The discerning devotee bears the paired arrow-seals upon head and trunk. (9) This is the rasa-filled Rāmānandī set of nine tilaka verses. One who bears the tilaka upon the body in this way should repeat the supremely auspicious Name. (10) Thus the dohās called the Nine Verses on Śrī Rāma's Tilaka are complete. Sītārāmaśaraṇa and Śrī Rāghavendrasakhā became his chief disciples, shining like moon and sun. Śrī Rāmapriyāśaraṇa, Rasaranga's lineage-guru, abandoned the five elements and journeyed to Rāma's abode. (2) He wandered among Mithilā, Ayodhyā, Prayāga, and Citrakūṭ, his detachment and love swelling within him. By expounding the Bhaktamāla he made devotees of non-devotees; he gave the Rāma mantra and freed them from intoxicants and meat.
