactly what I said. The Eternal One Being, very beautifully said.
“What a relief,” she says. Yes. Very good.
Prema says, “All darkness is being dispelled here, Anantaji.” Very good, my dear. “Can hardly contain the Joy, Peace and Love.” Very nice. “How to thank you, dearest Father?”
Just in this report, just to say this, that suffering is not possible here now, and ‘…cannot contain this Peace, Love and Joy’…, there’s no better thanks than this. Very beautiful. Thank you, my dear.
Shanti says, “Glory to the Light that brings us this Love.”
All my Master’s Grace. Thank you, beloved Master. Moojiji ki Jai !
Lizelle says, “Shanti, Glory Be!” So much love.
Wiebke says, “Father, I hand all stories about this imagined one and the interpreter of feelings over to you.” Very good. Very good. “At your feet, Father.” Very good.
There is great depth in what she says, you see? Very good.
Thank you, Vivi, …, Denan.
For this Diwali, don’t give any attention to the darkness. It is not real ! And if you find that it is difficult to withdraw attention, at least withdraw your belief. That is enough, actually.
[Silence, gazing into camera lovingly].
What remains here now?
[Silence]
Clare says, “There are some ‘but’s…..’ arising here, Father. Putting them always at your feet.”
This is very good. And as you burning them, you keep surrendering them, you will see that they will lose all power that they had. The mind will not stop. The mind will not stop saying ‘but…, but…, but…’ But what used to seem like a loud noise will become lesser and lesser until it becomes like a distant whisper. And what seems to have a lot of magnetism today will not have any power at all.
So, don’t attempt to change your mind. If you’re expecting that the mind will get reformed, all of you…, just forget about it. It is the nature of mind to perpetuate separation, even when it is pretending otherwise. So don’t attempt to change your mind. Just change your belief; just remove your belief.
Actually you cannot sit on two chairs at the same time; you can, but it will be very uncomfortable. You can either believe the voice of the Satguru in your Heart or you can believe the mind. If you try to manage both, if you try to juggle both, if you create a dichotomy between satsang and the so-called outside world, then life could become very uncomfortable; and with good reason. With good reason, because this discomfort will make you look further. And then you will find that with my belief just in the Pure Presence that is here, then all belief in the mind is gone.
But I see many actually who come and say ‘In satsang, I feel like this; but in the ‘real world’…, (there is no such thing, but in the so-called real world)…, I will act like a person’. So in that way they are giving their belief to all the personal ideas for the entire day; and during the one hour in satsang they come and just let go of all of it.
I have a simple suggestion / solution for those of you…, it is: Just let go of your next thought no matter where you find yourself. Just let go of your next thought no matter where you find yourself, in satsang or in the outside world. All of this is actually inside you. Another way to say it is: It is only in front of you as an appearance.
What is said in satsang applies to your entire life. Usually it is said that what applies in work only applies to work, all that is said in family only applies to family; but what is said in satsang applies to your entire life. And in this way, the misconception about who you are and what you are is dropped; and life stops being a struggle.
Most of humanity seems to be struggling through life, isn’t it? And what are the ego’s mantras? What are the ego’s mantras? ‘If you fall down, fight back, get up again, fight one more round’. You see, all of this is just visual metaphors for this life being a struggle. What is there to fight for? You are already the Supreme One. Why do you have to fight one more round? Against whom are you fighting? What are you expecting to win? What are you fearing to lose? Drop all concepts of this struggle. You see, it’s become a habit for many of us.
Namaste, Louise. Louise says, “Threw a tantrum in the satsang hall, and now there is a little judgment about how silly and meaningless it all was.”
It is very good. If you let go of it, and now you can see it with this distance, this is very good.
[Louise], “But this does not even feel real.”
Not sure what the tantrum was about, but it is very good; to throw all of this at the feet of the sangha hall, it’s very good. All our beliefs, all our concepts will leave us in this way. What has passed, is passed. What is fresh here now?
Without even relying on a feeling, you see? ‘But this does not even feel real’ you say. What does reality feel like? Hmmm? ‘Feel real’ can only be a conclusion from the mind, isn’t it? …or ‘Seems real’ or ‘This feels real’. What does reality feel like, also?
Thank you, Clare. Very good.
So much love, Ustreamer383.
And Louise, if you want to share something, you can do so. If the tantrum is completely gone, it is fine. But I’m completely open to you throwing the tantrum here as well, if it has some power still.
Ustreamer383 says, “Father, whenever the mind is withdrawn for work or any daily activities, this space starts showing in a different aspect.”
You say ‘whenever the mind is withdrawn for work or any daily activities’. Do you mean that when you withdraw your belief from the mind and you don’t even believe thoughts for work and daily activities…, ‘this space starts showing in a different aspect’… ? Maybe elaborate a little more on this? If you can elaborate a little more, we can look at the question.
Louise says, “It passed, Father.” This is good.
Ustreamer383 says, “Whenever done with work, and just sit, and nothing is left.”
That’s good. Very good.
Shanti says, “It’s all me. My satsang Self. My outside-life Self. My sleeping Self. It’s all the same to me.”
Very beautiful, isn’t it? Who can say these kind of words? Beautiful.
[Shanti]: “Just change of scenes and places. I am the same One in all my apparent states.”
Very beautiful.
[Shanti], “If I believe, all the different appearances is ‘the same guy’. If I don’t believe, it’s the same One.”
Wow! This is very beautiful. [Beaming smile, shakes head]. Satguru is speaking through these words. It is such a joy to experience them. Very beautiful, my dear. This is a beautiful quote that we can share with everyone. This is very beautiful. Very good.
Clare says, “That’s so helpful, Anantaji.” Thank you, my dear. Very good.
Ustreamer383, yes. Thank you so much, my dear. I know that your question was a little different from what answer came, but if there’s still some juice in the question, you can ask again; we can look again together. But that was the answer that arose, and I hope it was helpful. Good.
Naomi says, “So helpful. Needed to hear these words. Very good, Shanti dear.” Very good.
Denan says, “I can keep Shanti’s quote and give to Stacy for quotes page.” Yes, please. Thank you for that. Very good.
Louise says, “Father, just wanting to clarify…, sometimes there is a feeling to just stop; to stop scanning Facebook, the chat groups, books, etc. To just stop looking for the answer or for something to sink in.” Yes.
You see?
And then Louise says, “…to sink in. Sometimes I feel to trust this; that it is the stopping of being ‘the seeker’. But wanting to check that it is not the mind wanting to take me away from satsang.”
Shanti says, “Wow. I was actually going to erase that, but sent by mistake.” [Laughs]. “Sometimes I don’t know what is coming through here. Thank you, Sangha. These are your words, not Shanti’s”.
[Beaming smile]. They are the Heart’s words. They are the Satguru’s words. Very good.
Louise says, “Something feels to stop, Father. Not to stop coming to satsang, but to just stop this trusting of seeking and grasping.”
So much love. Very good, my dear.
Zoe says, “Father, I wish to expose something here. I went to Mooji’s silent retreat in London last year, and there was such Peace and Love. And on the last day, during the last satsang, I felt some discomfort in the body, and also the thought came ‘Yes, yes. I know this’ and I got up and left our Master’s Presence. I still feel some shame, and one day wish to ask our Beloved Master’s forgiveness.”
[Big loving smile]. Don’t give it another thought. There are some 30+ people in this satsang today, and I’m sure in most minds, there will be these thoughts that come. That is the nature of the mind. That is the nature of the mind. Even when I go to the Master’s satsang, if there are some satsangs that become too long, this thought keeps coming ‘But it’s too much today’. You see? This thought will come that ‘It’s too much today’. But now you have seen through this trickster, just like I have seen through this trickster.
And it doesn’t matter if one day you got up and left. It means nothing at all. It never happened; none of this is true. Just forget about it. [Chuckles]. Remember that nothing can happen without His will. It’s all this game. Don’t believe even this interpretation. It’s nothing, nothing, nothing. Hmm?
And I appreciate your courage actually, for being able to expose this. It’s very beautiful. Very good.
Clare says, “Putting all opposition and resistances to anything at all at your beautiful feet of Love.”
This is very good. You see, now you’ve taken the whole net, you’ve collected all of it and said ‘Now, gone!’ You see? This is very good. This is very good.
Zoe says, “Such arrogance. Laying it all at your feet.”
No, don’t let the mind make guilt out of this. It’s all gone. Forget about it.
Aryev says, “I also tried to change my schedule. Late night satsangs were turning me into a night owl. Thought I would get up early and attend the morning sessions, but it just didn’t happen.”
That’s okay. Also we have the recordings. The recordings are good. I realize that time is some challenge for some regions, and that is why we have these two different slots. But I know that for some regions, these two slots also don’t work. So don’t make any of this into any guilt. Just have this openness in your Heart to be in satsang and you will automatically find yourself there; and the recording is also there. And if you have any questions, you are always free to ask me anyway. Very good.
Wiebke says, “Oh, yes, stop it. Trying to grasp is so exhausting; almost painful.”
Yes, it’s very tiresome, you see? It’s very tiresome to keep asking ‘What’s in it for me? … to keep looking for something I can get from every situation’.
Naomi says, “Anantaji, my Guru, children have been challenging me with their anxiety which has lead to my own heightened anxiety and lack of sleep at times. I feel I am not the right parent for them.”
Very good.
Rashmi says, “Father, exposing this resistance of parents coming to know of me attending satsang.” I see… “Whatever!” she says.
Very good.
Zoe says, “Tears of relief here, Father. Thank you with all my Heart.”
This is very good. You see, the smallest thing like this, for us it can seem like it’s such a big deal. That’s why we said earlier that our secrets seem like the most scary ones, but once they’re exposed everybody says ‘This is true for me as well’ and we wonder how we had so much shame about this strong secret; and it is nothing at all. None of you must carry this burden. It is not required. Because this guilt will perpetuate the idea that ‘You can do something’…, that the person can do something. So just throw all of this away. It is very good.
Rashmi says, “Give it to you, sweet Father.” Very good, my dear.
Louise says, “Father, I am the Awareness of this seeking and grasping.” Okay. “It won’t stop, but I am starting to see it no longer matters if it happens or not.”
‘…it no longer matters if it happens or not’. Are you talking about a freedom or liberation which happens or not?
Then you say, “There used to be some frustration about this. I’m starting to see that nothing needs to change.” This is very good. “There were many expectations for things to change.”
These expectations going away is the most auspicious thing. Our desires and aversions going away is the fruit of satsang.
Actually the minute you say ‘Father, I am the Awareness…’ then it is all clear. So when you say ‘Father, I am the Awareness…’ then for This Awareness, what needs to happen or what is not happening?
Can something ever happen to This Awareness, for This Awareness?
So, to see this, the first phrase which you used ‘Father, I am the Awareness…’ that is the end of the story, actually. You see what I’m saying? It is as simple as this. So, stop at ‘Father, I am the Awareness…’ and then don’t believe any thought. Then show me what troubles you.
This is for all of you. See, once you say ‘I am the Awareness’ then the scope for this ‘but…, but…, but…’ is not there. You see?
It is the most beautiful to say ‘I am the Awareness’. Not necessarily to say this in words, but if some words can be used, I cannot find better words than this. Very good.
Ishani says, “Chat was not working on the laptop, but here with you, Father and sangha.” Welcome, my dear. Very good.
Louise says, “I do feel some stickiness…”
Let the feelings come. Let them come. Don’t worry about which feeling is coming and going.
[Louise]: “…with not wanting anger. But feeling so much trust lately that even this has no real juice.”
This is very good, you see? [Laughs]. And now we all say ‘This has no real juice’. So you see, the mind is just now grasping at straws…, ‘but…, but…, no, this also not very strong now, this also…’ So it will run out of these things now. [Laughs]. This is called emptiness; this is called emptiness. You will be left without anything to ‘not want’ also, and anything to ‘want’ also. No desire and no aversion will be left.
Lizelle says, “Untouched, unmoved Awareness. Sat Chit Ananda.” Very beautiful. “Thank you, Father.” Thank you, my dear.
Naomi says, “Thank you so very much for this beautiful seeing today. Such a gift.” Yes.
Thank you for your Presence on this auspicious day [birthday]. Have a wonderful, wonderful time!
Louise says, “Laughing, laughing… Love you so much.” Love you, too, my dear child. Very much. Very good.
Dee is here. Very welcome, my dearest one. I’m always with you. Very good.
Thank you, Adam. So much love to you, my dear.
Thank you, Denan, so much. You are always in my Heart, you see? [Big smile].
See, for some of you these feelings come sometimes that ‘Oh, I’m feeling a little out of the sangha and feeling like an outsider. All this, just thoughts, just feelings. They are nothing to you now. Nothing, nothing, nothing. Nothing is outside my Heart, no one is outside my sangha. There is unlimited…, too much, too much Love here. [Big smile].
Thank you, Aryev. Thank you so much.
Thank you, Ivan. It was very nice to see you yesterday. [Advaita Broadcast Test Channel]. And we will work on the technology issues and get you to start broadcasting soon.
In fact, all of you can broadcast. It’s very good. Such beautiful light is being spread through this simple initiative. I’m so, so happy that the works of our great Sages and great Teachers are being saved forever on this digital platform, you see? I wonder how many of you look at it this way? Such beautiful works which were written many thousands of years ago, like the Ribhu Gita, are now being shared through the medium of this internet by such beautiful Beings; completely without any selfish motives, without any expectation.
