Fresh English translation

Hear the description of the eternally liberated. Abandon the seeds of desire and attain the lotus feet of the Supreme Lord, the compact reality of consciousness. Those pure persons who dwell in the delightful eternal Abode behold directly the beautiful form of Sītā’s Lord. The world’s net never touches them, nor does the least ignorance seize them. They sport with Sītā’s Lord in innumerable ways and with boundless enthusiasm. They continually desire service to the treasury of nectar and possess unfathomable surges of supreme delight. They regard only what accords with the Lord as their own enjoyment; pleased by his pleasure, they are captivated by his form. Bearing the Lord of Kosala’s command upon their heads, they could fashion the whole universe equally, yet no such independent desire arises within them, for the Lord does not command them in that way. Servant and served are mutually steeped in one another; no calculation of lesser and greater can grasp their secret. It is Sītā’s Lord’s natural disposition to show limitless regard for his servants. Who could sing that wondrous realm? Viṣṇu and Brahmā grow weary with the effort. The excellent glory of sacred Sāketa pervades all that moves and does not move. What can an unskilled material soul know of the distinctive course of Ayodhyā’s Lord and his Abode? Having received a little grace from guru and chosen Lord, I have described the wondrous greatness of the Abode. Those who construct arguments about it are base people who make the mind dance. Thus I have described the exceedingly generous marks of the eternally liberated. Whoever hears with love finds the taste for divine play rise in the heart. Among the eternally liberated, beloved Hanumān is foremost; therefore they delight to place the dust of his feet upon their heads. Without sorrow I have expounded the soul’s five distinctions; Yugalānanya Śaraṇa says only the supremely accomplished understand their secret.
