English Translation
Elevation or downfall depends on the mind's own resolve. Steady the mind in solitude and the company of the holy. Guard it carefully, guard it well; it runs wild like an untethered animal. Honor and insult are both the mind's own making. Whatever it is trained upon, that is what it does. Says Tuka, the mind can carry you across the ocean of worldly existence, and the same mind can bind you in the cycle of eighty-four hundred thousand births.
