The pavilion description continues: beneath it is a canopy whose brilliance darkens crores of suns and moons; divine strings of pearls hang as though Dhruva and the constellations were offering homage. (8) Marvelous jeweled banners, auspicious standards, and pennants shine there; how could the sun illuminate a place where lamps radiate the splendor of crores of cosmic eggs? Below is an incomparable, heart-stealing ruby platform, supremely lovely and glittering, where Śiva and Śivā become absorbed in love. (9) Upon it stands a throne fashioned by the Self in the likeness of the Self. Who could count its radiance—crores of suns and garlands of moons? At its center shines a lotus of a hundred thousand petals, making the full brilliance of the day-jewel and the moon, jewel of night, seem laughable. Above it rests a beautiful divine circle marked with the threefold gesture, filled with incomparable brilliance, great nectar, and jewels. In sugandhā meter: (1) In its center sits Queen Devotion. At her right is the gracious Lord, the divine pair, a mine of beauty. Rāmacaraṇa begins to describe her form, first performing auspicious rites, bowing his thousand heads to the earth, and holding the dust of her feet in his heart. (2) A moon-ornament and crown shine upon her head with the brilliance of countless suns and moons; her serpent-like braid seems to drink lunar rasa. Her face captivates the swan's kin, while bee-like locks cluster around it; her gracefully curved brows steal the beauty of crores of Love's bows.