I’m so blessed to be a part of this journey with all of you. In fact, I don’t mind saying that I am at your feet, with so much gratitude. Thank you all so much for this beautiful gift.
Shanti says, “Thank you, Father, dispeller of darkness. This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine, let it shine, let it shine.” Very good.
Wiebke says, “Thank you so much, Father and sangha.” Thank you, my dear.
Thank you, Clare.
Thank you, Cornelia, very much.
So much love, Prema.
So much love, Slabrum. Sorry, I’m not sure how to pronounce that. Thank you so much.
Zoe, love you.
Jyotika, love you so much.
Louise, thank you.
Thank you, Bhagavatiji. The body will also get better soon. It’s good.
Vivi, “Nothing, nothing, nothing.” [Laughs]. Yes. So much love.
Oh, Amaya is also here. Very good, my dear. Very good.
Thank you, Clare.
Thank you, Lizelle.
Thank you, Rashmi.
Thank you so much, Bhagavatiji.
Thank you all so very much for this beautiful satsang today.
[Namaste]. Moojiji ki Jai ! [Blows kiss and waves].
Sangha: Moojiji ki Jai ! ]. Anantaji ki Jai ! Thank you. Love you.
Namaste everyone, a very warm welcome to satsang today. Moojiji ki Jai. Thank you all so very much for joining in. And if this is your first time in satsang, the way to ask questions is through the chat window. Welcome once again. Namaste. Hello. I’m so happy all of you could join us. What …
Namaste everyone, a very warm welcome to satsang today. Moojiji ki Jai.
Thank you all so very much for joining in. And if this is your first time in satsang, the way to ask questions is through the chat window. Welcome once again. Namaste. Hello. I’m so happy all of you could join us.
What would you like to speak about today? Does someone have a question?
Understanding devoid of Love is only half way there. You see? I happened to see one conversation between two very great Masters, actually, today. But what I noticed is that it was all coming from the intellect and the words were not dipped in honey.
So this Love is beyond all intellect. And your words can be completely nonsensical, it does not really matter. But all Beings can recognize the Love which is flowing from your Heart. Um?
[Unidentified participant]: “How did you realize this?”
Yes, because it was clear the words were not coming from the Heart, because they were devoid of Love. They were devoid of Peace. They were without any Joy. You see, when it is without this Presence of Love, then it must come from the mind.
I’m sharing this not as a judgment …, and I’m not going to share the names of these teachers, so I’m not sharing this as a judgment but as a pointer to all of us. It’s just a pointer to all of us to see that we don’t get lost in this intellectual understanding to such an extent that we lose our compassion. It must never become a game of ‘one-up-man-ship’, that ‘I know more than you. I am a greater jnani then you’. All this can only come still from the personal mind. Isn’t it?
So the mind can be so tricky that it can even play this pure knowledge as an excuse for ‘one-up-man-ship’, as an excuse for specialness, as an excuse to prove that ‘I know better than you’. And we must find whether some of this tendency still remains here.
So as I was seeing this interaction, it was not like it was a judgment about that interaction. It was more of a searching for whether this tendency still lurks here somewhere as well. And with that the prayer comes that: If there is any arrogance that still remains here, please slap it out of me this very instant. This very instant.
Okay, before we get to Loney’s question let’s catch up with the chat. Bhagavatiji says that she would like to speak of Grace. Yes. So we can start with this.
There are two ways to look at Grace: The ultimate way to look at Grace is to see that all that is happening, all the appearances which are appearing, is also Grace. Because if it is freedom that we want then all appearances are pointing us back to our own true reality. Especially the strongest-seeming ones. Especially the ones that seem to carry suffering with them. Therefore I cannot find anything which appears which is not Grace. So that is the first way to look at Grace; that it is all that is appearing.
The second way to look at Grace is what Bhagavan [Ramana Maharshi] also said about it, which was to say that this was some ‘undeserved blessing’.
When I look at this page it says that the recording is gone. Okay, I feel all of you are having some trouble with the video so I will switch just to audio. And video is gone now. And you can tell me how it is now? So if you can hear these words well and without interruption you can let me know.
Loney says, “I had this crazy dream last night. In the beginning a nightmare then a dream saying ‘This is just a dream’. But I was still scared. Then a dream saying ‘This is just a dream in a dream. That is why you are scared’. Then I woke up and realized all of it was just dreaming.” Yes. This will happen. Many times these kind of lucid dreams, lucid experiences will come. And it’s completely fine.
“No more fear. Just like life.” Very good.
Very welcome, Bhagavati. Very welcome.
Ginger says, “How vigilance appears to me now is that it is seen that I am always already seen.” Yes. “The vigilance is already here as me. Is this accurate?” Yes.
If it is seen that ‘I am always only the Seeing itself’ then this is vigilance. It’s good enough.
Loney says, “It is fine.
Miss your beautiful eyes.” Thank you, my dear. Very good.
Ustreamer21 [Scotty] says, “So much love. So much beauty. This silence is my Heart shining the light here and now. So grateful for the satsang and sangha. So much Grace, smiles on my face and light shining through my eyes. Om.” Very beautiful Scotty. A wonderful report. So happy to hear this. Very good.
Wiebke says, “Audio is fine.”
Zoe says, “Can we have video back for goodbye wave please.” Yes we will. [Laughing]
My daughter was just warning me that I have to ‘Come back exactly when satsang time is over’. [Laugh] So just like the mind, she chose the opportunity to see that the video was not working and jumped in. See this is the value of vigilance. The mind will always search for opportunities to come up, where it can come up undetected. Just like my daughter saw that the video is not working so she could come up undetected.
So let’s keep things very, very simple. Let’s keep things extremely simple. No complications at all. Don’t pick up anything at all. Drop all effort. Drop all seeking. Drop all work. Let everything flow in its own way. You don’t carry anything at all and then you will see that the world is being carried on its own. Don’t be a doer or a non-doer. Don’t be a planner or a non-planner. Don’t run and don’t stop. You see how this is clear? Don’t run and don’t stop. Is this clear to all of you? Nothing at all is yours to be done, even the stopping. The minute you pick up the idea that ‘I must do something’, even something auspicious sounding like ‘I must stop!’…, even that comes with a sense of doer-ship.
Even the neutrality is not a doing. Neutrality means emptiness actually. It is not a deciding to be neutral. You see? It is the automatic flow of all appearances in Consciousness. Because the minute I say ‘You are not the doer’ you decide not to do. That in itself is a doing. The minute I say be neutral you’ll decide to become neutral now. Actually I should say, maybe I should just say that ‘See that you are completely neutral’.
Shanti says, “I love you so much, Father. Your appearance here is a miracle.” Exactly the same way I feel about all of you. “Nothing less. Thank you so much.” Thank you, my beloved one.
Very good. All of you can see this clearly, you see? So when I say ‘stop planning’ doesn’t mean that you decide not to plan. All that means is: Let it all flow on its own. Yes.
Stacy says, “Clear.”
Julio says, “Yes, clear. No distance to run or stop.” Yes. No distance. Very good.
Kapil says, “The mind is quick to make the ‘not doing’ the ‘new doing.” Exactly. This is very good that you see this. Very good.
Julio says, “All here. Even attention has no distance.” Very good.
Clare says, “Something is being revealed here about not innocence or guilt. Not goodness or badness.” Yes. All this labeling also will fall away.
All this labeling can fall away.
When everything has fallen away what, if anything, still remains?
You must check for yourself.
When it is all empty now, what cannot be thrown away?
What is present?
When everything that can be thrown away is thrown away, what still remains?
Atma says, “Thank you, beloved Father. All clear.” Very good. “Gratitude.” Very good, my dear.
Julio says, “Thank you so much. Everything falling away at your feet. So much Grace and gratitude.” Very welcome, my dear.
Thank you all so very much for joining in this beautiful satsang today.
Moojiji Ki Jai! [Namaste] Thank you.
Let me turn the video on.
[Waves goodbye and blows kiss]
Sangha: Moojiji ki Jai ! Anantaji ki Jai ! Thank you. Love you.
Namaste everyone. Very warm welcome to Satsang today. Moojiji ki jai! Today is such a wonderful day that the light of this beautiful Sangha of Being will be shared with the world. And this is just the beginning. This beautiful Sangha will share so much beauty with this world, so much of this light of …
Namaste everyone. Very warm welcome to Satsang today. Moojiji ki jai!
Today is such a wonderful day that the light of this beautiful Sangha of Being will be shared with the world. And this is just the beginning. This beautiful Sangha will share so much beauty with this world, so much of this light of Self Realization.
And also if this is your first time in Satsang, the way to ask questions is through the chat window. AV’s okay. Okay.
So nothing actually needs to be done. You cannot do anything at all; cannot do anything at all. At one level we can say that you have no power and no control over anything. It’s only an illusion; the delusion of control and control and power which you have. But in actuality ‘you’ as an entity do not exist. You do not exist as an entity at all. You are not a thing.
This is the call of Advaita, that there are not-two. For you to exist separately there must be two, but your existence in the separate realm is only an appearance. There is no reality to it.
And then the question can be ‘Then why do I suffer?’ So at the core of all suffering is the delusion of being a person. At the core of all suffering is the delusion that ‘I am a person’ and this delusion is created and perpetuated only by belief in thoughts.
So we’re making it completely clear today. No fancy words; just complete clarity which has the potential to end all suffering.
So at the root of all suffering is the misconception that ‘I am a person’. And how is this misconception created and perpetuated? It is through our belief in our thoughts. Therefore we say ‘How do we be free from suffering? It’s as simple as letting go or dropping your belief from the next thought’. The simplest way: Just don’t believe your next thought.
Then what happens? Then the day dream will end. The identification with the false will stop. But as we drop our next thought we will not have an expectation of anything happening as well. So in that moment; in this moment, without using belief, you are free.
And if any suffering is arising, there must be belief.
[Silence]
So if we are suffering we can quickly check what are we believing? If there’s any trouble at all, we can check: ‘What are we believing?’ In this moment you can be completely free; in fact you already are. Don’t believe anything. You see? Don’t believe anything at all.
[Silence]
Okay let’s catch up with the chat. Namaste! Welcome once again to all of you.
Cornelia says, “I do not exist; so releasing.” Very good. “Thank you Father.” You’re very welcome.
Atma says, “Then I am empty. Yes, identification with the false will stop. Just this body in the morning needs to wake…, needs more time to wake up than Consciousness. Consciousness is already awake but body not so fast.”
Yes. The appearances can play in any which-way. The appearances can play in any way, you see. It is completely allowed and fine. It’s very good.
Ustreamer 99 is Ginger. Okay. She says, “Anantaji, can you talk about the subtle beliefs that arise as emotion or sensation? Need we explore the subversive thought or just allow them to rise and disappear without touching them?” Yes, yes.
So, an emotion can arise. Let’s say it is a fear that is arising. With the arising of the fear it is still not a problem. It is still not suffering actually. We suffer still only because we believe a thought about this emotion. See? All these emotions / sensations will arise and will be allowed to get released. But it seems like we get into a fight with them because we start believing our interpretation, the mind’s interpretation, of this emotion.
So the problem is still the same whether the appearance is at a mental level or at an emotional level; the problem is always believing the interpretation of it. So then when this emotion arises we do not even label it because the labeling is also an interpretation.
It is just an emotion. And we have seen that something that comes; anything that comes does not last. Therefore it is here now. And we know that it will leave but there is no rush because actually it is seen now that even this does not touch you. There is no ‘me’ to which these emotions belong. They are just another appearance. So the trick is the same; to not believe our next thought, even about the emotion. And then we will stop predicting or having a preference for which emotion should come or not. And with this preference going, the full release can happen, you see? Everything can get released. This is very good.
Ginger says, “I cannot find any beliefs anymore, only habits.” Yes, yes. This is completely fine. It’s good.
Atma says, “Like now, sitting in front of the computer, seems body is still in the process of waking up.”
Yes, yes. So we can track the energy levels of the body, see; how much energy is present in the body; life force is present in the body. That can keep coming up and down, but Being is already present fully. It’s good.
Ajnani says, “That means I am not person but as Consciousness that I am manifested; and if I am unmanifested, neutral attitude. Does that mean freedom forever?” Yes, yes.
So the Unmanifested Pure Seeing …, then there is a birth of the manifested, what we call the Immaculate Conception. So in the Pure Witnessing, Pure Awareness, there is now the birth of the Pure Being. But even in the birth of this Being which is made up of this Awareness Itself; and with the light of the entire universe we have actually never left the Witnessing perspective. It is just that we have now the power of attention, belief and identity, and with these powers we believe our Self to be a person. But actually nothing has really changed.
So right now if you were to imagine yourself to be, say, Tom Cruise, that doesn’t mean that you actually become Tom Cruise. You see? But we have the power to believe that. Then with belief in this and then more and more belief in thoughts we make this belief stronger.
