English Translation

Shame on the life of one who is enslaved to his wife, losing both the next world and his honor. Shame on the life of one whose mind is bound by greed, who never honors a holy guest. Shame on the life of one given to excess sleep and enormous appetite. Shame on the life of one without discernment or dispassion, who craves only the reputation of being a saint. Says Tuka, shame on such people: slanderers and quarrelers, they go straight to hell.
