English Translation
The unstruck sound resonates in every body, yet without Rama's name on the tongue, how can one be saved? God truly dwells in every living being, but without seeing Him, the other shore is never reached. Knowledge exists in everyone, this is certain, yet without devotion that very knowledge does not become Brahman. What use are mystical gestures and spoken instructions when the lamp of transcendence has not been lit? Says Tuka, do not try to establish God through mere bodily nurturing; Narayana cannot be grasped that way.