You see? So because there is belief in something, it can seem real; that is the best that it can do. The person can seem real, the suffering can seem real. All these appearances can seem real but none of it can actually become real, even with the power of our belief. Reality is only pure Awareness. So because we cannot stop being Aware, we cannot stop being Aware, we are always Awareness alone. Very good.
Aradhana says, “Last week when there was strong fear arising here, you advised me to allow the energies to express itself through the body if it is arising, but to not interpret it in any way.” Then she says, “With this, could see clearly that the body and mind are not connected; that everything can appear and go. I am untouched.”
This is very beautiful. In spite of any of these appearances in body and mind you remain untouched; the Eternal Witness to all there is.
Ustreamer951 says, “Father, can you talk about love beyond <censored> … There is a huge attraction towards other forms of life; that is birds, plants, animals.”
Yes, some of this is very natural for us. So in this way, if Consciousness is playing out the love for other Beings; birds, plants, animals, then without the interpretation this cannot cause any suffering. Let it play the way it is meant to play; no judgment, no interpretation; no specialness also is needed. All, is just happening as it is happening. This is very good.
So I don’t see any trouble in this. And no need even to compartmentalize if it’s coming from the mind. Let everything flow naturally. So in this moment, if there’s a bird out in the balcony and there’s so much love arising for it, that is perfectly fine as well. And if there’s another human being sitting next to you and so much love is arising, that is fine as well. Don’t create any mental compartments also. When you come to the point of Oneness you will see that all of this is arising within you, and that does not mean that these expressions will stop. No, the expressions will continue very naturally. This is good.
Atma says, “Yes that is what I see; the Being is already present fully. Body sometimes is more energized, other times less.” Yes. “But Being is always fully present. Thank you, Father.” Very welcome, my dear.
Rashmi says, “Father, somehow I feel like Being is not given as much importance here. Feel like the Being is bypassed to Pure Awareness. Don’t know if this makes sense but somehow attention to Being seems like effort but Pure Awareness is so effortless.” Yes.
For some it is needed that they have this middle step. There are no steps actually, but for them it seems like it is comfortable first to take the middle step of putting their attention into the sense of Being, the sense of Presence or the sense ‘I am’. The sense of Consciousness still seems like something solid which can be hung onto, you see?
So, for some, the leap from this sense of personhood directly to Awareness where there is no entity at all, nothing phenomenal to cling onto, seems like it is too much, and the mind creates a lot of fear about it. Therefore in many paths actually it is said to first take this step of being in the Presence of this Atma; the presence of Being. In fact, in many paths, this is enough; they call this Self Realization. But we see that there is a Witnessing even of this Being, and this Witnessing is prior to Being, therefore this Witnessing I am. So either is fine. Either marinating in the Presence of Being or just to stay as the Absolute Untouched Awareness; either is fine. As long as we are not calling ourself a person there is no trouble, yes.
Yes, the other point you made was also very important. Because some have heard this “Stay as the ‘I AM’” or “Stay in the Presence of I AM”. It becomes a practice and they feel like something will be lost if I let go of this Presence ‘I AM’. It is not meant like that. It is just meant effortlessly to see what is here now.
No effort is needed to create Being. Effort is needed to create the false. Effort is needed to pretend to be the false. See? The Truth needs no effort. So what remains without effort? What are you without any effort?
So Ustreamer48241 says, “Is there anything artificial?”
An interesting way to ask this question, so let’s presume that he’s asking: Is there anything which is false?
Yes. So even if you were to say that the entire phenomenal existence is also completely real …, let’s presume that this phenomenal appearance of the world and all the people, this dream state which we are calling waking state, is also real. Everything here is completely real, you see. Even in this phenomenal existence, the presence of a person cannot be found. In the phenomenal existence the presence of bodies can be found. That much we can admit, that there are bodies to be found in this phenomenal appearance, you see? But we are all living the life of people, not of bodies. Because most of our problems are personal problems; they are not body problems. It is not the body which wants to know if something is real or artificial. The body is unconcerned. It is not the body which has relationship problems, it is not the body which has money problems, you see? That’s why we say that ‘The person idea is a second level illusion; not even real in the phenomenal state’. Therefore we can say that this person idea is artificial. The minute, actually, we call it an idea it is seen that it is artificial.
Ajnani says, “With your Grace, fear is gone and so much energy arose with harmony and easiness.” Very good, my dear, very good.
Atma says, “Father, Awareness / Consciousness is all…. <censored> …is merging one into another. I mean, only the Awareness of all of this. Sometimes Consciousness of I AM is more solid, sometimes less, but it is all the same.” Yes.
The witnessing is untouched even with the birth and dissolution of Consciousness. And actually this birth and dissolution of Consciousness is the birth and dissolution of the universe. Doesn’t sound so great but actually it happens every day, you see. When waking state comes, it is Being that wakes up. And in the Being, the entire universe is created. When sleep state is coming, then Being gets merged within Awareness Itself. Consciousness is no longer present; and with this there is the dissolution of this Universe. And the next waking state might come, which might be lead to the creation of a completely different universe, and we call that the dream state. But while we are in it, it is the waking state, you see? And many, many of these waking states can come hence; many, many of these universes are created; all in your own light.
So it can seem like a dream lasted only half an hour but you could have lived the life of a hundred year old in the dream-state in half an hour. And while inside the dream, it does not seem like something is moving on fast forward. A hundred years feel like the hundred years. It’s only after waking up that we see that this time was illusory. You see, and in the same way the life of this person…, the life of this waking state is nothing but the blink of an eyelid. For you, it is not even that. For eternity, even a trillion years means nothing at all.
Aradhana says, “Thank you, Ananta. What earlier used to be very intermingled and difficult to observe; mind, body, emotions, thoughts, concept, imagination seems to be untangling and seen clearly in the light of the Self.” Yes, yes.
Very clearly you can see now. It’s like in the middle of the traffic, when you’re so distracted by all the elements in the traffic you cannot see the road very clearly. But when you step away to the side, you can see everything that is flowing very clearly, and you remain untouched. It is like that.
Atma says, “No real distinction between the two”; the Awareness and Consciousness: There is no real distinction, that is true. “Here it is felt like that.” Yes.
Awareness is all there is.
Rashmi said, “Thank you, Father.” You’re very welcome, my dear.
Namaste, Kanchanbr.
Cornelia says, “The emotion, the interpretation of emotion and the resistance against takes place almost automatically. Only when this personal ‘I’ is trapped in anger I remember that I have fooled myself again.”
But in this itself it is very beautiful, you see, because most Beings, when they appear …, what happens is that even when they’re trapped fully in this, this realization that ‘I have fooled myself again’ does not come, and hence suffering perpetuates. And this amount of time that it takes for this to arise that ‘I’m fooling myself again’…, this time will keep reducing. This time will keep reducing, and now then you’ll come to a place where even the strongest emotion will last only momentarily because you’re not resisting and you’re not believing any interpretation about it.
Ustreamer41 says, “Why this distinction between mind, body, thoughts, etc?”
‘Why this distinction between mind, body, thoughts, etc?’ Yes. In actuality no distinction. There is no distinction. But if you say that ‘I am suffering with something’…, you see? Suppose you go to a doctor and say ‘I have a pain in my stomach’ and then the doctor must look and say Is it in the stomach, is it in the liver, is it in the kidney?’ Then he starts making distinctions because you are complaining of some pain, you see? Otherwise it is fine. We can just call it the stomach. So if no suffering, no question, no ‘nothing’ which is seeming to have some juice, everything is completely fine and free, then no need to make any distinction; even between Seeing and Being we don’t need to make any distinction. But if there is a complaint of some suffering, then we need to make this distinction and see that it is only imagined; what is causing the pain. So it is only to be used as a thorn to remove other thorns and then to be thrown away. It’s good.
[Silence]
Aradhana says, “The distinction comes in for observation.” Yes. “It can be seen and released,” Yes. “and to return to wholeness again. Is that correct, Ananta?”
Yes. Only to see, you see? If you’re saying that there is some pain in the body and we find that a thorn has gone into your finger, then it does not help to just intellectually say that there is no distinction, it’s just one body, you see. You must find where the thorn is; and you see that it is in the finger and then we remove the thorn from the finger. Then it is seen clearly again that it is all one body. Because if really there was no separation, there was no distinction, there was no identification with separate personhood then there could be no suffering, there could be no desire and no aversion.
And we must be true to our Self to observe if all of this is still real for us. Whether something has just been mentally understood or has it become our living experience? Have we actually checked for ourselves that the sun is rising from the East? Or we just heard somewhere that the sun is rising from the East? See, and once the Truth is seen then the distinction between distinction and non-distinction will also not have distinction, you see?
Atma says, “True. No real distinction between Seeing and Being; Consciousness and Awareness.” No real distinction, yes.
Cornelia says, “Father I want to see first the elephant trunk. I want to see first the elephant trunk, but I wake up only when the elephant is in front of me.” Yes, yes, very good.
Ustreamer31551 says, “Sir, wholeness is already there. Why again returning to wholeness?”
It’s an excellent question! It’s an excellent question! That is why we say that you have never left the destination. You have never left the destination. So what is being said here is exactly what you are saying, that you don’t need to walk any paths, don’t need to do any effort; nothing at all is required. You are already the Self. But when initially, for many, the testimony seems like the voice of a ‘person’ then it must be said that: ‘Examine who you are’. Because Consciousness has the power of belief, you see? It even has the power of belief of the false. So with this power of belief of the false, it is God Himself who has deluded himself to pretend to be a person, and then God Himself is playing this game of appearing to himself and saying ‘You are not a person’. This is just the way the play is playing out. And if it is clear that the separation never happened then no need at all for any of this conversation. Very good.
Aradhana says, “Thank you, Ananta, so simple.” Very welcome, my dear.
[Silence]
So like we said in the beginning of Satsang today, today is a very happy day for us, very auspicious day for us in ‘The Sangha of Being’ where the Sangha begins the Advaita channel. We start broadcasting on the Advaita channel today where we will be reading some beautiful scriptures, some words of the greatest Masters / Sages. So with the blessings of all of these Great Teachers, I hope this beautiful channel will bring the light of their words to all of your hearts. And may the light of this knowledge bring complete freedom to all Beings. I’m very, very happy! And if there’s someone here who’s not aware of this channel, you can add me on Facebook and I can point you in the right direction.
There’s also a page on Facebook called ‘The Advaita Channel’ which you can go and join; and that has the schedule for the broadcasts.
A big thank you to all of you who have agreed to do these broadcasts also. I know that some of you struggle with the concept of being seen in this way through the broadcasts. It’s just another resistance from the mind which is being dropped. This is very good.
A big thank you to all of you also for doing the broadcasting. And if some of you here would like to broadcast as well, you can get in touch with us and let us know what you would like to read and we will add you to the schedule.
Okay, so we missed Zoe’s question, and Zoe’s question was, “Father, I still struggle with the concept ‘there are no others’, but when you talk about it I feel great joy.”
It can seem like that, isn’t it?
It can seem like, for some time, it is clearly seen that there is no person here. But conditioning about others is still very strong. It can seem like that, especially with our ‘special’ relationships. But you will see that as all these thoughts and beliefs are being let go of, you will find that this is completely your own insight; that there cannot be another. And then you will see the ‘Ananya state’…, one without another.
Very good. And it’s fine. It’s fine for now. Also, as long as you are not operating from this presumption that you are a person, then this reality given to others cannot last. There is nothing to be concerned about actually. Very good.
Atma says, “Happy too, Father.” Yes.
Cornelia says, “Thank you, Father and Sangha, for ‘The Advaita Channel’.”
Very welcome, my dear, and you must also broadcast, isn’t it? Very good.
Aradhana says, “It is already done, Ananta. Your word makes it so.” Your Faith makes it so, actually. Very good.
Rashmi has to leave early. No worries, my dear, take care. Good.
Thank you Zoe.
So maybe we sit for a few minutes in silence today. Unless there’s a strong burning freedom question, I’m happy to take the next few minutes in silence.
Just let go of all effort, all control.
Leave your attention also completely free.
Let all emotions and thoughts come and go.
