English Translation
By faith, one of two things must happen; at the very least, some small gift will accompany the reply. A complete refusal is impossible; something in a mother's heart always pulls toward her child. Even for the sake of appearances, they would maintain some dignity. Perhaps nothing is owed to anyone; perhaps there is no failing on any side. Says Tuka, a mother who has given birth carries that bond in her body; the heart knows its own truth.
