सखि षट दल सहस अनंदा धुनि द्रवत श्रवत द्विजचन्दा गति बाजन परम प्रवीना रस गावहिं रीति नवीना ॥६॥ दल चारि सहस सखि श्यामा सो तौ प्रभु मन की अभिरामा लिहे कज्जल रंग बहूरे जस जोग तहाँ तस रूरे ॥७॥ दल दुइ हजार कृपावति कर चमर करैं मन भावति दल एक सहस करुनावति कर लीन्हे छत्र लड़ावति ॥८॥ इन्ह आदि अपर बहु दासी निज निज कृत चतुर प्रकाशी सखि अंगन प्रति रति कोटी रमा रामचरण छवि छोटी ॥९॥ ॥ हरिगीत छन्द ॥ बहु छत्र चामर व्यजन सखि ताम्बूल बहु लीन्हे खड़ी बहु रंग रंगित भाव रंग पराग बहु पात्रन लड़ी बहु वसन भूषण पाक पय बहु सखिय कर अंबरन छड़ी बहु सुमन सुमनज सुमन रस प्रिय सुमन गति पंडित बड़ी ॥१॥ स्वर स्वर विविध कर स्वरकरन्ह स्वरकरनि लीन्हे वरवनी सुबरन परम सुबरन सबै सुबरन लिहे सुबरन घनी पुर चारु चारि दुआरि पर बन चारि चारु वसंतनि तरु बेलि तृण फल फूल परन सुलसत मय चिन्तामनि ॥२॥ ॥ राम मनोरम छन्द ॥ सब सखिय किशोर किशोरी तह नित्य रचे रस होरी तरु दिव्य सुधा भरि लाई पिय तन मन को अन्हवाई ॥१॥
Fresh English translation
On the six-petalled lotus, a thousand joyous companions are expert in rhythm and instruments; their music melts even the hearer. A thousand dark-hued companions on the four-petalled lotus delight the Lord's mind, carrying many colours of collyrium and applying each where it belongs. Two thousand compassionate attendants wave fly-whisks, and a thousand merciful ones hold aloft parasols. Countless other servants display consummate skill in their allotted tasks; innumerable modes of love fill every courtyard, while Rāmacaraṇa's power to picture them remains small. Companions stand bearing parasols, fans, betel, vessels of many colours and fragrant pollen, garments, ornaments, prepared foods, milk, flower-creations, and flower-essences. Musicians take up many notes and instruments; golden attendants bear golden things. At the four lovely gates of the city lie four lovely, ever-springlike groves where trees, vines, grasses, fruits, flowers, and leaves all shine as wish-fulfilling jewels. All companions remain forever youthful there and continually stage the Holī of rasa.