[Silence]
The natural state, the natural state of Sahaja Samadhi or just Being as the Self is the simple state; the simple dropping of all effort and all resistance.
Om Shanti, Shanti, Shanti!
Thank you all so very much for being in Satsang today.
Moojiji ki jai! [Namaste] So much love to all of you. [Waves and blows kiss].
Sangha: Moojiji ki Jai ! Anantaji ki Jai ! Thank you. Love you.
Namaste, everyone. A very warm welcome to Satsang today. Moojiji ki Jai. Thank you all so very much for joining in. And if this is your first time in satsang, the way to ask questions is through the chat window. Namaste, Namaste. So what would you like to speak about today? Namaste. Welcome, welcome, welcome. …
Clare says, “Can I share something?” Of course.
Zoe says, “Oscar just wrote ‘hi’.” Hello, dear One. Welcome to satsang.
So while we wait for Clare to share, what should we do? Maybe we play a bhajan? What do you say? Ah, Clare’s already put up something.
So Clare says, “It’s a funny thing. When I woke up this morning, the ‘complainer’ was very apparent inside. And I realized that it’s not a problem. It’s just lining up asking for freedom. So I put it in the fire and smiled.”
Thank you. Very good. All these tricks of the mind are now getting exposed. And even if we believed this thought that ‘Freedom is what I want’…, even if you believe this thought that ‘Freedom is what I want’ then that is the only thing which is binding you in this moment. Not really, but seemingly. That’s why we say that ‘You are completely free right now, until you choose to believe your next thought.’ See, its become so simple.
Bhaghvati ji says, “Silence is good.” Yes, yes.
Maybe today we just play one bhajan and then be in silence, unless someone has a burning question. [Bhajan]: Ananta played the bhajan ‘Bhavani Ashtakam’.
So Julio had said, “Can you please speak about tendencies spontaneously flaring up, from anger or personhood memories?”
Now when we have let go, then all this might come up to get released actually. You can stop resisting, then what will happen is then they are allowed to get released. But if we resist, if we say that ‘This should not happen now’… if you fight what is, if you try to fight what is, it is the ‘what is’ which wins. The mind can never win against ‘what is’. But in the fight you will become tired.
So let everything come and go. And if anger is getting released in this way, it is fine. As long as it is not a habit. And if you feel that anger has become a habit now, then also as your concepts are getting free now, as you’re becoming free from all concepts, then you will find that you have nothing left to defend. There is nothing here that can be attacked, therefore there is nothing left to defend. And if there is nothing left to defend, then you will not experience the habitual anger. But if it is a rare once-in-a-while occurrence, then let these energies get released. Don’t give it another thought. Don’t make it into something important. Continue to identify with just the witnessing itself. Let all of this come and go.
Loney says, “I have gotten the most precious gift. I’ve been invited to Monte Sahaja for a month.” Very good. “I am soooo happy. Family supported this, until now, where it has become real. Now they are really scared and grumpy and negative. Can I support them in any way?”
They are fearful about losing you, and all their tendencies about losing you, or about all the fears of what you might become, might be showing up for them. So we can be compassionate towards them. Not necessary to force any sort of understanding. You know what they are going through, because from our own memory we have seen it happen for ourselves. So don’t judge them in any way. Just be completely happy and compassionate. And if it is truly your best interest which is in their heart, when they see that you are happy and you are joyful, then all of this will get washed away. It is complexly fine. This is very good news. Wonderful.
Weibke says, “Would like to check with you. There is emptiness here. Not sure if maybe this is a subtle indifference. Wow, writing this, fear comes up.”
You say that ‘there is an emptiness here.’ And you’re wondering whether this is indifference. So like we said, don’t worry about labeling any state. Be completely unconcerned about which state is arising. Don’t even label it. And without the labeling, most of the trouble is gone. When you realize that none of this is yours, even the fear which is coming up is not yours, is just another appearance. Just like this plane which is going to fly past. Just an appearance. Just because it is appearing, doesn’t’ make it mine. At best it makes it my appearance. It is actually nothing at all.
But it’s very easy for the mind to pick it up and say, ‘Oh, why does this always happen during satsang?’ You know? ‘Why is it so noisy? Are people getting distracted?’ So if you fall into the pattern of following the mind, following these thoughts, then it becomes all of this. Actually it is just coming and going, it is nothing at all. No state can stay. Although it is called a ‘state’, it cannot stay. You are just the witnessing of all this.
See we discussed also the other day that we must not take our temperature also all the time. In fact, don’t take your temperature at all. Because in taking our temperature, we are constantly giving labels to what is happening to me. And actually, nothing is happening to me. All that is appearing, all these feelings of fear, worry, joy, bliss, peace, all these are constantly coming and going. If we attach or have an aversion to any state then we are creating conditions for our own freedom. You have the power now to let it all be. Just let it be. And if still something comes strong, then you find out the ‘me’ to which this is happening to. It is happening to nobody. This is very good, very good.
Amaya said, “Wow, love the bhajan.” Yes, it’s very nice.
Aradhana said, “Chidananda Roopam, Shivoham, Shivoham.”
Naomi said, “Lovely.”
Aradhana says, “Bhavani Ashtakam.” Yes, that’s what was playing. “Very beautiful.”
Cornelia said, “Oh, so beautiful, silence sings.” Yes.
Clare says, “Exposing the deny-er here.’ Yes.
Zoe says, “Blissful.”
Atma says, “At your feet.”
Zurim says, “So beautiful, Father.”
Cornelia said “Thank you.” Thank you, my dearest one.
Denan says, “That is so peaceful, thank you.” Very welcome.
Oh, Dee is also with us, very good. She says, “Beautiful bhajan.” Thank you, very welcome.
Welcome, Lizelle.
Bhagavati ji says, “The bhajan was an immaculate silence.” Yes. “Thank you.”
Rashmi says, “Loads of tears with the bhajan, Father. Very cleansing.” Very nice.
Louise says, “Feels very quiet here Father. Just realized this is similar to what you speak, Father; because actually there is so much noise going on in the background here (kids and visitors), but if feels so quiet here in satsang. Just like the noise of the mind going on in the background, but staying with my Being.” Yes, this is very good. Very good.
Rashmi says, “Surrendering this thermometer, Father.” Very good! Very good.
Welcome, Jayani.
Weibke says, “There is absolutely no ‘me’ here, but there was a fear the ego was hiding behind the eyeballs. Throwing this into the fire. At your feet, Father.”
Yes. I was physically present in that satsang which Mooji speaks about. And he says that he asked once ‘What is looking from behind those eyes?’ And this one said, (and this was in Tiru actually), this one said ‘That it is the conditioning.’ But actually, it can only seem like that. It can only seem like that. What does it mean, when conditioning is watching from behind the eyes? It means that it is looking at everything from a needy perspective, from a ‘What’s in it for me?’ perspective. See, when we look at the world from ‘What can I get?’ …, constantly looking for ‘what can I get?’ or ‘what do I have to be fearful of?’ this is what it must mean when we say that ‘behind the eyeballs there is conditioning’’ But it is very simple to see there is no such thing in reality. Now for you, this idea of personhood is completely dissolving. Very, very simple. Very good.
Kapil says, “Namaste, Ananta and Sangha. Just joined. Issues with Internet still here. Will hopefully be resolved in a day or two.” That’s fine, my dear.
Namaste, Ajnani, welcome.
Atma says, “This morning, repeated the old feeling of having lost something, but now I am realizing that nothing is ever lost. Just has gone…”
Nothing real can ever go. Only appearances come and go.
Clare says, “Dear Father, I’m not saying this to oppose you; but I find that when a whole lot of stuff is coming up, that it simplifies it and helps me to capture it when I give it a label. Like, example, ‘Oh, all of this is just the comparer’…”
Yes, yes. Initially it can seem helpful like this. This is to say ‘Oh, this is that old tendency of comparing. This is that old tendency of denying. This is the old tendency of fear’. You see, it’s good initially to do like this; but there comes a time when all this will be let go of. It will be enough to say that ‘All this is the same guy’. So we don’t even need to distinguish between whatever is appearing. None of what is appearing is ‘me’ or ‘mine’. Otherwise the mind can trick you, you see? It will keep coming up with various types of tendencies. And then, you will say ‘Oh, this is still here. The interpreter is still here, the comparer is still here’. Then it just perpetuates the journey actually. Which is ultimately going toward freedom. But for me seems so simple to just drop it all right now. Maybe when we see a whole lot of stuff is coming up, it is enough to say that ‘this is just a whole lot of stuff coming up’. All of it is just stuff, which means nothing to me. But it’s okay if you find it helpful at this point, to say ‘Oh, this is this tendency’ …, to label it and to show it the doo, it is completely fine for now. It’s good.
Atma says, “I’m realizing that nothing is ever lost, just has gone…” Yes, we looked at that.
Clare says, “I can simply let it go…, like a stepping stone that helps.” Yes, that’s good. For now, it’s good.
Atma says, “Comes…, stays for a bit and then leaves; but isn’t lost.” Yes. Nothing true is ever lost.
Shanti says, “It’s beautiful to be here in the early morning hours.” Very good to have you.
Ginger says, “The difference between me and all appearances is profound. An abyss.”
Yes. Nothing can cross this bridge. You cannot become part of the appearance and the appearance cannot touch you. This is very good.
Atma says, “This morning, this old fear of losing something precious came back. Previous day is gone. Every new waking up is like new life. Maybe it is fear of new.” Just hand it over to me. Just hand it over.
Oh, Vasundara is here. Namaste, dear one. Very good.
Rashmi says, “Father there is still a sense of doership with closest roles. But I still feel totally <censored>. Is so clear, the play will continue and the person is continuing to dissolve. But I totally remain untouched. I am just watching the play unfold.”
Yes, with the closest roles this sense of doership can still be strong. It’s good that it’s not denied and you see it. And in this seeing itself, it will continue to dissolve more and more. Very good.
Atma says, “Already handed over, Father, while writing.” Very good.
Rashmi says, “So simple, Father.” Yes.
It’s why we said the other day: Supremely Simple Satsang: Just don’t believe your next thought. You see, my Presence, the Presence of Being is already working on you from the inside. The words are just an excuse for you to come to this Presence. But the Presence of Being is my present to you.
Yes, Rashmi says, “Even if the next thought is believed, nothing really changes.” You see, this is what it really is. Very good. “Only the experience is different.” Yes, this is very good.
Shanti says, “Last night there was much mind activity. And there was interpretation about it being unpleasant. But, (and it’s a good ‘but’) it was seen as no different in essence than when interpretation was positive.” Yes. “Still kept feeling bad, but there was nothing to do about it. I’m here. I’m free anyway, despite this negative condition.”
This is very good. You see, both of you are saying the same thing. Now you’re free from any state. You’re not held hostage by the states. This is freedom. Freedom is not a state where we are thinking that is should only be some state which can come, and some should not come. This is freedom what you are speaking of. All is allowed to come and makes no difference to you. You are unconcerned.
Atma says, “This a Grace is just looking at you.” Thank you, my dear.
Aradhana says, “Yes, it’s completely clear that it is being in your Presence that is clearing out the false. Presence is dissolving the mind, until only Love remains.” Very good.
Zoe says, “Sometime recently words come out of my mouth that surprise even me, in a good way; like the various roles get played with no effort.” Yes.
This you will see is completely true. All the roles can happen when none of the seemingly-stickiness, seemingly-juiciness of thoughts. This is very good.
Rashmi says, “Supreme freedom.” Yes.
Prema says, “Thank you for your Presence of Being.” You’re very welcome, my dear.
Weibke says, “The seeing is so pure, and every word you are speaking in satsang strengthens this seeing. All is just falling away here. Thank you so much.” You’re very welcome. This is very beautiful.
Jesse [Louise’s daughter] says, “Bye bye, Ananta.” Bye bye, my dear. Very good.
Rashmi says, “Yesterday anger played out with the children, but actually there was no anger. Just was delivered that way. Hope this makes sense.”
Completely. Sometimes consciousness feigns this anger when it is required. All will play out as it is meant to. Very good.
So now, for the last fifteen minutes, maybe all of us just be in silence, unless there is a very strong burning freedom question. Let’s just be in this beautiful presence of satsang. The true discovery, the true realization lies in this Presence.
Just before we start, we’ll just catch up.
Amaya says, “It’s beautiful. Almost nothing but freedom reports and surrenders. Here there is such distance to everything via letting go of next thought and letting emotions flow through. Thank you.” Very beautiful, very good.
Yes, not believe the next thought. Very good. I feel that I have already given you the master key. Now you’re just digesting your own freedom.
So let’s just be together in silence now.
Allow everything to flow.
Drop all effort.
Drop all control.
Let everything move as it must.
Let all thoughts come and go.
Let all emotions do whatever they want.
Let your attention completely free.
Let the flow of breath happen at it’s own pace.
No control over anything at all.
Just let it all go.
Don’t resist anything at all.
[Silence]
Stay completely open, no difference between inside and outside.
[Silence]
Savor the taste of your own Being. Taste the presence of I Am.
[Silence]
Stay like this.
Don’t pick up any effort.
Hand your existence over to existence.
Nothing can bother you here.
Don’t pick up any belief about yourself.
Don’t accept any stories about yourself.
Hand over everything at the Satguru’s feet.
Om Shanti Shanti Shanti.
Thank you so much everyone for joining this beautiful satsang today.

