This abhanga was composed when hot water was poured over the Swami at Lohagaon. My body is burning, caught in a wildfire. Run to me, O Keshava, my mother and father! My entire skin and every hair stands ablaze; this conflagration cannot be contained, a funeral pyre has been made of me. My body is splitting in two. What are you watching, O Lord, as my heart breaks apart? Bring life-giving water and run quickly, for no one else can help here.
