English Translation
Whatever the mind finds sweet, You fulfill that very wish. Now You have become everything externally as well; You have taken every form. There is no need for effort; just taking Your name with love is enough. Says Tuka, O compassionate Panduranga, You provide everything that is needed.
We ask forgiveness for any inaccuracies in rendering Tukaram ji’s original Marathi.
In Plain Words
Whatever the mind finds sweet, that very wish You fulfill. Now You have become everything on the outside too; You have taken every form. There is no work, no strain, in it; just take the Name with love. Tuka says: O compassionate Panduranga, You give everything that is needed.
What it means
Tukaram describes a God who answers the heart's desires and then fills the whole world besides. Whatever the mind finds sweet, Panduranga grants, and has come to wear every outward form as well, so the devotee meets Him everywhere. The way to Him asks no hard labor or technique; it is enough to take the Name with love. The closing note is gratitude: the compassionate Lord supplies all that is needed, so the path is one of ease and trust rather than effort.
