English Translation
When courage fails, even a wife can overpower you. Once lost, former strength cannot be recovered. A mind once shattered cannot be mended by any means. Says Tuka, once fortitude breaks, ruin follows close behind. In this age of Kali, one should practice kirtan; through it Narayana will grant his presence. There is no need to abandon worldly duties, retire to the forest, or take up ash and staff. Says Tuka, all other remedies appear hollow to me beside the Name.
