In this tradition Śrī Jānakī is the chosen deity; the liberating six-syllabled Śrī Rāma mantra and meditation upon the royal Lord are its essence. Its doctrine is the worship of devotional rasa, in which servant and worshipful Lord stand in the relation of worshipper and worshipped; its path proceeds through the primal masters and the gate of Śrī Kīlasvāmin. Śrī Rāmānuja and Rāmānanda are the venerable forebears; the robe, necklace, bow-and-arrow emblems, and life itself take Rāma's form. Śrī Kāmendramaṇi, who bestows friendship with Sītā-Rāma, is friendship with Rāma embodied and the home of Ayodhyā. (134) Brahmā sowed the seed of the Lord's fair fame in the world's garden, and the rain-cloud increased it; its desired fruit is liberation. The fame of embodied Brahman is rasa-filled: the Dhāma Kāṇḍa, seven books, and lovely cantos are its leaves. In the springtime of Tretā, Rāma is the mango tree of the solar line, while poetry sits upon its beautiful branches. Sweet, heart-stealing syllables coo ‘Śrī Rāma, Rāma.’ I bow to Vālmīki, crest-jewel among poets. (135) As a support in the crooked Kali age and deliverers of crooked hearts, Vālmīki and Tulsī became the foundation of Rāma's story—so Nābhāsvāmī proclaimed. Maṇḍana, Vihārī, Veṇī, Toṣa, Raghunātha, Śeṣa, Cintāmaṇi, Bhūṣaṇa, Nevāja, and Sukhasāja; Senāpati, Ṭhākura, Kavīndra, Śukadeva, Gaṅga, Nīlakaṇṭha, Sundara, Śṛṅgārī, and Jitarāja; Rasika Govinda, Kālidāsa, Ghanaśyāma Deva, Padmākara, Śrīpati, Sumera, and other crowns among poets—Bodhā, Keśava, Sūra, Yugala, Dineśa, Tulsī Gosāī, and the assembly of good poets like masters. (136) His body is consciousness and bliss, a mass of brilliance, strength, and knowledge, the abode of Rāma devotion and the destroyer of sin. Benefactor of saints and dispeller of grief and distress, he shows compassion to the poor and suffering and breaks their sorrow. Servant of Raghunāyaka and helper of Sugrīva, he brings Sītā happiness and is the night of beautiful love. Maṇi Rasaranga's beloved, the dashing son of Añjanī, is death to the wicked, guardian of the child— (137) Death to the wicked—
