திருமாலிருஞ்சோலை மலையை வணங்குக

கிளர் ஒளி இளமை கெடுவதன் முன்னம் வளர் ஒளி மாயோன் மருவிய கோயில் வளர் இளம் பொழில் சூழ் மாலிருஞ்சோலை தளர்வு இலர் ஆகிச் சார்வது சதிரே (1)

Before radiant youth decays, go without weariness to Māliruñcōlai, ringed by flourishing young groves—the temple where the wonder-working Lord of ever-growing light has chosen to dwell. That is wisdom.

சதிர் இள மடவார் தாழ்ச்சியை மதியாது அதிர் குரல் சங்கத்து அழகர் தம் கோயில் மதி தவழ் குடுமி மாலிருஞ்சோலைப் பதியது ஏத்தி எழுவது பயனே (2)

Do not value the low enticement of graceful young women. The fruit of life is to rise and praise the moon-brushed peaks of Māliruñcōlai, temple of the Beautiful Lord whose conch thunders.

பயன் அல்ல செய்து பயன் இல்லை நெஞ்சே புயல் மழை வண்ணர் புரிந்து உறை கோயில் மயல் மிகு பொழில் சூழ் மாலிருஞ்சோலை அயல்மலை அடைவது அது கருமமே (3)

Heart, there is no fruit in doing what bears no fruit. The deed worth doing is to reach the slopes of Māliruñcōlai, encircled by enchanting groves, where the rain-cloud-hued Lord gladly dwells.

கரும வன் பாசம் கழித்து உழன்று உய்யவே பெருமலை எடுத்தான் பீடு உறை கோயில் வரு மழை தவழும் மாலிருஞ்சோலைத் திருமலை அதுவே அடைவது திறமே (4)

To cast off the hard bonds of karma, struggle free, and live, the right course is to reach the sacred hill at Māliruñcōlai, where incoming rain-clouds crawl—the glorious temple of him who lifted the great mountain.

திறம் உடை வலத்தால் தீவினை பெருக்காது அறம் முயல் ஆழிப் படையவன் கோயில் மறு இல் வண் சுனை சூழ் மாலிருஞ்சோலைப் புறமலை சாரப் போவது கிறியே (5)

Do not use your strength and ability to multiply evil deeds; strive for dharma. The sure path is to approach the outer hill of Māliruñcōlai, surrounded by flawless generous springs—the temple of the discus-bearing Lord.

கிறி என நினைமின் கீழ்மை செய்யாதே உறி அமர் வெண்ணெய் உண்டவன் கோயில் மறியொடு பிணை சேர் மாலிருஞ்சோலை நெறி பட அதுவே நினைவது நலமே (6)

Think of this as the wise means and do nothing base: direct your thought along the path to Māliruñcōlai, where does gather with their fawns—the temple of the One who ate butter from the hanging pot.

நலம் என நினைமின் நரகு அழுந்தாதே நிலம் முனம் இடந்தான் நீடு உறை கோயில் மலம் அறு மதி சேர் மாலிருஞ்சோலை வலம் முறை எய்தி மருவுதல் வலமே (7)

Think of it as your good, and do not sink into hell. Strength lies in reaching and circling Māliruñcōlai, where the stainless moon draws near—the enduring temple of the One who once raised the earth.

வலஞ்செய்து வைகல் வலம் கழியாதே வலஞ்செய்யும் ஆய மாயவன் கோயில் வலஞ்செய்யும் வானோர் மாலிருஞ்சோலை வலஞ்செய்து நாளும் மருவுதல் வழக்கே (8)

Do not pass your days without auspiciously circling. Make it your daily way to reach and circle Māliruñcōlai, where the celestials circumambulate—the temple of the wondrous cowherd who turns all things toward the good.

வழக்கு என நினைமின் வல்வினை மூழ்காது அழக்கொடி அட்டான் அமர் பெருங்கோயில் மழக் களிற்று இனம் சேர் மாலிருஞ்சோலை தொழக் கருதுவதே துணிவது சூதே (9)

Take this as the established way, lest you drown in hard karma: resolve to worship Māliruñcōlai, where herds of young elephants gather—the great temple of the warrior who struck down the woman with the deadly creeper.

சூது என்று களவும் சூதும் செய்யாதே வேதம் முன் விரித்தான் விரும்பிய கோயில் மாது உறு மயில் சேர் மாலிருஞ்சோலைப் போது அவிழ் மலையே புகுவது பொருளே (10)

Do not practice theft or gambling and call it profit. The true treasure is to enter flower-opening Māliruñcōlai, alive with peacocks and their mates—the beloved temple of the One who first unfolded the Veda.

பொருள் என்று இவ் உலகம் படைத்தவன் புகழ்மேல் மருள் இல் வண் குருகூர் வண் சடகோபன் தெருள் கொள்ளச் சொன்ன ஓர் ஆயிரத்துள் இப் பத்து அருளுடையவன் தாள் அணைவிக்கும் முடித்தே (11)

Upon the fame of him who created this world as meaningful reality, clear-minded, generous Śaṭhakopa of bountiful Kurukūr spoke this clarifying decad within a thousand. It leads unfailingly to the feet of the grace-filled Lord.