[Blows kiss and waves]
Sangha: Moojiji ki Jai ! Anantaji ki Jai ! Thank you. Love you.

Q: “Ananta, this trickster mind has found a new disturbing idea which keeps showing up, even in the dream when sleeping. It says ‘This awakening will never happen to you; you don’t have what it takes’.”
Yes, yes. Awakening will never happen to anyone. We can only say that ‘Awakening happened’ as a matter of conversation. Don’t worry about Awakening. You see? What do you mean by ‘Awakening’? Can Awareness ever stop? Can Awareness ever fall asleep? Are you Awake right now? Are you Witnessing right now? This Awareness is what you are and it cannot leave. Even in sleep state it exists. It doesn’t leave you.
So whose awakening are you talking about? So, only in conversation, especially with those who are new to satsang, we can say that ‘You are going towards the process of Awakening’ or we can say ‘When awakening happened…’ or words like that. But Awakening is just the simple realization that ‘I have always been Awake’. So who is the mind speaking to? Who is this conversation being had with?
I just saw a cartoon on Facebook recently; just now on Facebook, a few minutes ago. It said ‘I am always talking to myself because I need the expert advice’. Who is this expert who can predict what will happen to you? Can you answer either side of the equation: who is speaking, and who is being spoken to?
Q: “Awareness will never sleep. Mind is speaking to the ghost-person. By awakening I mean getting rid of this ghost.”
Okay. So where is this ghost? You see that it does not exist. Just because you pretend to be something doesn’t make it real. Then you say something very good…
Q: “No-one speaks to no-one, actually. It is just thinking arising.”
Simple as that. So all your buttons it will try and push; and some you will just be able to withdraw belief from. But this one might have some juice for you, the Awakening concept. And if it has some juice for you, examine it. Find out what is this Awakening you are looking for? What does it mean by Awakening? Don’t hide it now. If there is something that will show you ‘Now I am Awake’ share what it is.
And this is for all of us, because many of us have ideas about Awakening. And what we are usually talking about is the Awakening experience. It is not about an experience. We want to have the ‘laughing Buddha’ experience. Or the ‘crying on the hotseat’ experience. All these are very beautiful but they are not prerequisites to Awakening, not prerequisites to Freedom. It’s not about the experience. It’s about your realization about what is true and what is false.
Q: “When the idea of the person has completely dissolved, when the illusion of the monster under the bed has gone, I will be Awake.”
You see, this is the concept. It is projecting something in the future that the idea of the person must completely dissolve. But what I am saying is: right now there is no person. Right now, is there a person, in the moment, without projecting anything into the future or referring to the past? If it is real, even phenomenally if it is real, then it must show up right here, isn’t it?
So don’t wait for anything to happen completely. There is no Being who was given this birth in this realm in whom the idea of the person is one hundred percent dissolved. Even the great Sages and Avatars have shown the moments in which they believe the person idea. That is why we say: Even Ram grieved when Sita was taken away. Even Jesus cried out on the cross. And these are beautiful examples to show you that in this world of conditioning, some element of personhood will always remain.
The burnt rope will still remain as a burnt rope, but it will lose most of its power. I jokingly say it will lose 99.995 percent of its power. [Laughs.] But if the mind is saying ‘It must go completely’. It knows that it will never go completely. And then it will make you believe in the idea of bondage. So don’t expect now that the idea must go completely. Just be here and present right now. Then where is the problem?
Who wants Freedom right now? Not at the end of satsang. Not in 15 minutes. Not 5 minutes later. Right now. If you want Freedom right now, drop All control. Let go of All effort…, everything. Don’t even control your attention. Nothing.., nothing.., nothing. Don’t control anything. Don’t work at anything. Don’t seek Freedom. …

