The three folds at the waist and the girdle trace beauty's very boundary, as though beauty had taken form to eclipse all three worlds. Their fine cloth shines at the waist like lightning, the moon, and emerald peaks together. Anklets sound around honey-fragrant feet like golden bees humming at lotuses. Moonlike nails gleam upon red lotus-petals, and the red lac shines with incomparable lightning. The soles are oceans of nectar whose auspicious marks are fish for the companions' hearts. Hanumān, Śiva, Śuka, Sanaka, and the poet count themselves among the five companions who remain near the Lord and await his command. All the marks dwell in the heart and become manifest as one supreme service that touches the Beloved's mind. Beside the bodies of Lāḍilī and Lālan, every comparison is as powerless as innumerable fireflies and lamps beside the sun. Jewels, oceans, Hari, and Hara themselves are inadequate comparisons; how can Rāmacaraṇa, poor before this divine treasure-house, describe the moving lake of their paired forms?
