English Translation

One who does not observe the Ekadashi vow should be known as a walking corpse in this world. Death counts his days at every moment and gnashes its teeth in readiness. A house without a tulsi shrine at its doorstep is no better than a cremation ground. A family without even one devotee of Vishnu drowns in the river of worldly suffering. A mouth that never utters the name of Vitthal is like the washerman's pit. Says Tuka, the hands and feet that never go to Hari's kirtan are no better than logs of wood.
