English Translation

A mirage looks real enough to the eye; the madness of the false breaks its own heart in pursuit. Knowing all this, why do you still destroy yourself? Think about your true welfare right now, without delay. Only the merit you have stored accompanies you as an escort; your conduct alone gives its fruit. Says Tuka, in the end the procession goes only as far as the cremation ground, and the consequences of your deeds cling to you like a rash upon the skin.
