English Translation

For the sake of devotion, He threw tantrums with Yashoda, rubbing His eyes and demanding food. He swallowed the universe and held it under His spell. His mother said, 'Who else is here?' There was no one besides Krishna. She asked the child, knowing the answer intuitively. She asked God what had happened to God, and Hari smiled at the absurdity of her question. 'God is right beside them, yet they do not know Him. They believe the false to be true.' They take the false for real and the real for false. The hope-bound and greedy cannot see. 'Open your mouth,' said His mother. He opened His mouth wide, and she saw the entire universe inside. Within Him were the moon, the sun, and the stars. He who contains all this performs His child's play for the devotees' delight. Who can know the mystery of His greatness? He is the life of the world, the God of gods. God showed them this wonder, and the parents fell at His feet. The parents said, 'This alone is the true God. All else is illusion.' Yet that God too was given to them by Narayana. 'My doing and that are also Me,' He said. 'Whatever is contemplated anywhere, I am the one who experiences it.' 'Nothing is separate from Me, and I am not separate from anything, in all these universes.' 'As is the feeling, so is the destiny. I alone am the one who gives the fruit.' 'I alone am real,' says Narayana. 'I have shown My servants the ultimate truth.' Says Tuka, He revealed the certain sign to His own servants: Narayana is present in all beings.
