English Translation
We are now elder and younger to each other. There is no one behind us, no one before us, no second anywhere. Solitude has ripened. One unwavering feeling. Hari savors all things alongside us. Tuka says: bodily togetherness, in one place, where no second exists.

What it means
This is the language of union pushed almost to nonduality. God is no longer only the beloved but every relation at once, elder and younger, the whole family folded into one. The repeated no second is the key: where there were two, lover and beloved, there is now no gap left to cross. Tukaram keeps the warmth of the bridal image, body close to body, but what it points to is a oneness in which separateness has simply dropped away.