Namaste, everyone. A very warm welcome to satsang today. Moojiji ki jai!
Thank you very much for joining in. And if this is your first time in satsang, the way to ask questions is in the chat window. Namaste. Namaste. Very good, welcome, welcome.
So what shall we speak about today? [Sound of birds singing.] Yes, there are some birds. Namaste. Does someone have a burning question?
Actually Ram, Arjuna and Jyotika were here a while ago, and I was wondering with them what we are going to speak about soon. Because everything now seems to be so simple and clear. We’ll wait and see what shows up. Very good.
Loney says, “Ananta, this trickster mind has found a new disturbing idea which keeps showing up, even in the dream when sleeping.
Then Clare said something: “Could we speak about fear of engaging in the world; fear of people?”
Yes, we’ll come to that once we’ve finished Loney’s question.
Loney says, “Awareness will never sleep. Mind is speaking to the ghost-person. By awakening I mean getting rid of this ghost.”
Okay. So where is this ghost? You see that it does not exist. Just because you pretend to be something doesn’t make it real. Then you say something very good…

So don’t expect now that the idea must go completely. Just be here and present right now. Then where is the problem?
We are working too hard for something that is the simplest thing. No work is required now; no work, no effort. Drop all understanding, effort, everything. Even let your attention go free. Even yesterday we were saying this. Let’s all do this now, then we will come to your questions. Just let everything go free.
You want Freedom, isn’t it? If you want Freedom, give freedom to everything. Don’t resist anything at all. Allow everything to happen. Be completely open. Let attention also go wherever it wants. Let every thought come. Let all emotions come. Let it all come and let it all go. This is not a doing. This is the dropping of all effort. We are One right now.
I will never point you to something which I have not seen for myself to be completely true. It is only from what has been seen here. So when I tell you that ‘It is simpler than simple’ it is because it has been seen this way. Drop all expectations, drop all images; let it all go. No resistance. Complete openness to all that is arising. Don’t even label what is coming up. Don’t label anything. Don’t even label what is happening now. Someone is understanding it very well, you see? Very good. Just let it all go.
Just like this, naturally, is Freedom. All states are allowed to come and go. We have no sense of control, no expectations; everything is flowing in its own beautiful way. This is Freedom.
And I want to make this point again: even your attention, don’t try to control. I know you’ve heard with some teachers sometimes that your attention should be here, or there, or it should be at home, or it should be anywhere. Just for a few moments even, let attention free. Then you will see that it has nowhere to go. So even the effort to control your attention can go.
Let everything just flow. If your body is moving, let your body move. If some words are coming, let the words come. Just be completely free from all of this. Don’t do anything, don’t ‘not do’ anything. Don’t plan, don’t ‘not plan’. Don’t fear, don’t ‘not fear’. Everything is allowed. Everything is allowed to come. Now speak from here. Now speak from here, then you will speak as Me. It is as simple as that.
Clare said, “Could we speak about fear of engaging in the world or fear of people?”
So we have looked at that, isn’t it? Let all the fears come and let them go. Let the words come from your mouth on their own. All engagement, all interaction, all of it will happen naturally. All physical effort will also flow on its own. Non-doing does not mean that there is no physical effort. The body can still move, the hands can still move, the mouth will still say words, but you just see that all of it is flowing through Consciousness itself. You lose the individual ‘I’. Good.
Atma says, “No more ideas about awakening here.”
Yes. No ideas are required. The Truth does not need ideas.
Zurim says, “Father, to me, is not to identify with this idea anymore. So, I think that this idea is not helping much.” Not at all! [Laughs.] “Because brings frustration any time this idea is here.”
Yes. So the idea of Awakening is the seeming-obstacle in the Freedom which is already here. That’s why I said that I am speaking from what is seen here. What is seen here is that Freedom is already here. If you rely on any idea, in this reliance you are pretending to get bound. For a few moments, just let it all go. Just for a second or two; you can do it.”
Loney says, “Confusion is heavy today.” Hopefully it’s better now.
Zurim says, “I mean the idea of ‘I’m identifying again’.”
I see. No idea is of any use. You see we are going towards ultimate simplicity. We’re not going towards this idea, not his idea. We’ve just thrown everything away now. Lose all your concepts. Without a concept, show me some trouble. Can you show?
Rashmi says, “So simple, so effortless; even effort is seen in me.” Very good.
Shanti says, “When I look at you, Father, I see Truth. I see my Self. All life is my Self. I am life and the Seeing of life.” Very beautiful. “I see awakening and not-awakening.” Very good. “This is the simple truth. No big concepts to retain here.” Yes, exactly what we are saying. Very good. Yes. Namaste.
Then Atma says, “Now the attention is free; going free wherever it wants. I don’t mind it any more. All is allowed to be.” Very good.
Clare says, “Thank you, Father, this is so helpful. I’ve been in the habit of wanting other people’s reactions, and ways of being in the world to be different to how they are.”
You see, this is the important point. We say ‘I must be free, I must be free, but others should be according to me’. This is another trick of the mind: ‘I must be free but others should be according to me’. You see, this is not possible.
To find your Freedom, to find your Truth, you must discover the Truth of all Beings, because it is one Being. Give the Freedom to the world. Give the world its complete Freedom. Then nothing can stop your Freedom. But if you are still retaining some concepts about how the world should be, then this is not Freedom. Because you are setting conditions; not for the world, actually, but for your own self. Because all of this is your own self. Wanting to control. Yes, if you let it go, it is gone.
[Laughs] Shanti says, “Thanks a zillion.” You’re very welcome, my dear.”
Thank you, Clare.
Loney says, “Thank you, Ananta. No words from here.” Very good.
Clare says, “I’m afraid of hurting other people; fearful that mind will talk instead of heart.”
You cannot hurt another. Nothing can hurt you because you are this pure Awareness itself. Therefore what must this seeming ‘another’ be? Can there be another? From the perspective of this Awareness, there is no other. And if you have seen that you cannot be hurt, then nothing can be hurt.
Kapil is having some issues with the internet and he’ll watch later. That’s fine, my dear, very good.
Then Clare says, “And fearful of other people’s reactions.”
Yes. Let all fear arise. Don’t say ‘It is my fear’. Even better if you don’t even label it ‘fear’. Just see it as some energy is arising. What is telling you that it’s fear? What tells you that fear is fear? What tells you that this energy here, this uncomfortable energy here is fear? What do you call fear? What do you call joy? What do you call bliss? Who decided that this is what they are? If you were to drop these interpretations then what would the problem be?
Zurim says, “It’s clear now, Father, thank you.” You’re very welcome, my dear. Very good.
And Clare says, “Especially angry reactions.”
Be completely open. Nothing can hurt you. It can only help to show you what is still being identified with. So if something is feeling sticky then say ‘Okay, I am still identifying as this person or that person’. But now you see that you are no person. You are a nobody. You see, for the ego it’s a big insult. It’s a big insult to call someone a ‘nobody’ in this world. But actually, truer words were never spoken. There is nobody here. The body can appear but there is no person here. There is nobody. There never has been and there never will be.
Soham says, “Maybe the saying ‘Think before you speak’ is relevant if one operates from the mind, but if operating from the Heart anything said will be appropriate.”
As long as we are not buying the mind’s interpretation also of where we are operating from. You see it’s usually this monkey-mind which comes in and says ‘Oh you operated as a person back there. When you operated from the Heart it was so beautiful’. Even this interpretation’s not required. You don’t need to ‘keep count’ or ‘take your temperature’ also. We have seen that many get stuck in this, this self-evaluation. ‘Today, the whole day, I became the person only five times’…, this kind of thing. [Laughs.] You can never become, you see? Only pretend. All is Consciousness. Even mind is Consciousness.
Clare says, “I don’t know,” to an earlier question. Then she says, “Can we hurt other people’s egos?”
This distinction of you and another will go. Without the labeling, without the interpretation, you will see that it is all one Being. You see? And also the ego is ‘the same guy’, as my Master says. It is ‘the same guy’ pulling tricks. If it is auditioning for your attention through thoughts, then it can also audition for your attention through seeming others’ thoughts. Actually the same ego. You just follow the Heart. You just let go of all that the mind is saying. Don’t believe any concept and don’t be worried about any outcome. Don’t be worried about any outcome. If nothing can hurt you, then why worry?
This is the core message of the Bhagavad Gita, actually. That you are the Untouchable, you cannot be hurt. You cannot be burnt, you cannot be cut. Then why do you worry about the outcome? And even if a little bit of this identification with a person is there, then Life will show you things so that you can transcend it. So don’t look at suffering as a horrible thing. Look at suffering as an opportunity. Look at it with wonder. Say, ‘How can this still happen? What am I still believing?’ And then these beliefs will come up, and then in your own light they will be let go of. Don’t be fearful of this cleaning up process. Then you will begin to see everything as Grace. And don’t judge whether you are hurting another person or not. We can never know what is good or bad for another person. Let Consciousness do what it wants to do. It knows what it is doing and it has perfect timing.
Aradhana says, “Dear Ananta, all that is heard in satsang really becomes experiential, and these simple words of the Satguru need to be applied in very close relationships. Like you say ‘that’s when the rubber hits the road’.” Very good.
When the rubber hits the road, then all the concepts which are still around will come jumping out. In the chocolate-flavored moments all seems to be completely fine. ‘Oh, all this is so good, so good’. But this is maybe even less auspicious to say than ‘the rubber hitting the wall’. This is really good. Because in this ‘life’ coming and hitting you, in some sense, all that remains false, which still remains, is now exposed and can now be let go of. This is good.
Soham, very good.
Thank you, Clare. Very good.
Aradhana says, “It’s the moment of Truth when all falsehoods still held on to come up like a brightly lit fluorescent board.”
The writing is clearly on the wall. The mind will try to say that ‘nothing exists…, nothing exists’. But life knows exactly what it needs to do, and the writing shows up very quickly on the wall, and this is the greatness of life. This is not the negative of life. This is the greatness of life. Otherwise, in our denial, if we had the power to deny so strongly that nothing would show up, then for many, many millions of more lifetimes we would just continue this delusion. But because now, especially in satsang, it comes up fast, fast, fast, so that this washing-machine is cleaning up everything.
Many times it can seem like ‘it’s done’…, squeezing is over; all the dirt is out. It feels like that, isn’t it? It’s so simple, it feels like the squeezing is over; but the washing-machine knows how much dirt it has. This washing machine is Supremely Intelligent. It knows completely when to start and when to stop; and if you stop resisting the water in this washing-machine and the tumbles, then it is Freedom. Then you enjoy the ride; you enjoy the wash. [Laughs] Sometimes cold wash, sometimes hot wash, sometimes rinse, sometimes spin-dry. All this you will not be concerned about.
Thank you Clare.
Julio says, (Hulio? or Julio?) “Satsang is describing yesterday’s experience; a tendency arose and anger followed by an interpretation. <Censored > is simply let go of, like you said, perfect timing.”
The good news is ‘there is nothing you can let go of’. Without your own desire for meaning from something, it means nothing. Without your own desire for meaning from some ‘thing’, it is nothing. It is ‘you’ that gives this meaning. So when you withdraw all meaning; it means withdraw all concepts and beliefs, then nothing is left.
Rashmi laughing at the washing-machine example. Yeah, I don’t know where these come from.
Atma says, “Great explanation, Father.” Thank you, my dear.
Jayani says, “So grateful to this washing-machine of Grace.” Yes, this is the washing-machine of Grace. “Let all be dissolved.” Very good.
See with this attitude, no washing is left. The instant you say ‘Let all be dissolved’ and then it is seen that is completely clear; all what needs to be dissolved comes up very strongly, cause it is a beautiful prayer, you see. Then it comes up. Then you simply remember that: You Asked!
All of us say actually, it is a funny thing, all of us say in satsang that ‘whatever is left here, let it all go; let it come up, let it be exposed’. Some of you have also said ‘Let it be whacked out of me’. Some of you have also said ‘Let it be whacked out of me’. Then when life comes with a whack, then you say ‘Why is this happening to me?’ I’m not speaking of anyone here in particular. Just generally, this is the tendency of the mind in satsang. So when the whacking comes, if you remember that this is a prayer that I made, then it will not seem to hurt at all. Very good.
Clare says, “I’m exposing as well a belief / fear that in freedom I’ll have a loud shouting voice…, and fearful of angry interactions.”
See the mind can create this sort of imagery. It is not required. It is very good to let it go.
Aradhana says, “Laughing… What a belting the Satguru / washing-machine delivers. Thank you.”
It can seem like that. It can seem like a strong belting. It is actually a strong melting. So although it can seem like a strong belting it is actually a strong melting. Because you made the prayer ‘Melt it now’, and then your prayer is getting answered.
Atma says, “Very clear.”
Shanti says, “So much light is shining from you, Father.” Thank you, my dear. “It feels so expansive and totally open.”
This is the way I see you. It’s the Self. Completely open.
[Shanti]: “Thank you for your beautiful Presence in service to Truth.” You’re very welcome, my dear.
[Shanti]: “How can anything go wrong now? Everything, everything is Yours and yours alone. At Your feet, my Beloved One. Yes ALL is grace. Om Namah Shivaya.”
Very beautiful. Very beautiful. You’re always in my heart, as my own heart. Very good.
Lizelle says, “Yes Shanti, you are shining today, Father.” Thank you, my dear.
It would not be possible to see this shining if it was not coming from your Own Being; but I’m happy to take the credit if you like.
Atma says, “Need to go.” So much love, my dear. See you soon.
Jyoti is also here from the US. She says, “So many cobwebs removed, Anantaji. Thank you.” Very welcome, my dear. Good to see you.
So much love Lizelle.
Julio says, “The divine washing-machine is in final spin cycle now. Ready for drying.”
Satsang is the final spin cycle. You can say it like that. [Laughs]
Aradhana says, “Divine melting. Thank you, Ananta.” Very welcome.
3 2 1 Drop it all.
Now you are Free.
[Silence]
NOW you are Free!

