English Translation
The saints foretold the ways of the Kali age: the twice-born would abandon righteous conduct. That very thing is now visible in practice. They lean toward irreligion, not true religion. Austerity and vows require effort, and they find it more pleasant to just feed the body. Though they call themselves God's own, they do not come to the temple. If they are truly devoted, why are they not detached from worldly life? Says Tuka, people who hold such arrogance are bound for hell.
