English Translation
Let me see with my own eyes the warmth of my very life. Vitthal alone is our God; everything else is empty. He stands behind Pundalik, hands resting on His hips. Says Tuka, I shall hold in my chitta the Lord of Rakhumai.

What it means
Tukaram asks for one thing: to see with his own eyes the One who is the warmth and dearness of his very life. He cuts everything else away as empty and lets Vitthal alone stand as God. He fixes the figure precisely: the Lord standing behind Pundalik with hands on his hips, the image at Pandharpur. To hold that single form in the heart, the Lord of Rakhumai, is the whole of his devotion.
