English Translation

One who does not wear the sacred tulsi beads at the throat, whose speech holds nothing auspicious, whether man or woman, is truly a wretch in name. One who has no generosity in the hand wears no bangle of valor. The saints have cast such a one aside and shaved him bald in disgrace. Says Tuka, for one who has no balance within, there is only degradation.
