பக்தி பண்ணும் வகைகளைத் தொகுத்துக் கூறல்

கண்ணன் கழல் இணை நண்ணும் மனம் உடையீர் எண்ணும் திருநாமம் திண்ணம் நாரணமே (1)

You whose minds desire to approach Kaṇṇan’s paired ankleted feet: the sacred name to contemplate is certainly Nārāyaṇa.

நாரணன் எம்மான் பார் அணங்கு ஆளன் வாரணம் தொலைத்த காரணன் தானே (2)

Nārāyaṇa is our Lord, ruler of the Earth Lady, destroyer of the elephant, and the cause himself.

தானே உலகு எல்லாம் தானே படைத்து இடந்து தானே உண்டு உமிழ்ந்து தானே ஆள்வானே (3)

He himself is every world; he himself fashioned and raised them, himself swallowed and released them, and himself rules them.

ஆள்வான் ஆழி நீர்க் கோள்வாய் அரவு அணையான் தாள்வாய் மலர் இட்டு நாள்வாய் நாடீரே (4)

The ruler of ocean-waters reclines upon the deadly-mouthed serpent. Offer flowers at the mouth of his feet and seek him day after day.

நாடீர் நாள்தோறும் வாடா மலர்கொண்டு பாடீர் அவன் நாமம் வீடே பெறலாமே (5)

Seek him daily with unwithered flowers; sing his name, and release itself may be attained.

மேயான் வேங்கடம் காயாமலர் வண்ணன் பேயார் முலை உண்ட வாயான் மாதவனே (6)

Mādhava dwells at Veṅkaṭam, dark as the kāyā flower; his mouth drank from the demoness’s breast.

மாதவன் என்று என்று ஓத வல்லீரேல் தீது ஒன்றும் அடையா ஏதம் சாராவே (7)

If you are able to recite again and again, “Mādhava,” you will meet no evil and no fault will approach.

சாரா ஏதங்கள் நீர் ஆர் முகில் வண்ணன் பேர் ஆர் ஓதுவார் ஆரார் அமரரே (8)

Faults do not approach those who abundantly recite the names of the water-filled-cloud-hued Lord. Are they not fulfilled immortals?

அமரர்க்கு அரியானை தமர்கட்கு எளியானை அமரத் தொழுவார்கட்கு அமரா வினைகளே (9)

He is difficult for immortals yet easy for his own. Deeds cannot remain with those who worship him without ceasing.

வினை வல் இருள் என்னும் முனைகள் வெருவிப் போம் சுனை நல் மலர் இட்டு நினைமின் நெடியானே (10)

The spear-points of powerful darkness called deeds flee in terror. Offer fine flowers from the spring and contemplate the lofty Lord.

நெடியான் அருள் சூடும் படியான் சடகோபன் நொடி ஆயிரத்து இப் பத்து அடியார்க்கு அருள்பேறே (11)

Caṭakōpa is one whose condition wears the lofty Lord’s grace. These ten within his thousand are the servants’ attainment of grace.
