English Translation
In the homes of the learned, when God is invited in, the ego follows right behind. Therefore I have abandoned all such methods and held firmly to your feet. Scholars and reciters of the Vedas cannot agree among themselves. I went to observe the state of self-knowledge and found nothing but perverse behavior there. Those who have not cooled their own hearts, the so-called yogis, growl at others in anger. Says Tuka, do not send me to any of them, dear Vitthala. Do not do this to me.