Every moment fresh!

Don’t buy any deals from the market-place of thoughts. [Gazes lovingly]
You are Free. Don’t pick up anything. And if something gets picked up…, drop it. Can we make it any simpler than this? Don’t pick up anything. And if something gets picked up…, drop it. Very good.
Jyoti says, “I’m reminded off and on: You are always free.” Yes
Aradhana says, “Have been ever-free. Only the false one wants freedom.”
It wants to keep you confused actually.
[Aradhana]: “And this false one is melting in the washing-machine of Life.” Very good.
Jayani says, “Always free, forever untouched. Everything else is just thought.”
Ajnani says, “There is no-one to be free. Ever free.”
As no ‘thing’ you are ever-Free. As ‘nobody’ you are ever-Free. As ‘no-one’ you are ever- Free.
Freedom beyond any concept of Freedom.
Shanti says, “All is flowing. There is no stagnation. Freedom is always present in this natural flow. Just letting go into this freedom.” Very beautiful.
Stacy says, “Free now. Only space for my master in this house.” Very good, my dear.
So much love, Soham. Very good.
Dorthe says, “Such a relief to let go. Such joy. Thank you, Ananta.” Thank you so much my dear. So much love.
Thank you Lizelle.
Jyoti says, “So many golden nuggets today. Don’t buy anything from the market-place of thought.” No offers…, no deals.
Jyoti says, “It’s a powerful mantra, NOW you are free.”
Zurim says, “Yes, yes, yes !! So much love, Father.” So much love, my dear.
Louise says, “Love you, Father. Hugs.” Yes, very good. I was wondering where you were. Big hug my dear.
So now, nothing to do.
Shanti says, “This satsang was a song of freedom. Thank you, Father. Thank you, Sanghaji.” Yes, thank you Sangha.
Jayani, thank you so much, my dear. Love you too.
Rashmi says, “Father, sing a song.”
Maybe I’ll play a song, and sing along. Let’s see which song comes up.
[Namaste]
[Plays Shankara Karunakara with Mooji and sings along blissfully and lovingly]
[Namaste] Thank you all so very much for joining in satsang today.
Moojiji ki Jai! [Blows a kiss and waves]
Sangha: Moojiji ki Jai ! Anantaji ki Jai ! Thank you. Love you.

Someone is understanding it very well, you see? Very good. Just let it all go.
Just like this, naturally, is Freedom.
All states are allowed to come and go.
We have no sense of control, no expectations.
Everything is flowing in its own beautiful way.
This is Freedom.

So, these appearances which we call ‘mine’, which we claim ownership over are our attachments. Can there be an attachment to something which is not an appearance? So, these appearances which we call ‘mine’, which we claim ownership over are our attachments. Can there be an attachment to something which is not an appearance? Contemplate this; and we’ll wait for your answers. What could you be attached to which is not an appearance?
Q: “Father, attachment to satsang.”
Yes. But now you will find that satsang is being in the Presence of your own Being, and you will not use the term ‘attachment’ to Being because Being is prior to any attachment. Okay, let me say that again: You will not use attachment to Being, because Being is the ever-present One. And Being is prior to all arrivals. So what will happen is that you will find that satsang is your own true nature. But if you are referring to this physical format of satsang, this coming to satsang, then wait for all other attachments to drop. See, the mind is very quick to latch on to an opportunity; very quick to latch on to the opportunity and say ‘See, you are attached to satsang’. First, lose attachment to this voice which is saying ‘See your attachment to satsang’.
Another Q: “Attachment to Consciousness or to Being.”
There can be no attachment to Beings. There is no one who can attach to Being. There is nothing which can call Being ‘mine’. Find out this one. This is very good. Can you find out this one, who can call Being ‘mine’? So, when we say ‘my Being’ who must this be? Who can even say Being is mine? Who must this be? You see?
So attachment means that there is the fear of losing something. When we call something ‘mine’ inherent in that is the fear of losing it. Can there be a fear of losing Being? Hmm? Is there any fear of losing Being? No. You cannot lose Being even if you tried.
But now, after this, what appears in the light of Being…, what appears in the light of Being if we call any of that ‘mine’ then we are setting up for trouble. You see? Because what is appearing in the light of Being will get dissolved also in the light of Being. No appearance will stay. And if you know that no appearance will stay, then why get attached to it. Is it not building up to future suffering?
Therefore, the beautiful line ‘This too shall pass’ is not just for the bad times. We usually use this line when times are bad, isn’t it? When strong appearances are showing up and we say that times are bad, to give ourselves consolation we say ‘This too shall pass’. And it is true; everything that has come will pass. But we must say it all the time. We don’t have to say it verbally like this, but this must be the attitude, that whatever is appearing will pass. And in this state, there is freedom.
Any time we have labeled something ‘mine’ we have built up causes for suffering. What, in the appearance, can we call ‘mine’ which will not pass?
Another Q: “No attachment without object. Object is attached to object.”
Is there really an object which is attached? Is it really an object which is attached, or is it more a concept? The concept of ‘me’ is attached to an object. You see? And ultimately, if you are saying that all these appearances are also concepts, then that is fine. That is why I say that even in the phenomenal, objective reality this ‘me’ does not exist. And that’s what makes it very easy, you see? If there was a real ‘me’ in the phenomenal, objective reality then we would have some trouble dispelling it. We have no trouble dispelling the concept of ‘me’ because we cannot find it in the phenomenal reality also. So not even an object it is. So it is only the ‘imaginary one’, it is only a concept which is attached to an object. This is a very nice definition of attachment. An attachment only is this impossible one, this imagined one; this one…, this concept which is attached to an object.
So on both sides of the equation, what do we find? This is very beautiful. So on both sides of the equation…, on one side of the equation we find something which just never existed; the ‘me’. This is on one side of the equation. Then we say ‘attached to’…, we say ‘object’. You see? Phenomenal appearance; internal object or external object. And we know that phenomenal experiences cannot stay. So, on one side it is the impossible one, the non-existent one; and the other one is the one which will fade in time, no matter what it is. Are you starting to see now how funny all of this is? On neither side of this equation of attachment is there anything real, is there anything tangible, is there anything timeless.
Another Q: “Yes, Father. Mind has been saying ‘Too much attachment to Mooji songs, but no belief is given. The Heart totally drowns in the music.”
My Master says this very beautifully; he says that ‘There is no trouble in being attached to an unattached one’. If you find yourself in the Presence of the unattached One, then you can get attached to this unattached One, because the unattached One will never encourage personal attachment. He will drown out even this attachment. So if you find some strong attachment to the Master, let it stay, and know that even this is his problem to sort out. This is very good.
Another Q: “Recently I was scared of terminal illness, and was scared of extinction.”
Yes. See all of these will come; all of these will come. There’s a beautiful story which happened in Rishikesh, (I don’t remember if it was this year or the year before that), but in an accident in white-water rafting one lady lost her partner, actually. He drowned in the Ganga river. And Mooji told her something very beautiful. He said that ‘Even in this, one day you will see that it was Grace; even in this strong event, one day you will find Grace; that was Grace that lead to your own truth’. Even in such a strong appearance, you see?
So even there are these strong appearances of illnesses in the instrument called the body, it will lead to a stronger realization that it was never You. It was only ever another appearance, which is your innocent instrument. This is very good. And even if this body was to go, know that You will be there as the Witness of it. To say that ‘The body went’ must also require Awareness, isn’t it?
You will experience the giving up of this body, you will experience maybe even the dissolution of this entire Universe, and the creation of the next Universe, and the next one. Actually, every night in our dream, we experience the creation of a new Universe; which in the dream state can last for many lifetimes which we can have in that Universe. And then, when we wake up, it is all gone. You see? But it is natural, in some sense, when the dream is on, for there to be some attachment to the dream body. But it is unheard of by someone who wakes up to say that ‘I’m very attached to that dream body which was here, and I was witnessing it just a few minutes ago’.
Another Q: “Not possible to lose Being.” Yes.
Another Q: “Felt fine to let everything go, Father; even the body and all experiencing.”
Yes. So when you talk of experiencing, you’re talking of phenomenal experiencing through the body, isn’t it? And it’s completely fine to let it go. But the ultimate experiencing, the ultimate Witnessing, is what You are; this Awareness which can never be let go of.
Another Q: “Have attachment to offspring and his challenges. There is a desire to want to shield him from challenges and guilt that as a parent, could have done better so the challenges could have been avoided. Seeing it as absolute nonsense, but there is juice also in this thought to cause suffering.”
You see, with our children, with offspring, we have seen that it is a very primal relationship, isn’t it? Even animals have this attachment, we can say. If there is one attachment they have, it is this attachment. As small animal is willing to fight with a lion or an elephant to save its offspring. So this is very natural for it to come. But as you see that you are now burning up all beliefs in concepts in the fire of satsang you will find that nothing needs to be done. Nothing needs to be done. It is the Self Itself which is playing the role of Mother also, so no thoughts need to be relied upon to be a beautiful Mother.
There is no such thing as a perfect parent. There is no perfection in this phenomenal world. But just know that it is not about perfection. When you let go, when Being is operating through you, then know that all is auspicious. So if your definition of perfection is ‘auspicious’ then know that everything already is auspicious. But if your definition of perfection is according to the mind’s definition, then that can never play out. God is never that unkind to play out all the desires of our mind; because then we would forever be lost.
Another Q: “For attachment, it always needs two.”
Yes. There always has to be another. Even if we were to say that ‘I am attached to my Being’ we have created a two-ness there, isn’t it? This is a very good point also; for there to be attachment, there must be two.
Another Q: “Thank you so much. All your problem.”
Yes. I’m very happy to take all of your problems. You’re very welcome.
Another Q: “Totally attached to you, Father.”
Very good. This is an attachment to your own true Satguru in your Heart, and this One will burn all other worldly attachments. No attachments, no grievances, no resentment…, all will flow on its own, and you’ll remain as the witness of all of this.
Another Q: “Yes, the same day I heard Mooji say ‘When the body drops, you will be there to witness it’ and you just said it.”
Yes. The eternal One will outlast this body, just as it has outlasted millions of bodies already. The Universe is your own body. The Universe is the body of this Being. And even this Universe will dissolve. No phenomenon can stay.
So the message stays very simple: Don’t call anything in the appearance ‘me’ or ‘mine’. Before the ‘mine’ there must be a ‘me’ and this ‘me’ cannot be found. If the ‘me’ cannot be found, how can there be a ‘mine’? And all that we can call ‘mine’ is going anyway. Everything shall pass. Find that which cannot …

Find that which cannot go.
Find the unchanging One.

