तुझा दास ऐसा ह्मणती लोकपाळ । ह्मणऊनि सांभाळ करीं माझा ॥1॥

English Translation
The guardians of the world call me Your servant. Therefore watch over me, O Lord. You are called the Lord of the helpless, the Redeemer of the fallen. Uphold this name of Yours. If You examine my virtues and faults, there would be no end to them. My own heart bears witness. I do not know how to serve You, but You know what lies within. Says Tuka, You are the ocean of mercy. Sever my bonds of worldly existence, O God.
