English Translation
Desire has stolen my mind and will not let me gaze upon your face. Great sorrow wells up, and my heart feels ready to burst. Why, O Lord, have you sent me to this in-laws' house, where I have no freedom or authority of my own? At dawn I long to come for your darshan, but hidden desires linger, and no secret effort prevails. All my labors here seem to have gone to waste. Says Tuka, the cost of everything spent appears to be lost.