[Silence]
What is Eternal now?
Who is looking from behind your eyes?
Is this one changing?
Does this one have any attachments?
[Minutes of Silence].
Don’t go along with this voice in your head.
This voice in your head is always leading only to separation and attachment.
Who watches these thoughts coming and going?
Who watches the coming and going of all emotions?
[Silence]
Don’t settle for any labels. Don’t settle for any answers.
Who is looking through your eyes?
Be open to this question, and what you will find is not a person; it is the Supreme One. Right now this is true. I’m not giving you any practice. Right now you can check for who is looking from behind your eyes.
[Silence]
Who observes your breath?
As the breath is going up and down, who witnesses this?
[Silence]
Who can sense the beating of your own heart?
[Silence]
Who witnesses the appearance of any emotion?
[Silence]
Who sees all your memories?
[Silence]
Can you find a person here?
[Silence]
Or do you witness just pure Being?
And if it is only pure Being which is witnessed as your own Self, even then we ask:
What is witnessing even this?
[Silence]
Who can experience the Presence and absence of Being also?
Who experiences sleep and waking up?
[Silence]
Who watches the birth of time?
You are that in which a trillion Universes come and go in every instant.
[Silence]
And you decided to play as a person in your own imagination.
And now you say that you enough of this.
You say you have had enough of this imagination of this play.
Then you must Stop.
Just Stop completely right now.
[Silence]
Stop giving reality to the unreal through the power of your own belief.
[Silence]
Enough of this game.
Come back home now.
Enough of this game.
Come home with me now.
[Silence]
And home is already right here.
[Silence]
And then you can say that ‘I never left’.
[Silence]
Stop giving attention to time and space.
And if that seems difficult, at least withdraw your belief from it.
[Silence]
May you always stay in this realization of your True Self.
May no play ever bind you now.
May all leelas come and go in the realization that you are untouched by any of this.
[Minutes of Silence]
This unmoving state of Samadhi is your own natural state.
[Silence]
And all movements arise and dissolve within this.
Stay here.
All questions dissolve in this.
[Silence]
Om Shanti, Shanti, Shanti

Namaste everyone, a very warm welcome to satsang today. Moojiji ki Jai.
Really sorry for getting late today. Thank you all so very much for joining us, and if this is your first time in satsang, the way to ask questions is through the chat window.
Bhagavatiji says, “Am with Nirmayi. It is her birthday today.” Wishing you a wonderful, beautiful birthday. You’re in my Heart always. So much love. Very happy birthday.
So, Aradhana said this morning, or yesterday she told me, referring to some documents she had attached, that ‘Please have a look at attachments when you get the chance’. She said ‘Please have a look at attachments when you get the chance’. And she was referring to the Word document attachments; but I felt somewhere that this is my cue for satsang. I felt it was my cue for satsang today, and we can look at attachments.
So what is an attachment? What is an attachment? An attachment is something in the appearance which we call ‘mine’. You see? The attempt here is always to make it as simple as possible. So we’ll see if the simplest possible explanation of what an attachment is can arise today. So, very simply, if we were to look first, we’ll see that what we call an attachment means something that I call ‘mine’.
So, looking at an attachment, what can it be? It must be a phenomenal appearance which we are calling ‘mine’, you see; a phenomenal appearance which we are claiming some ownership over.
So, these appearances which we call ‘mine’, which we claim ownership over are our attachments. Can there be an attachment to something which is not an appearance? Contemplate this; and we’ll wait for your answers. What could you be attached to which is not an appearance?
So, Rashmi says, “Father, attachment to satsang.”
Yes. But now you will find that satsang is being in the Presence of your own Being, and you will not use the term ‘attachment’ to Being because Being is prior to any attachment. Okay, let me say that again: You will not use attachment to Being, because Being is the ever-present One. And Being is prior to all arrivals. See, the mind is very quick to latch on to an opportunity; very quick to latch on to the opportunity and say ‘See, you are attached to satsang’. First, lose attachment to this voice which is saying ‘See your attachment to satsang’.
And then Lizelle says a different version of this, she says, “Attachment to Consciousness or to Being.”
You see?

Any time we have labeled something ‘mine’ we have built up causes for suffering. What, in the appearance, can we call ‘mine’ which will not pass?
Okay, let’s catch up with the chat.
Ginger says, “No attachment without object. Object is attached to object.”

Wiebke says, “For attachment, it always needs two.” Yes.

Sangha: Moojiji ki Jai ! Anantaji ki Jai ! Thank you. Love you.
We must drop the idea that something is happening to me. All that is happening is just a happening. Nothing is happening to you. Nothing can happen to you. Just like the space is unaffected by what is appears inside the space, you are that Witnessing which is unaffected by all appearances; by any appearance. …
We must drop the idea that something is happening to me.
All that is happening is just a happening.
Nothing is happening to you.
Nothing can happen to you.
Just like the space is unaffected by what is appears inside the space, you are that Witnessing which is unaffected by all appearances; by any appearance.
So any time we say that ‘something is happening to me’ it is not true actually. Nothing has ever happened to you. At best we can say that something is arising here; arising within me or in front of me. But nothing, nothing, nothing has ever happened to you.
Not even enlightenment is happening to you.
Freedom cannot happen to you.
Because for freedom to happen to you it must be possible for you to be bound first.
Even freedom is not happening to you.
Nothing has ever happened actually.
And knowing that nothing has ever happened, we can now stop waiting for things to happen. Stop waiting for things to confirm that you are free.
What is the event that will confirm your freedom?
Whose testimony are you waiting for?
And if we keep waiting for the mind’s testimony it is never going to come; and even if it does come it would be only with the perspective to set you up for failure. It will only build up the spiritual ego and set it up for failure, set it up for more suffering.
No waiting for any events now.
No waiting for any confirmation.
At least can we define, if we are still waiting for something, at least can we say that: ‘This’ must happen and then I know that I am completely free.
What is that ‘this’?
What is it that needs to happen to confirm your freedom?
Can we even identify one who is bound?
And if we cannot identify that one that was bound, then we can see that what is here is completely free.
Free beyond the concept of freedom.
Beyond the idea of freedom.
If all we have is an idea of freedom, an image of freedom then that image will also be dropped first.
Freedom will not confirm an image of freedom.
It will confirm that it is image-less.
You are image-less.
Q: “There is no one here that is bound.”
Very good. So simple and so clear isn’t it?
[Looking intensely at screen before speaking]:
You are the magnificent and completely innocent Self.
Q: Please talk a little about not making any pictures of how freedom looks like. This is, the painting of pictures is, just the mind’s way of trying to be an ally on this search. So the mind knows you want freedom now. So it tries to bring you freedom in its own way. And …
Q: Please talk a little about not making any pictures of how freedom looks like.
This is, the painting of pictures is, just the mind’s way of trying to be an ally on this search. So the mind knows you want freedom now. So it tries to bring you freedom in its own way. And it sets conditions and expectations. It’ll say things like ‘When you stop getting angry, when you stop having desire then you know that you are free’ knowing fully well that it is only setting you up for failure.
It will never say ‘You are free NOW. Let all that needs to appear appear’. So this is one way in which the mind makes pictures. It means expectations, conditions, the ‘state’, getting attached to particular states. This is one way in which the mind makes pictures.
There is another way in which the mind makes pictures. So when the mind hears terms like ‘Being’, it will paint a picture of Being for you. It could paint a picture of just pure space or white light. No? When it hears ‘Awareness’ it will paint this big space of black nothingness. But it is not in what is seen. Even this image is not it.
It is always the Witnessing alone.
The Awareness of this image also is what You are.

Q: I cannot write anything to day because there are too many ‘but’s.
There can be. These ‘buts’ can come. You see? But, but, but…, it can keep coming like this. Doubt can keep coming. But how can your belief go to them without your permission? It needs your approval to make your self suffer, or at least imagine to suffer. And then giving your belief to doubt, giving your belief to thought, you are giving this approval for suffering. It’s just like saying actually that you get a request, you know, and it says that ‘You listen to me and you will suffer’. And you say ‘approved’ by giving it your belief.
So actually both sides of the coin are true. Hmm? Both sides of the coin are true. You cannot suffer without believing a thought. You cannot suffer without believing a thought and cannot not suffer without believing a thought; cannot not suffer when believing a thought. Cannot suffer without believing a thought and cannot not suffer when believing a thought. Because a thought means resistance to ‘what is’. ‘What is’ does not rely on thoughts.
Right now are you relying on a thought? Which thought do you need? Which thought…, so you need to be?
Namaste. Very good.
Another Q: Yes, Father. It’s what I’m discovering exactly. Completely innocent Self. So much joy in this not believing thoughts. So much joy in not believing in mind.
Yes.
Another Q: Just at your Father.
Very good. Very good.
Another Q: No thought is needed to be.
Very good.
And is there a lack in Being? Is there any lack in Being?
If there is no thought needed to be and there is no lack in Being then why rely on thoughts? Which are the special ones? Which are the ones which you are still believe have some meaning? You will see that all of them have no meaning.
Q: “No lacks, Being is being, is complete.” Yes.
Then when a doubt comes, what is the value in that? Why do we give it our belief? This is great contemplation. Isn’t it?
Q: No lack but completion.
Yes. Being is complete. Being is full.
Another Q: Father, you are so sweet. Love you so much.
[Modest chuckle] Love you too, my dear.
Q: ..but (sorry)… [Soft laugh] I don’t know where these words come from. It is a sort of knowing without anyone to know this.
[Repeats] ‘I don’t know where these words come from. It is sort of knowing without anyone to know this.’ There is nobody here. We’re expecting some words to come from an entity, and for your Self to identify the entity from where they are coming. But all that I have been trying to say for so long is that: ‘There is no separate entity. It is all one Being. It is all one Seeing’.
The point of the looking is simple, isn’t it? We look and we see that there is no entity there and we see that there’s just this one Being, the presence of which is ever-present in the heart and even this is ultimately witnessed by the Absolute, by the Self.
So then how can I be this appearance which is arising? I am That. It is clearly seen, this Witnessing of all of this appearance.
The problem is that it seems to be too simple. The only problem seems to be that it is too simple.
