English Translation
On whose support shall I reflect? Who will give courage to my soul? I am no learned scholar, no reader of scriptures, and I have no standing among the pure-born. In this Kali Yuga, people are cunning and will mock me for singing Your virtues. I am caught in doubt on both sides: should I worship You, O God, or should I not? Says Tuka, either let the world shun me or let death come. Both are acceptable.
